SPECIAL FEATURES

Imbued with the Force, allowing it to resist Lightsaber attacks. Nearly indistructable.

Projects an incredibly intense healing aura due to the magical enchantments on its blade, capable or repairing nearly anything wrong with a body, from poison, to mental damage, to severely damaged organs and broken bones, so much so being cut or stabbed by it does not hurt.

Velmorite crystals fused to the blade let out a painful chime that affects only Dark Adepts when struck.

Repels Force Spirits and is capable of injuring them.

Its touch can violently burn Dark Adepts and disrupts their access to the Force.

Drastically slows the rate of an uncontrolled fall.

Strengths:

Force Blade: Like all weapons properly imbued and enchanted with the Force, it is nearly indestructible.

I'm The Wolverine: Due to the hidden inscriptions of The Kolda-Bratha Calculus, The healing effects of the sword are not so much based on the light so much as a pernicious form of eldritch Time Magic, not healing the wounds around it so much as subtly rewinding time around the injuries so that technically, they can be said never to have occured to begin with. Though it takes at least an hour to heal nearly all injuries short of mortal ones, it will inevitably 'undo' the individual time lines of each wound and malady over the body. This effect extends in a ten meter radius beyond the sword itself and is constantly functioning.

Back off: The combination of Jedi Alkahest and the time affecting Formula that is the Calculus is a double whammy for Dark Spirits, not only capable of warding them off but doing serious injury that is genuinely difficult to recover from.

What sweet music it makes: The Velmorite crystals imbue a sonic damage quality that affects only living dark adepts and dark spirits when it is struck.

Keep on truckin': The Calculus Formula is so eldritch and foreign in nature that it is immune to the effects of an area void of the Force. Its wound unmaking, poison unmaking effect will function so long as the sword itself is intact.

Face it all, together...: Another effect of the Formula applied to the blade is that should one enter an uncontrolled fall while holding the blade, the time magic slows the speed of one's descent, no matter how high, to a managable, survivable, even gentle velocity.

Weaknesses:

Weight: This thing is seriously hefty. Don't wield it without exceptional strength.

Cannot kill: The "healing" effect is simply that strong. Cut a dude's head off? The magic will undo the fatal injury by healing the neck as swiftly as the blade passes through it. Stab someone through the heart? The magic will "pause" the area around the heart, leaving the body unaffected, unmaking the wound to the heart as it is pulled out. It cannot kill, period.

Force voids: Entering a force null area disables all enchantments save the time magic, rendering it destructable.

Not covered in your health plan: For all its power it cannot heal diseases.

Length: This is an Odachi, meaning not only is it heavy and alchemized, its also almost longer than is practical for battle.

DESCRIPTION

An ancient sword that once belonged to one of Nine Lives's masters, a Wookiee, the Sword of Mercy is an Odachi length Katana that has been enhanced into an Force Imbued blade strongly aligned to the light, so much so that it is capable of harming dark spirits and beings, the very sound it makes when struck with a lightsaber causing pain. These traits alone would make it desirable to possess, but what distinguishes this sword from others is a fragment of an arcane, magical, time affecting formula known as the Kolda-Bratha Calculus. The fragment secretly inscribed on the blade, shown only in ultraviolet light, is hardly justified as an example of its power--the whole formula is said to be so large you would have to inscribe it on the surface of an entire gas giant sized sphere to get it all down--but it serves as a small example of the Formula's power all the same.

The fragment's effect on the blade is often mistaken for a type of Force Healing. But the fragment on the blade is part of the section that deals with the Formula's effect on living tissue.

The sword does not "heal" so much as rewind the personal timeline of the wound's existance until it is removed and "retconned" out of it. Its an important distinction but in practical matters the difference matters little...Wound and poison related problems soon cease but it curiously cannot heal diseases. Further calling to attention to how eldritch the formula is, this effect continues even after entering a Force Null Area, which disables every other force related thing about the blade, though the sword is capable of being destroyed should that happen. As a final oddity, the time magic also seems to drastically slow the descent of an uncontrolled fall to safe, survivable levels no matter from how high up. It is unclear exactly who modified the sword, or even how they obtained this fragment. The Kolda-Bratha Calculus is infamously dangerous and getting your hands on even a small part is said to be nearly impossible, as it is only receivable through divine revelation, followed by subsequent temporary insanity. Whatever the case, the sword is a powerful tool in the right hands.

Does this idea of time magic have a basis in Star Wars somewhere?

[member="Nine Lives"], I was a little hesitant looking at just that page, but the source of that item itself confirms that the orb could travel through time.

At a casual glance, this submission looks like it may run afoul of the "All submissions need to conform to the general idea of Star Wars" rule. If doesn't look like something normally found in Star Wars to the average person, it's likely to be contentious. However, the Star Wars universe is so diverse that I doubt that any one person could know all of the esoteric pieces of Star Wars lore. As a recommendation then, I would probably include items like that in the primary source field in the future. It may save you some people asking questions or even a denial.
