STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Exemplary Shot: A trained sniper, Sy' is capable of accurately shooting at extreme ranges, as well as handling less accurate firearms at closer range
Mildy Adapted: Sy' has become accustomed to the loss of his arm and is capable of handling most daily tasks with only one hand
Cool-headed: With plenty of experience under his belt, the Chiss is rarely preturbed or distracted
Stalker: Light on his feet, Sy' can often move fairly quietly in the wilds

One-armed: Sy' lacks a left arm and refuses to accept cybernetic replacements

APPEARANCE:
A somewhat shorter specimen within his species, Sy' is of a slighter frame and leaner musclulator. His left arm is entirely gone, chopped off expertly at the shoulder with only a burn scar left where the appendage had been. Thanks to his expertise in the field, he has thus far avoided being scarred in any overt manner, the arm aside. He tends to wear regular clothing and simply shortens the sleeve on the left side. He keeps the scar covered under most circumstances

BIOGRAPHY:
Sy' was particularly well coordinated and had a steady hand as a child. While growing up his dream was to be a doctor, however, the needs of the town required that he joined the hunting parties after he came of age. Here, it became obvious that his natural aptitude towards near silence and the steady hands were inclined to bringing down game. His time spent with the other hunters led to greater training in firearms use than in the medical field, however, he did attempt to follow through with his dream. As time went on and he reached adulthood, he joined the military to put him through medical school.

His plans changed when he was offered a promotion and a change in career path within the military. Joining a special force group as a probationary marksman, Sy' continued training in the realm of sharpshooting. No longer focused on medical school, the Chiss was able to further his newfound career. Within a year he enrolled for full-fledged sniper training. As rough as it was, he persevered and came out with flying colours. Every now and then he remembered his past dream, but put it aside as childish desires that are no longer needed.

When the special operations branch that he worked in was disbanded as part of a government peace treaty, Sy' along with several other soldiers were seemingly lost in the mad grab by other agencies for the personnel. With his information mostly gone in the mass data wipes and his friends having lost their jobs as well, they collectively decided to become mercenaries. When they started, they followed a few basic rules, to fit their morals. As time went on they made enough money to purchase a shuttle and were able to begin free-lance work off-world. The group left the planet and began working all over the galaxy. As time went on, some of the older members left, some newer people were recruited and the group kept going. It was not to last.

On Nar Shadda of all places, the group was apprehended for an attempted assassination. Sy' was imprisoned alongside most of his friends, likely to have a life sentence. A gang working for a bloodthirsty Hutt sprung the group and included them in the Hutt's plan. The pay was good, but the group was unwilling to do several jobs that violated their code, the gang leader ordered them to be executed and Sy' turned on his allies in order to survive. Breaking everything he had agreed to, he worked for the Hutt fully and soon was able to work directly with the Hutt rather than through the gang.

It was over the next year that he became bored with the work on the smuggler's moon. It was too easy, few snipers were known in the business and he had proven himself better than most of them. He started moving beyond the Hutt's work and simply killing for the challenge, taking greater risks, harder targets, longer shots. Until at last, fearing that he would bring too much attention to his organization, the Hutt acted. He took away the Chiss' weapons and had him left in the street, claiming Sy' would be collected when he had calmed down.

During that time as a homeless traveler, Sy' realized what he had become and decided to change. But not before dealing with the past. He approached the Hutt again and rejoined the crime syndicate. With his weapons returned he killed the Hutt and left the world with one of his yachts. Selling it off as soon as he reached another planet, the Chiss began moving about continuing work as a mercenary. At some point during this interim, he lost his arm left, though he is unwilling to tell anyone what really happened.

For a while, Sy' took up being a marksman trainer. Teaching himself how best to live without his trusted left arm, he was able to pass along his skills. It did not take long before he had managed to adapt and even overcome his disability on the sniper range. He then picked up the odd mercenary job to test his refined skills. Finding himself still quite effective, he continued accepting the occasional job while maintaining his work as a tutor for several private students. He has since gotten other small-time jobs, working with kids, some studies in medicine, firearm construction, scouting, and more besides.

Not really, the average height is about 5' 9" so he is still within the understandable height range.

Though it could always be both parents were relatively short and he got most of that from them, blasted genes. =P
