Nius loved the feel of the hot desert sun on his face. Finally being away, at least mostly, from the confederacy relieved so much stress. All of these new feelings were weird. Especially forgiveness. Forgiving [member="Scherezade deWinter"] was hard, but rewarding. They had become great friends, due to their bloodlust and different forms of insanity. At the moment, they had just landed on Ryloth, and were already searching for their target. He had proved elusive to all common mercenaries so far, and hunting him may very well bring him some funding that he would hand over too his father to help fund the CIS, regardless if they needed the funds or not. Nius really wanted to help, regardless if it wasn't the biggest contribution or not, which was definitely new. He never had wanted to contribute to anything larger than himself before.

Scherezade and himself had decided to pursue a mercenary that had earned himself a bounty of a million credits. He had told her before, "He must be good at his job." The story on this guy was that he had killed some important government official and avoided governments and bounty hunters altogether. He had also heard that this guy was a Jedi. Nius still despised the Jedi, regardless of his new feelings of forgiveness. What they had done to him could never be forgiven.

The Mercenary they were hunting was called [member="Rell Kapae"], and soon, he would be captured.

It was rare for Cedric to step away from his desk, but sometimes situations called for his personal attention.

The gaggle of spies sent to hound after Nius' movements had little trouble keeping track of the man. He seemed to go out of his way to leave the biggest mark possible wherever he absconded off to at any given time. The man was a wrecking ball; a menace to everything Cedric and his people were working to preserve.

He could have sent assassins, but that lacked the honor his titles required of him. He doubted they would do much good against the Sith Lord anyway. So it was that Cedric had set out to Ryloth with nothing but his starfighter and his droid. for company.

"We're hunting a Sith Lord R3," Cedric mumbled as their vessel drifted down toward Ryloth's upper atmosphere. "He'll be trouble for the Republic, but I can't just send people at him to die. I have to deal with him alone, we can't spare any other Jedi, and a force of any kind would be noticed." He explained for the eighth time that trip. He needed to justify his choice to come alone - the handful of Jedi within the Republic were needed elsewhere, and other soldiers would just slow him down.

Yes, better to go alone.

"Take us down on our approach R3. I need to meditate before we land."

"Will do. Shall I wait here or stay in orbit, sir?" R3 whistled for the 8th time, its head swiveling back and forth over the immediate landscape. It was desolate for the most part, but outcroppings and small clearings stopped the fairly large vessel from landing.

A Mandalorian. She was friends with a Mandalorian. The mere thought of it was enough to send her mind shrieking, but she'd so far managed to tone it down. Her friendship with [member="Darth Nius"] was one that demanded thought. Apparently, she had attempted to murder his father, and he had been there that night. She had no memory of it, or of anyone else that was present when she stabbed Isley, but it would be impossible to get her to regret what she'd done. As usual in these situations, her main regrets were that she could not complete the job before she was moved from him, Force Lightning hitting her directly between the shoulder blades, ruining her Jart tatoo. There were consequences to that, consequences that was she was not yet ready to face.

Nius said something, and it took Scherezade a few moments to realize what it was. She didn't have a direct comment to that; if the price of his head was a million credits, he had to be good at his job. "Always assume your opponent is good at what they do," she finally said, her fingers caressing the hilt of the Czerka knife she always carried with her. The same knife she had used to stab Nius' father. "Overkill is better than dying." Those words were mostly spoken to herself though. In her two months of being outside of the pebble and being an adult, she had failed time and time again in achieving any goals that were not training. Which was sort of why she wondered why Nius asked her to come on this mission.

"Do you have a plan as to how we're going to get him?" she asked then, "if he's a Jedi, maybe there are weaknesses we can exploit. Aren't they mostly the bleeding heart type of doshes?"

A well worn but still in tip top shape Tachyon class light freighter would exit hyper space of the Twi'lek home world, now free from slavery with help from the new Confederacy of Independent Systems, Depite her not so lavish childhood, a street child force to steal and take what ever jobs where on hand to make it through the next day it was nice to be back, hopefully the standard of living had been raised and the huge amount of squalor was taken out.

"Well well well... need more of those around this place, any who where here, safe and sound", not problem getting through the CIS border, becoming a legitimate mercenary of sorts kind of helped with that. With their destination in reach she left the piloting to [member="Petal"], "take us down Miss flutter shy, I have to go tell Mr [member="Rell Kapae"] that we have finished the trip". Giving a small wave the oragne Twi'lek made her way to the crew area of the ship, knocking the on bunk door, "Yo Rell, we here in orbit, you jumping off at this point or hanging with us a bit more"?
