---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STRENGTHS:
RACIAL
+ Small and Dextrous- Nezumi are very small. This makes it easy for them to go about unnoticed. That combined with their natural agility make them very difficult to hit with conventional attacks. Nezumi can fit through any space that their heads can fit through, much like their non-sentient cousins.

+ Clever- Most Nezumi are clever, and the ones that aren't rarely survive long. They are naturally inquisitive and prone to taking things apart, just to see how they work. This often leads to them putting more interesting things together again, especially with their own use in mind. They learn new skills quickly, especially when learning them in a 'hands on' fashion.

+ Strong (For their size) - A Nezumi can pick up and carry or drag an object much heavier than would be expected- up to four their own weight for the average Nezumi. This also means that things like climbing, even in challenging circumstances, offer no difficulty for them, as carrying their own weight is not a challenge.

+ Keen Senses - Nezumi have keenly developed senses of smell and hearing in particular, and are very sensitive to minute changes around them, alerting them of danger.

PERSONAL
+ Machine Mind - Hirou *gets* machines. Give them enough time and this Nezumi will reverse engineer anything and find a way to build a version useable for small hands. Forget about fixing it. Hirou will make it *better*.

+ My Family Loves Me - No matter how bad things get, Hirou knows that family matters. It's a source of mental strength in hard times, and a source of actual support when they need it.

WEAKNESSES:

RACIAL
- Just Plain Old Small - While it can be a boon, being this small is also a challenge. Most regular tech is not made with the Nezumi in mind, and they typically have to rely on their own technology or clever alternatives. Though they have dextrous hands, they are small, and thus limit what they can and cannot do in settings built for bigger species.

- Delicate - Their bodies are delicate when compared to larger creatures. While it *may* be possible to survive a single hit from a regular blaster at full power if the Nezumi is VERY lucky, two is not going to happen.

- Low Instance of Force Sensitivity - While it is not completely unheard of, Nezumi able to wield the Force are rare.

- Short Lifespan - Nezumi, while longer lived then their non-sentient cousins, have a relatively short life span. The age span above takes in to account accidental death, which is unfortunately common for Nezumi. The oldest known Nezumi is 21 years old; ancient by their standards.

PERSONAL
- Heart on my Sleeve - While it's a little harder for a non-Nezumi, given the race's reliance on body language as part of communication, it is very easy to tell what Hirou is feeling. They have no ability to hide it, and always wears their heart on their sleeve.

APPEARANCE:
Hirou is on the tall side for a Nezumi, and takes very good care of their fur, so it's always sleek and shiny- except when it's covered in engine grease, but that's okay. Hirou has mostly white fur, with some irregular brown spots, and black, glittering eyes. While they don't usually wear clothes per se, Hirou is very fond of accessories, and almost always wears tiny goggles and a leather shoulder belt that holds a variety of small, useful items. Hirou's tail is longer than average, and they are very proud of it.

BIOGRAPHY:

Names and Clan:
Tabigarashu Madara 'Hirou' was born on the Nest-Ship Shugenja. The Tabigarashu Clan is a small clan that has only recently branched off from the Shugenja clan, and still shares their Nest-Ship. They have named their clan 'Wanderer', though the word is more nuanced than that. Hirou's Given name, Madara, means "Spotted". As a pup, Tabigarashu Madara took the personal name 'Hirou', as they have a knack for finding things, whether they were lost or simply needed by the Clan.

Clan Tabigarashu- an offshoot of the Shugenja Clan, they take the Shugenja task of studying the "Too Bigs" very seriously. They are one of the most adventurous clans, and most members spend at least some time living amoung the "Too Bigs". Largely because of this, Clan Tabigarashu has a higher mortality rate than average.

Childhood:
Hirou grew up, the oldest (by seconds) in a litter of five. Though the oldest in this litter, Hirou's parents ('Ichimi' and 'Tsubasa') had one litter before, and several after (and show no indication of stopping). All told, Hirou has 19 surviving siblings, which is a large number for the Tabigarashu Clan. There is a certain pride in that, both from within the family and from the rest of the Clan.

It was obvious that, from a young age, Hirou had a knack for the mechanical. They specialized in scrounging materials, as well as improving upon existing designs. Some of these experiments failed spectacularly, but more often due to the limits of the materials rather than any flaw in the design. Hirou spent a lot of time with the Head Mechanic (Kimuzukashi) of the Shugenja, learning everything possible. It was assumed that, when Hirou reached maturity (around 1 year of age), that Kimu would offer a formal apprenticeship. What no one (outside of Hirou's family) expected was for Madara to pledge to gather the materials necessary to build the Tabigarashu their own Nest-Ship.

While the Tabigarashu, as a scion of the Shugenja, were welcome on their Nest-Ship, there was some tension. The reason for the split (as amicable as these things often, but not always, were), was because the Leader of the Tabigarashu believed that not only should individual Nezumi go out in to the galaxy, but that they should all go- bringing the Nezumi Nest-Ships (those will to make the journey) out in to the stars. Of course, this hinged on someone being willing to make that journey. None were. This old disagreement (15 years and several generations past) had sat as poorly with Hirou as it had that first leader of the Tabigarashu. Though now dead, that Nezumi's vision was such an integral part of Hirou's psyche that there seemed no other choice.

Of course, the building of any new Nest-Ship was an enormous undertaking, usually spanning generations. Hirou doubts they will ever see it with their own eyes. But it is worth working towards.

Adulthood
For the next year and a half, Hirou worked, designing a ship that could be piloted and run by only one Nezumi, but had room for materials to be shipped as well. Normal Nezumi freighters, like their larger counter parts, required a crew of at least two, and frequently more. Hirou did not want to assume that anyone would be willing to come with them on this errand, and even if someone did, knew what risks were being taken- the ability to pilot and return with the ship was paramount to this endeavor. Hirou named this ship Akiso Hoshi. Roughly- Star Stealer.

With promises to return soon and often, Hirou set off in to the Galaxy, with nothing but stories of the "Too Big" as a guide.

Small Mechanic's Tools
Nezumi Sized Data Pad
A smart little jacket commissioned as a gift by [member="Darth Saarai"]
Nezumi Blaster - Half the strength and range of a hold-out blaster. Only has one shot before needing to be recharged
Fusing Pen - Often used as a staff or walking stick
Backpack Shield Generator - Jury rigged to allow the smol to carry it about.
Shadow's Folly - Received after Gree

Hirou's Personal Library:
Hirou's personal library occupies the area beneath a desk in an unused storage closet at the Saaraishash HQ on Yavin IV. Many of the books and media present have been gifts from [member="Velok the Younger"], or for those volumes Hirou does not own personally, on long term loan from [member="Darth Saarai"]. Despite having full access to the Archives of Saarai, there is something special about having their very own (thus far smol) library. Hirou is always very excited to add to their slowly expanding library, especially things written by their friends.
