Sword-Woman Training

Governors Residence
Why was the thirteen year old daughter of a very influential member of the Omega Protectorate on a Crusade controlled planet? Well that was easy, he father had paid, Phyrrha Nikkita, a Mando and from what Noah had heard, one of the best swordswomen in the galaxy, so it only made sense that Noah would send his daughter to a expert swordswoman, for a Corek, having the best combat training in everything was the ideal. So that's why she sat, here in a chair in the main foyer of the governors residence, with two armed guards watching her from the other side of the room, she was after all a Protectorate members daughter.

I smiled as I picked up a Vibroblade, a short sword, a dagger, and a blaster pistol eternally set on stun. All the weapons were dulled to prevent cuts and severe damages done to my new trainee and myself. More so for the student. Noah Corek had spoken to me a few weeks ago about wanting to find training for his daughter. He was a busy man, and so training directly from him would be nigh improbable. I would be paid according to how well the girl, Melissa, would perform after her final test. I was fine with that.

Dressed in a training uniform of short shorts, and a tank top, I wore braces on my arms, and boots that reached up to my knees. Cracking my knuckles, I then grabbed the weapons and walked into the main hall where she was being kept. Opening the door, I looked to be a warmonger, Carrying every available weapon. I nodded with a smile to the girl as my open left hand used the force to bring a table to set up and fold open. I placed the weapons down on the table as I spoke to the 13 year old girl.

"Hello Ms. Corek. My name is Pyrrha Nikkita, you may call me by whatever pleases you." In a few short strides I was standing in front of her as she sat in the chair. The guards that had come with the child. I looked up to them, making sure they didn't react to me, as the only way to train in battle was through having experience pain. It was a huge motivator. She would soon experience it. Kneeling down to be eye level with her, I smiled as I spoke. "Now, can you tell me, what do you think you will learn most out of these lessons?"

Melissa was dressed nearly the same as Pyrrha, sans braces and knee high boots, though her boots did come up to about mid-shins. She was in awe thought at the display of Pyrrha's force powers though, not knowing that with the right training that she could do the same thing. What surprised Melissa was just how short the woman was, twenty four and five nine didn't seem like much to Melissa, who was five nine and thirteen, though like her father told her, 'size doesn't matter, your mother was a little woman, five five and she still could kick my ass is CQC.' Melissa like hearing stories about her mother now that she knew the truth of her birth and who her real parents were and exactly what they did. "My name is Melissa, you can just call me Melissa, of course I hope I can call you Pyrrha." Melissa informed her, giving off the usual Corek family grin that had been made synonmous by her father. "I hope to learn how to fight and defend myself. Though my dad told her to do that I had to first learn how to endure pain."

A smart girl, but naive. Sure she needed to learn about pain, but more so, how to deal with it in a way that would power her. I nodded my head to her answer. And the grin almost wanted me to smack it off simply because of her stance in life, or just because she got it from her father. Heredity. By the gods do I loathe it, yet love it.

Standing up, I looked her over. My size, probably close to my strength in heart. Soon to have the strength of myself physically. "Very well Melissa, we shall learn of pain, but what kind of pain you may ask?" I smiled a little too brightly for the occasion.

Walking over towards the table, "Stand." a single command given to her in a new authoritative tone. Reaching on the table, I pulled on the short sword, and by tossing it to her, "Let me see what you think you know." following my words, I drew my beskad. A hefty short sword, built for the use of bashing foes with weight, while also having a slightly sharp edge to cut should it be necessary.

"Begin when you are ready."

Melissa looked to her when she told her to begin, looking at the weapons on the table, she grabbed the short sword, dagger and stuck the blaster pistol in the waistband of her shorts. Testing the weight of the sword and the dagger, she found them to be pretty bearable and turned the dagger into a reverse grip and kept the sword in a standard grip, not giving any indication, she struck forward, aiming the sword at her juglar, but kept the dagger low so when she blocked Mel could thrust upward with, slipping it between the ribs.

I smiled as the girl stood up. Grabbing all the weapons there, and placing them on her body, she thought that by having the three weapons would help her. Her attack towards me was seen easily. She was only beginning and because of that, her attacks were predictable. However, over time, she would learn to become a wild card in battle.

I flicked my hand out and the beskad followed to almost smack the sword away, and with my left hand, coming down in the shape of a cup. the pommel of the dagger, and the top of Melissa's hand smacked into mine. I gripped her hand hard, and twisted. Inflicting pain, or possibly cause her to loose the dagger as my beskad came for her sword arm. If she thought she was good enough to use two weapons at the same time, then I would use two attacks Make it tooth for tooth, nail for nail with the lass.

However, if she did not, or couldn't defend herself, I already had used the force in the form of a barrier around her to stop my beskad attacks. And as a new trainee, I suspected I might have to use a few shields for the day. I didn't want to cut off a limb, or break bones to the point of pure pain. I just wanted her to get her feet wet. Not drop her in.

Even though Noah had barely trained her in combat, one of the main things he had taught her was to never drop a weapon in combat, that was for two reasons. One, so that you didn't lose it and could still use it later on and two, so the enemy couldn't pick it up and use it against you. When Pyrrha twisted her arm and pain lanced up it, she held steadfast, making sure to keep her hand on the dagger no matter what. Seeing the the blade coming towards her arm, Melissa brought her blade up and locked blades with her teacher, now they were in a sort of stalemate, but a idea came to Melissa. Her father always told her when she was stuck to use her head, so Melissa reared her head back and brought it down into Pyrrha's in a headbutt.
