DESCRIPTION
Founded in 200 BBY, Tagge Co initially served as a front for a crime syndicate handling contraband and counterfeiting before transforming into a massive, legitimate—though notoriously brutal—business empire. The corporation is headquartered on the Mid Rim planet of Tepasi. In 19 BBY, while operating out of the Tapani sector, the House of Tagge was heavily invested in Galactic Empire military production. During the Galactic Civil War, their subsidiary, Tagge Industries Shipyards Limited, manufactured massive capital ships like the heavily armed Tagge Battlecruiser and the modular taskforce cruiser used by the Imperial Navy. In recent times, the company has stood by its Imperial roots, supplying the new Galactic Empire with ships, in order to rake in that sweet sweet war profiteering money. After the fall of the Galctic Empire, however the company ceased military production. the first reason is spite, as the CEO and owner Galen Tagge didn't want to sell weapons to the Sith Covenant as he was a naval officer of the GE. The second reason is that it makes the company a military target for governments. And it doesn't take a doctorate in logic to realize that, having your factories blown up isn't good for business.

RATIONALE
Galen Tagge came into possession of the company, through inheritance after his parents had died. After butting heads with the board of directors and investors, Galen made the company private as he didn't need rich brats with money to spend to tell him how to run his family business. After seeing plenty of corruption on his home planet of Tepasi, through the ineffective Galactic Alliance, Galen started selling military resources to the Galactic Empire. While he didn't agree with the Sith. and he wasn't a fan of having his Planet having a dictator, it was better than the civilians getting robbed blind through high taxes and greedy senators.
