PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Imperial Commonwealth of Dosuun
  • Affiliation: Imperial Commonwealth of Dosuun
  • Market Status: Closed-Market
  • Model: CDT-QESS-M1 “Survivability & Evasion Suite”
  • Modularity: Yes
  • Production: Limited
  • Material: Durasteel housings, shielded emitter arrays, hardened signal processors, subspace transceiver nodes, reinforced power-conditioning assemblies, insulated cabling, heat-sink baffles
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • ECM-Lite Package (Targeted): Localized electronic countermeasures focused on degrading enemy targeting quality and missile guidance rather than wide-area jamming.
  • Guidance Spoofing & Decoy Logic: Generates false vectors and intermittent phantom returns to complicate pursuit solutions and break clean locks.
  • Counter-Targeting Suppression: Prioritizes interference against fire-control channels and terminal guidance links when incoming ordnance is detected.
  • Emergency Microjump & Withdrawal Control: Short-range, high-reliability disengagement system designed to break contact and preserve mission data.
  • Data Preservation Protocols: Automated “snapshot” routines to secure sensor logs, contact tracks, and analysis products during evasive maneuvers or emergency withdrawal.
STRENGTHS
  • High Survival Value Without Escalation: Improves survivability through deception and disengagement rather than heavier armor or increased firepower.
  • Ordnance & Lock Degradation: ECM-lite and spoofing reduce the effectiveness of missile swarms and precision fire-control solutions.
  • Reliable Disengagement Option: Microjump capability enables rapid withdrawal once the ship has completed reconnaissance, cueing, or scientific collection.
WEAKNESSES
  • Not Fleet-Scale Jamming: ECM-lite is intentionally localized; it will not blanket an entire battlespace or fully blind determined opponents.
  • Microjump Constraints: Short-range jumps require viable exit vectors and sufficient power margin; repeated use can strain systems and heat budgets.
  • Susceptible to Adaptive Countermeasures: Skilled adversaries may adjust guidance logic, shift to passive modes, or saturate with volume fire to reduce spoofing effectiveness.
  • Doctrine Dependent: The suite is most effective when paired with mobility and disciplined withdrawal; stationary or overconfident use invites defeat in detail.
DESCRIPTION
The Survivability & Evasion Suite (SES) is a Commonwealth defensive doctrine package built for a simple truth: a scout that cannot leave is not a scout—it is a casualty. Combining a targeted ECM-Lite system with Emergency Microjump & Withdrawal Control, SES is designed to keep specialist “eyes and ears” hulls alive long enough to do their job and extract with the information they collected. Rather than brute-force jamming that disrupts friendly coordination, ECM-Lite focuses on localized degradation—spoofing pursuit vectors, breaking clean fire-control solutions, and confusing missile terminal guidance just enough to buy time and distance. When integrated properly with the ship’s sensors and defensive systems, SES can turn an otherwise lethal lock into a miss, or force an attacker to waste precious seconds re-acquiring.

The suite’s second half is its decisive feature: a short-range, high-reliability microjump control architecture intended for rapid disengagement. Once the ship has achieved mission objectives—contact identification, fleet cueing, anomaly collection—SES enables the vessel to withdraw before the enemy can concentrate fire. This capability is powerful, but not unlimited; repeated microjumps impose thermal and power strain, and ECM-Lite cannot guarantee safety against overwhelming saturation or adaptive opponents. SES therefore rewards disciplined commanders: those who remain mobile, avoid over-commitment, and treat withdrawal as a planned phase of the mission. In skilled hands, it preserves the scout and its data—ensuring that the Conyers III can “light up the board,” then vanish before the board lights up her.
