OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: A Sith alchemized spellblade for the resident sorcerer's apprentice.
  • Image Source: Sword of Omens (Dagger Form) by Blast Replicas (photoshop by me)
  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Primary Source: Shikkar | Sith Artifact | Blue Stone
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Dagger
  • Size: Average
  • Weight: Average
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Stonepower. This blade augments the power of a Force Sensitive or grants low level Force Sensitivity to a Non-Force Sensitive.
Strengths:
  • A Force User Is You. A Non-Force Sensitive who holds this dagger will experience Force Sensitivity, to include the ability to use Force Powers (roughly padawan/initiate level).
  • I Have The Power. The combination of Blue Stone and Force Crystal allows the blade to both channel the Force and augment the Force Power of the wielder. This makes it ideal for use in Sith magic and alchemy.
Weaknesses:
  • Training Required to maximize you. The sudden influx of sensation resulting from exposure to Force Sensitivity may cause side-effects, such as dizziness or trouble sleeping due to visions of Kyrel Renhttp://starwarsrp.net/user/13114-kyrel-ren/ on Mustafar.
  • Addictive. Just as Force Sensitivity can be disorienting for a Non-Force Sensitive to first experience, the loss of that input when not in possession of the dagger can seem debilitating for some users of stonepower.
  • Force Connection Required. Force augmentation and Stonepower attributes only work in places where a connection to the Force is possible. Otherwise, it's just a crystal dagger with a glorified lapis lazuli in it.
  • Decorative Use Only. Designed around the traditional Shikkar of the Sith, the blade is more fragile than it appears, even for a crystal dagger.
DESCRIPTION
The problem with being a Sith sorcerer's apprentice is that one must acquire knowledge and experience in order to grow their power, yet to even practice Sith magic requires that one be able to channel large amounts of Force energy. This puts Sith acolytes at a decided disadvantage for learning their craft. To compensate for this lack of power, Sith artifacts are used to augment the wielder's power and guide them in channeling the Force.

The Sword of Omens was a Sith artifact created by the young Cathar Sith known as Micah tol Powl. Designed around the traditional Shikkar of the Sith Assassins, the Sword was actually a crystal dagger. While the name may be misleading, Micah found 'sword' to be a much more intimidating sounding name for it. The crystal was cut from a shard of Force Crystal, allowing the weapon to channel Force energies. Inlaid was a round cut of Blue Stone, which is what gave the weapon its power. Augmenting the Force potential of the wielder with Stonepower, the dagger could increase the power of a Force Sensitive or grant Force Sensitivity to a Non-Force Sensitive for the period in which they retained custody of the dagger.

The Last Son
[member="Micah"],

Hey there. I really like this addition to the Factory using a dagger in this way. However, I recommend adding a weakness that states people who are not used to having the force, could potentially have backlash due to the sudden flux of power/become overly sensitive due to the artifact. While I know that this can be trained, or if someone holds onto it long enough they can get used to having the force potential, it shows that the person who is untrained might have some problems with it at first.
