TAL CORVIN - REPORTER

BACKGROUND

Born on Denon to a pair of mid-level managers in a corporation, Tal grew up restless and ambitious to find meaning beyond just academics and school. Inquisitive to a fault, Tal's record in education was marked with excellent grades and various behaviour notes. Even as a youth, she trusted very little that she was told and always demanded explanations, which doesn't work when you're a kid and being told to finish your Galactic History assigment.

She studied Communications and Political Theory on Corellia, graduating with distinction. During her time at university, she worked at the student news organisation on the local Corellia news desk. She combined this with a period of time interning at the Corellia branch of the Holonet News Network. Both opportunities gave her a taste of how she could turn that natural pushiness into something productive. Both taught her the thrill of the investigation and the glee of nailing an important story.

Following her graduation, Tal was briefly hired by the Holonet News Network, but she grew frustrated at the junior assignments they gave her to do. After a year, she left HNN and joined up with an upstart news organisation in Corellia, known as The Interstellar Standard. The IS had just been newly established and Tal was it's third, and most recent hire. Tal currently works as a staff reporter on a general assignment to gather news and interviews.

PERSONALITY

Driven, ambitious and incredibly pushy, Tal has a habit of rubbing people the wrong way. Some find her brash attitude and dislike of authority charming. Others find it immature and annoying. Unlike many people her own age, she enjoys awkward questions and will try and dig deep on every topic she can, though she can sometimes be persuaded to drop topics when in friendly company, if only to keep some semblance of a social life. Whilst she was undeniably intelligent, she didn't yet possess the experience or the good sense to hone her smarts into something incredibly useful yet.
