SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Big Bada Boom!: The T-9 or the T-Over 9000!https://soundcloud.com/supergogeta/its-over-9000 is the dominant blaster pistol in terms of sheer firepower in the galaxy. It fires a hellish bolt of explosive energy, capable of wreaking havoc on groups of beings rather than the targeted firepower of normal blasters.
  • Splash: The T-9’s bolt isn’t just powerful, it explodes causing a small explosion with each shot.
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
  • Ammunition?: The T-9 only features four shots per magazine, which then takes a moment to reload compared to the ease of normal pistols.
  • Lethal: The weapon may well be lethal to use, barrel damage can cause it to explode violently in one’s own hand, the firepower of the weapon makes it dangerous to use on point blank targets, and accidental discharges can result in the death of the operator. If it gets jostled to violently, the crystal could misalign and detonate the weapon the next time it was fired.
  • Heavy: The T-9 comes in right under the maximum weight for the blaster pistol classification by sheer micrograms.
DESCRIPTION
When the Blaster Wars returned to the galaxy, BlasTech watched and waited, designing their own weapon in secret. The president of sector operations overseeing the project reportedly stated "I want a gun that says 'someone is gonna die' but leaves it up to chance who that might be." and “I want the customer to fear for someone’s life every time they pull the trigger, even at the practice range” in briefings discussing the product. Several weapons designers are said to have handed in their resignation when BlasTech found loopholes in safety regulations to exploit rather than actually produce a safe to use weapon leading to it to be dubbed the “Ruusan Roulette” by the ones that remained.

Immense Firepower was how the T-6 Thunderer supposedly “won” the Blaster Wars of the ancient era, and it is how BlasTech Industries intends to win it again. The T-9 uses kyber crystals and overcharge capacitors to enhance the Sighttp://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sig blaster gas it channels in outrageous quantities to create the highly unstable plasma globs fired by the T-9. The resultant energy bolt exploded when the containment field disrupted across several meters. Tests with the weapon claimed the bolt had lethal potential up to two meters away from where it initially struck.

Of course, such an ambitious weapon is not without its drawbacks. First, it doesn’t have a stun setting as there was simply no way to include it given the sheer power emitted by the weapon. But that’s hardly what concerns users about the weapon system. Its volatile ionized gas can be lethal if the canister is struck, so carrying too many magazines can be akin to strapping active grenades to one’s body. The sheer size of the pistol makes it heavy and cumbersome to use one handed or draw from a holster. The weapon is so powerful that it possess a recoil enough to have an experienced user slap themselves in the face with the weapon, and its internal mechanisms can be jostled by the firing of it. Executives claim that it requires a cleaning and maintenance every fifty shots fired form the weapon for it to preform safely, but in practice it being thrown around a room, or hit, kicked, or dropped too hard its focusing crystal can become misaligned which can cause firing the weapon to have explosive results. Furthermore sometimes the Mandalorian Iron barrel is still warped by continuous use of the weapon, which can also be tragic to use.

Nevertheless the T-Over 9000! sees use by spacers, smugglers, and bounty hunters who just really want to make sure they kill their opposition on the first shot or enjoy the deadliness it has in tight spaces. It suffers higher restrictions by many governments and planets due to its dangerous nature, and some planets have outright banned it as an affront to sentient decency. It’s hardly the favorite BlasTech may have hoped it would be, but it is every bit as fearsome as BlasTech knew that it would be.
