-Vanessa Nacht Seele-
Empress of the Forgotten Worlds
INTRODUCTION:
Full Name: Tai'ko Vin
Alias: Vanessa Nacht Seele
"When all else fails, courage is the key. It is what allows use to rise above everything, the factor that lets us become what we were meant to be. Courage is everything."
Official Title: Bookkeeper of Ireial, Empress of the Forgotten Dream World
Homeworld: Unnamed Planet in the Outer Rim
CHAPTER 1: The Basics
Faction: None.
Rank: Bookkeeper/librarian. Sith Acolyte.
Gender: Gender fluid, identifies most with female.
Age: 22
Species: Morganian
Height: 5 feet and 7 inches
Weight: Roughly 99 pounds (underweight)
CHAPTER 2: Building it Up
Hair: A dirty blonde in color, Vanessa's hair is kept short. The girl rarely does anything with it, often just smoothing it out in the morning or merely pushing it out of her eyes. On occasions when she has to look 'nice' she takes a comb and brushes most of her hair forward, letting her bangs swerve to the right side of her face. Basically she often looks she she just got out of bed.
Eyes: Unlike many other Morganians, Nessa has long and thin eyes, forming what some would call an almond shape. Most of her eyelashes are naturally a tad long, curling slightly at the ends. The irises of her eyes are a silvery blue, matching those of her mother.
Skin: Some would call her skin a sickly white. That's mostly true, especially the sick part. Slowly her skin is beginning to tan, and return to its old tone. Three scars over her chest remain from surgeries, along with one on her left arm where an IV went wrong. A couple darker ones can be seen over her right arm, where she attempted to cut into a vein and end her life.
Body Structure: After spending four years in a coma, Nessa has been left thin and frail. Though her limbs are long, they are extremely skinny, and some of her bones seem to stick out. Over the past year she has started to gain weight again, but she's still underweight and unhealthy.
"Perhaps I am just insane. Oh well. But I will always remember the world I ruled, the people I loved, and those that I saved. If one day it turns out to really have all been a dream... At least it would have been the best damn dream anyone has ever had."
Personality: Describing Tai'ko as anything less than a paranoid, semi-depressed, and imaginative girl would just be wrong. Before her cancer and resulting coma she was different. Kinder, happier. But now that she has tasted the worlds of her dreams, she longs to return there. For several months she had to be put on watch, as she attempted suicide multiple times, aiming to go back to the places she experienced while asleep. This has left her tired, heavily scarred (both mentally and physically), and quiet. Speaking to her about her past will usually get her excited, and is the easiest way to start the path towards friendship.
Over the past few months more things have started to change. For one, Tai is now fully aware her dreams were simply that. Dreams. This has effected her greatly. No longer does she think about taking her life (part in thanks to her teacher), and she is far more social. At times she can be quite the flirt, despite the fact that she's not interested in a relationship at the moment. The girl's intelligence seems to come out more nowadays as well.
CHAPTER 3: Filling in the Gaps
Biography:
Childhood: No name was used for the planet. Travelers considered it a dangerous world, and rarely entered the atmosphere unless picking up the minerals that were mined there. Only a few settlements dotted the surface of the unnamed system. Locals used to call it Vryen or Sylla. But others varied in what the called it, and eventually they just referred to it as "Mine 71." Tai'ko Vin was born on this planet, to a small family of Morganians. For a short time they lived there before moving to Dromund Kaas.
Some who call themselves lucky would change their minds if they met Tai'ko. Some who consider themselves to be unlucky would also change their minds if they met her and heard her story. For she was neither unlucky or lucky. It all depends on perspective and understanding. The girl knew that, and didn't bother to label herself. Instead she simply accepted what she had been through, knowing that some had had worse, and that some had had better. Neither denied her the right to be sad or happy.
Not long after her family had moved, with her only being 3, her family became unable to support her. Tai'ko was given to an orphanage in the city of Ireial, far from where her parents settled. Over the next seven years the girl lived there, growing up with twenty or so 'siblings'. An Umbaran became her best friend, and the two considered the other their sister. After the 'tragic' illness Tai'ko would get, her Umbaran sister would be the only person she actually remembers.
Unfortunately the Morganian had little friends outside the orphanage, and was the social outcast of the academy she attended. Many of the other students bullied her, believing her to be beneath them. Tai's force sensitivity was unknown until later, so she wasn't pulled out to be trained as a Sith. Depression settled in at an early age, and she attempted to end her life at age 14. Eventually her Umbaran sister pulled her out of the rut she was in, and managed to keep her happy for some time.
Cancer: A yearly medical inspection went poorly one year, not long after she had turned 16. Scans and tests showed she had a rare form of cancer that was slowly breaking down her body. Eating and moving became harder and harder for her, her body weight dropping quickly. Treatment began immediately, with her going in for radiation twice a week. Surgery was risky, but eventually the Orphanage approved the procedure and gathered the sufficient funds to pay for it.
Most of the tumor was removed the first time around. Further treatment was used to try and reduce the size of what remained. Somewhere along the way Tai lost the ability to bear a child, but it was necessary in saving her life. Second and third surgeries were performed, finally getting rid of the last of the growth. However Tai went into an unexpected coma, not waking up for four years. During this time she was put on life support, and medication was continually entered into her system via IVs.
Dream Life: While she was in a coma, Tai experienced a life-like dream world. In this world she was known as Vanessa Nacht Seele, the child of a noble. Eventually her coma-father died, and she became the Duchess of an expansive Kingdom. The dream world was more primitive then the real one, and was filled with magic and dangerous creatures. Much like fantasy novels that Tai had grown up on.
Once a dream year passed (only 6 months in real life), Vanessa had rose to become the heir to the throne. She conspired with a powerful mage to kill the Emperor of the planet. In the end she did, before turning back and killing the man who had helped her. Having played her game of shadows she came out the victor, becoming the Empress of the Forgotten worlds. Over the next 7 years (3.5 RL years) she ruled, quickly gaining the affection of her people. Records of the land would consider her a fair ruler (despite her murdering the former leader).
Though there is no real proof, some believe that Tai is actually the 'reincarnation' of an Empress from thousands upon thousands of years ago, and her dreams are actually memories locked away. Whether or not this is true is unknown. The more likely theory (if she isn't merely dreaming) is that while on Dromund Kaas a force ghost took her body, not knowing that it was dead, and took over her mind, making her dreams more of a former reality.
Awaking: After four years of sleeping Tai, know calling herself Vanessa, woke up. Almost all of her memories from the real world were gone, or at least locked away in ther depths of her mind. The only person she recognized was the Umbaran she considered her sister. Though even those memories were foggy. Vanessa was convinced that the Dream World was the real world, and wanted to return more then anything. Psychologists were assigned to her, and did everything they could to try and get her memories back. Originally Nessa refused, thinking they were only trying to trick her. In time she accepted it, and attempted to remember.
Treatment Records: "Doctor Triabii speaking. Tai'ko Vin is my current client. We have been trying for months now to get her to realize she is in the real world. No success has been made so far. The only thing she remembers from this world is a young girl she calls her sister. All treatment so far has been futile. Medication seems to have no effect on her, and she can be highly aggressive towards the nurses... If you ask about her experiences in what she calls the Forgotten Worlds she'll smile, and talk about her so-called home. Two days ago she tried to kill herself, cutting deeply into her right arm. She's still recovering in the hospital. Tai seems very upset, and has already asked that the doctors let her die several times... I don't know if there's any hope for her. For now we'll keep a close eye on her and monitor her status. Who knows if she'll ever get better."
Discovery: After three months spent locked up in an asylum, Vanessa was more violent than ever. Employees at the facility were desperate to get rid of her. A certain redhead did that for them. Circe Savan came to the compound, interested in potentially finding someone to assist her in opening a dimensional portal to... *insert science-related words here*. It was decided that the Morganian woman was a perfect pick for that. So Savan took her in, helping her recover and teaching her to use the force. Unfortunately things went south from there... Circe was brutally attacked (for reasons unknown to Ness) and nearly died. At the hospital she met up with Ven'Rain (a new friend of hers) along with some people she didn't know.
By the end of the night Ven was dead, and Circe was a broken woman.
Unsurprisingly the two managed to recover, but Ness is yet to forgive Ven's killer, one Ashin Varanin. Let's just say a few dreams may or may not have involved the brutal murder of said lass. Key word being 'may'. Due to this event Vanessa has decided to stay away from romance, fearing the attachment that can come out of it. Instead she focuses on building business, training, and forging connections and alliances.
Force Status and Abilities: Force Sensitive, currently has no training in the force. Can manage simple acts, and sometimes when upset can do a force push, though this is rare.
CHAPTER 4: Smoothing it Out
Strengths: Despite being a 'tad' insane, Vanessa is still very intelligent, and a fast learner. Her skill with a blade has become quite apparent in her sparring. The young Morganian is also agile, being quicker than one would think, considering her past illness. Members of her species are known for their two hearts, which gives them the nearly unique ability to stop one if it's damaged, preventing it from simply pumping blood into their chests. If Ness chooses to, she can also become quite the brewer (like many of her kind).
Weaknesses: Strength isn't her forte. Nessa is thin, frail, and still sickly. Also she's clinically insane, making her movements watched and mobility limited. Plus you can't forget her depression and endless longing to return to the dream world, which makes her put herself in dangerous situations more often, in hope that she'll be able to escape this world. Morganians are more likely to get addicted to substances, especially alcohol. In addition, they are physically weaker than the average human. One punch from someone like Fabula Cavataio and they'd be crushed in an instant.
Habits/Quirks: When available, Nessa will sit in a corner. Something about the shape makes her more comfortable. Also the girl tends to whistle quietly, as it helps her relax.
Sexual Orientation: Pansexual, AKA being attracted romantically to all genders and gender identities. Prefers those that are biologically female.

NOTE: This is my first character here, so please forgive any mistakes. Feedback is appreciated, as I would like to know what I could do better next time. Thank you.

Thank you very much :)
It took awhile to write, I had a clear image in my mind and wanted to get all the details right.
Though I just noticed a typo :(
She'll sit in corners, not set...
*goes to fix mistake*

Thanks for all the compliments =)
@[member="Lilith Mae Lancaster"]: It takes more time then it's worth most of the time :p
I still remember my friend Ven'Rain taking three days to write a 17 page character sheet.
Then again, she's crazy, so... yeah.

Is the name supposed to mean "night-soul" or "night, soul"? In case of the first it's "Nachtseele". If it is in deed supposed to be the later then it is already right.
