I'm Sorry Dave

- Intent: A stylish alternative to "proper armour".
- Image Source: Archer (TV Series)
- Canon Link: N/A
- Permissions: N/A
- Primary Source: The Empire Strikes Back
- Manufacturer: Gildenleaf Incorporated
- Affiliation: Open-Market
- Model: The Tactical Turtleneck™, see below for (functionally identical) variants.
- Modularity: Yes; comes in dark black, a slightly darker black, and other, less stylish colours. The "Tactical Suit", "Tactical Evening Dress", "Tactical Robe", "Tactical Swimwear", etc. are all functionally identical, though Gildenleaf Inc. takes no responsibility for injuries caused by lacking coverage. Attires made of especially thin fabric may or may not offer subpar protection.
- Production: Mass-Produced
- Material: Gildenweave
- Classification: Anti-Blaster
- Weight: Very Light
- Resistances:
- Plasmatic and Energy Weapons: High
- Lightsabers and Disruptors: None
- Kinetic Penetration: High
- Kinetic Energy: Low
- Near-supernaturally well-fitting and almost unnaturally comfortable.
- Suavely Secure: The Tactical Turtleneck™ offers not insignificant protection from energy weapons and kinetic penetration while remaining light, comfortable, and thoroughly stylish. Anyone wearing one of these is guaranteed* to look positively suave.
- Dubious Protection: The Tactical Turtleneck™ offers no protection whatsoever from lightsabers and the like, is unlikely to withstand more than a single shot (at best) from high-powered blasters, and does little to prevent force transferal.
The first and as of yet only article of armoured clothing produced by Gildenleaf, the Tactical Turtleneck was originally envisioned by and produced for Adrian Vandiir; after it saved his life (but left him heavily bruised) during the Battle for Wayland, the Sith Lord heaped praise upon the attire until Gildenleaf finally decided that it was worth a shot and authorised it for mass-production.
It would never be as good as proper armour, of course, but for paranoid partygoers or Dark Councilors refusing to wear armour it was perfect.
*Gildenleaf takes no responsibility for lacking charisma, absent gravitas, or unappealing facial features.
