Public Sweet Home, Corellia

As much as he didn’t like big overarching governments, the Republic wasn’t as bad as the Empire or their knock offs. It wasn’t the Alliance, but honestly? That was probably a good thing. Jared Starchaser was a Levantine, and an Outer Rim loyalist, but it didn’t prevent him from having his home, and that home being Corellia. The Starchaser had to make trips home every so often. His father wasn’t. His sisters were out doing whatever, and well, that left him as acting patriarch of the Starchaser line and heir apparent of the stronghold of Tyrena.

But today was a much more interesting day.

A quick stop, refueling his YT-2400, picking up his Manta airspeeder and heading into Coronet. It was always interesting to be home. Dressed like a well-enough-to-do of Corellia, the green skinned hybrid made his way down the main streets in the airspeeder, before pulling in and landing the vessel outside one of the larger pubs.

Always a good place to see what the temperature of the world was, especially with the Republic around. And hopefully to secure some work.

Jonyna didn't pop by Corellia all that much. Instead, she stuck to Wild Space. But after Kessel, she needed a drink. Normally, that would mean a trip to Ryloth. But she'd been craving something different.

The pub was a nice change of pace.

"Shot of gin, bartender."

Coming home, especially to this world, one never knew who they were going to run into. Old friends from missions past? People looking for work. Others looking for a problem solver. What he knew was the biggest allure of his world was the starships and the pilots.

He was not too shabby behind the stick either, and finally started to work on his two-ship solution, one, a family’s YT-2400, and an older Jedi Starfighter to match. Durability, and speed. Two things he always preferred to have.

Looking around, he took the denizens in, and nodded. Mostly normal, yeah?

Until he saw the Cathar. He knew the face from somewhere, but he just wasn’t able to put the name to anything. He found himself up next at the bar, pointing at the taps and holding up a finger.

As the bartender nodded, and turned, Jared leaned over. “Don’t see many of your kind around here.”

Of course, even as a Starchaser, people didn't see much of him, unless something was amiss.

Sol had visited Corellia often in her time. In fact it’s where she had her first bit of cybernetic surgery conducted. As was the case most often recently, Sol found herself here in search of information. Corellia, housing legendary shipping yards, was one of the planets where nearly all the comings and goings of the a galaxy could be heard about.

Once more she found herself in a bar listening to the chit chat of the galaxy. This time she was observing more than listening, however, taking particular note of a Cathar. It wasn’t long after she arrived that another individual, a human male, approached the Cathar and began conversing. She was on the opposite side of the establishment, tucked away inside a booth to avoid any direct attention.

The synthetic sat up calmly and smirked. She wasn’t one for subtly, after all.

Casually she walked over and took one of the other empty seats, placing the unknown male in the middle, before halfway raising a hand for a drink. The bartender quickly placed a glass of Corellian ale in front of her before returning to his other duties.

Now all Sol had to do was listen. She wasn’t concerned if they noticed or caught her, after all that would result in some fun, but she still kept herself rested in a way that hopefully wouldn’t draw too much attention to her ease-dropping.

Jonyna sipped a bit of her drink, as the man approached her.

"It's a shame, I know. Us Cathar are party animals."

She couldn't help but crack a joke. It was her way of saying hi.

"What about you, stranger? Making friends or just looking to get drunk?" She paused, looking at the woman across from Jared. "And you? Acting like I can't see you. Shy or just nosey?"

As long as he didn’t have to entertain someone, he was more than happy to strike up conversations. He was the typical Corellian, but that just meant he was more brash and had more balls than brains. Waving the flag on the Outer Rim of the galaxy and doing what he felt was good, regardless of laws or decency was the type of Corellian the whole Starchaser line was.

Smirking at the response from the Cathar, Jared took a sip of his own drink. “Oh is that so?” He knew of the race only in passing, not having spent much time with them. Granted that was true for most of the species in the galaxy lately for him. Going out, helping how he could, and moving to the next stop. What his father should have been doing all those years ago, instead of crusading.

Now even the Vanguard was reaching out to Jared to come join their ranks. He’d come, if it suited him. And right now, smuggling was what suited him. “Me? Just returning home, some refuel and catching up on the latest gossip from the Core… What brings you in this far?”

Not that he knew she was more of the Farworlds type, but he made an assumption. Turning over his shoulder, he nodded to the cyborg. “Come on over.” He offered, even if he had fought a fair few from the Sith…

Corellia. Coronet. As much of a chithole it was, Tan'yill couldn't deny it to be her home. She and her brother grew up here. She met her first love. Mitch. A guy that she wouldn't think twice stabbing if they ever met again. Fething jerk. She failed school pretty miserably and got drawn into a world where you killed eachother for a couple of thousand credits. She tried to make a living being a mechanic, but that didn't last for long after she were introduced into the smuggler work.

Now, though? Things were... quite different, so to say. She had married the best woman and partner one could wish for, Aloy Vizsla Aloy Vizsla . She had a daughter going missing, the little vixen of Tae'l Vizsla Tae'l Vizsla . In a lost moment, she had also gone astray with the Zabrak crime boss Zenva Vrotoa. She hated herself for going behind Aloy's back, but what could she do when everything and everyone she really loved suddenly disappeared? In some ways, things were easier back then. When she did her smuggling runs, fought in the cages, when she she didn't have someone to care of or actually live for. Aloy would slaughter her if she knew what happened while she were gone. Tae'l, and her own daughter... Mirium. Well, she didn't dare to think of what Tae'l's reaction would be, if she ever came back to the family.

''Can I get a refill... please?'' Tan told the bartender and slided the empty whiskey glass towards him. She was already somewhat under the influence, but not as much as she would be denied a refill of the finest and most expensive whiskey the shack had. Being a mandalorian warrior of House Vizsla meant she could afford it. As she could with the spice in the pocket of her leather trench coat. The bartender brought the bottle and poured up another drink for the rutian twi'lek. In reality, she wanted to get herself all wasted and she might take a line or two in the restrooms later. This was just a so much welcome time of not giving a feth about anything.

Sol let her sinister trademark smile form upon her face, her eyes studying the Cathar for a brief moment. “Oh I’m not shy,” she said with a playful chuckle, “But it’s not my turn yet.

She wasn’t quite ready to commit to a conversation. Yet. The man seemed more open, openly inviting her into the conversation rather than questioning her. Despite this, Sol believed it was just too early. Information was her purpose for being here and the more she could listen, and the less she could talk, the better her odds of success were.

She turned and continued to drink before another caught her eye: sitting on her left several stools down was a blue-skinned twi’lek. The species was known for its diversity; diversity in this case meaning they weren’t tied down to any one political ideology. Historically their people fought for both sides of each conflict: Republic, Empire, light side, dark side, even some still found themselves under the guidance of the Mandalorians.

Sol didn’t want to assume anything, but went ahead anyways and moved two stools down to be beside her. “What’s a beautiful creature like you doing here,” Sol said flirtatiously as she took another drink from her glass.

Despite being closer to her, she kept her head turned just enough that her other ear remained somewhat facing the other pair. Sol adjusted the sound detection of her right ear so it would be dialed into the pair she had just left.

The joys of being a synthetic, she thought.

Tan'yill was about to take another sip of the strong, amber-colored liquor before she was suddenly disturbed in the middle of it. Like one of those times Tae'l Vizsla Tae'l Vizsla was only a baby and demanding everything of her and Aloy.

Sol didn’t want to assume anything, but went ahead anyways and moved two stools down to be beside her. “What’s a beautiful creature like you doing here,” Sol said flirtatiously as she took another drink from her glass.

Her intense green-yellowish eyes glanced over to the owner of the complimenting words suddenly aimed at her. Blunt words, that she definitely didn't expect to encounter on a place like this. Certainly not from another woman. Men usually let her be when they noticed that she didn't wear a slave collar.

''I... do have a wife, you know. Not really looking to spoil the marriage any further than I have already done...'' she uttered and threw a forced smile towards the woman. ''To answer your question... how about... trying to forget who I am...?'' she added and with a wry smile took a sip of the whiskey. ''In reality...'' she continued while savouring the high-octane spirit and motioned at the glass ''I'd fething empty that shelf, hit someone in the face... like... really fething hard... and then let the cops carry me into a cell... You're not a volunteer, are you...?'' Tan'yill explained and smirked somewhat more sincere at the woman. She were tall, but slender. Tan guessed that the probability of her being a cyborg was high. Those could be fun, she would give her that.

''I don't see a drink in your hand, though? Let me buy you one, darling. For calling little old me beautiful. That's cute, but thanks. You don't look half as bad yourself. I like your hair.'' Tan'yill mentioned and hailed the barman another time to let the woman choose her poison.

"Visiting to look for new friends, actually. Just got in from Kessel. Nasty business there, but the imps aren't exactly kind to folks like me. You heard what's happening out there?"

Her own business had been murky these days. She was dipping her toes in a lot of places, and she knew better than to stay in one place for too long. One thing was for sure though, she wasn't in with the Farworlds anymore. She knew better than to go back there now, after her falling out with them over military action against encroaching imperial influences.

That wasn’t a destination he figured anyone would want to go to willingly. Even he, who once upon a time was a spice runner, didn’t want to ever go back. Looking at her, Jared tipped his head. “Kessel is always a messy business, after the planeshift someone is still able to get there?” He figured with his ship and skills, he could but…

“And what can Corellia do for you?”

"Took us a while, but I've got friends all over the outer rim that had been mapping the planeshift. Slowly, but surely. I'm more worried about the imps lately. Mahporeem is a threat just as much as the sith are."

She stewed over that, as he asked her another question. A smile formed at it.

"Oh, ya know. A drink, some comradery. A good time."

He could very well understand just how hard it was to get into Kessel. Even prior to the plane shift it was not somewhere for the faint of heart, or big of balls. Jared understood that, and he’d gone a few times, the hot rodded YT-2400 was good for that. There was always the part of him that wanted to upgrade, but it was a core Corellian design. And it got him so many places.

Maybe another starfighter would scratch that itch.

His family had a weird relationship with Imperialism. His father served an ancient warlord before the First Order ever popped up, back when the Fringe Federation was young. “I heard about the new Imperial team growing, will be interesting to see what we can steal from them.”

Ships, weapons, and whatever.

He was a Warden of the Sky and seeker of odd jobs.

“Corellia is nothing if it isn’t a good time.” He laughed and nodded. “What you flying?”

The easiest entry to a conversation on this world.
