STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES :

+.) Polymorphic Shapeshifting: Unlike most shapeshifters, Gurlanins are polymorphs meaning that they can change their form to that of the enviroment as well as living beings. Their naturally suited for spies and assassins.

+.) Telepath: Gurlanins are Telepathic, meaning they can communicate with nearly species in the galaxy and vice versa. Gurlanins also exhibit an unsettling ability to telepathically hide themselves from force-sensitives unless they are incredibly powerful.

+.) Echolocation Hunter: Added onto normal senses, Gurlanins also have a powerful echolocation sense.

+.) Tech Savvy: Talen personally picked up a keen sense for technology amongst the Sith, giving him the ability to slice systems and hack his way through security. He is not a master but exhibits skill.

+.) Highly Intelligent: Talen graduated his educational courses with top marks on the Korriban Sith Academy.

+.) Agile and Quick: This is entirely dependant on his form, but when his natural self he is quick and agile, capible of remarkable feats of stealth and athletics.

-.) Dark Side Radiation: The Dark Side is strong with this one. Talen may be able to hide his Force Sensitivity but he still radiates the Dark Side like heat.

-.) Light saber Inefficiency: Yes, he uses a Lighsaber but very rarely, and is rather inadept in a long term duel with anyone more experienced than him and even those on his level.

-.) Poor Commander: Talen is not a solider and fails at commanding lackeys in most respects, tis why he stays in the vocation of Assassin and Spy.

-.) Coward: This only extends to the fact of dying, the Gurlanin is terribly afraid of death and will do anything to prevent it, this leads him into bouts of paranoia that weakens him at times and degrades his loyalty to the Empire.



APPEARANCE: Talen is a Gurlanin through and through and therefor his appearance can change at nearly any moment. However, in his natural form he is a large looping canine-like predatory creature with jet black fur and deep red eyes. He extremely sharp teeth that ran along the length of their snout, with four fangs protruding over their lower lip, each ending in a double point, giving him a near amusing look. Oddly enough he also has a large burn going down his left flank where the exposed flesh has been dyed a deep red.


BIOGRAPHY: Born on Qillura the Gurlanin lived a normal life for his first few standard years. He never knew his strong connection of the force and never knew he was any more powerful than his own kind. It was all to change however as the Gurlanin was found out by a traveling Dark Jedi. He was taken in by the Force-Wielder and taught the basic aspects of the Force. That would not last however.

Whilst traveling through Sith Space, he and his Master where found out, his Master was slain when he refused to join a Sith Lord's vassalage and in fear of death, the Gurlanin quickly sided with the Sith. He was placed through the Sith Academy on Korriban. With some knowledge of the Force prior the Gurlanin excelled and graduated on top marks. When the Sith Lord returned to inspect his new Apprentice, Talen lured him into the caves, and in a feat of pure luck and stealth art managed to slay the Lord and his two Apprentices. He took his Master's former Lightsaber and left Korriban to seek his place amongst the Sith Empire.

During the Fall of the Empire, the Gurlanin escaped custody of the Jedi. The Sithling moved into the outer-rim where he bounced from planet to planet trying to garner power where he could. For a time he lead a small gang in Hutt Space but was overthrown when his own gang boss got ambitious and lost his lightsaber in the pursuing fight. His despair grew further when the One Sith were formed. He believed firmly that the old ways were the best ways and continued his deeds.

Failure and failure again eventually pulled him down to the ground. After his last failed enterprise, a company in One Sith Space. These failures eventually broke his spirit and he decided to try a new path. The Light Side could redeem him of his failure...
