Surrounded by Twi'leks (Silas Raan)

Wicked Witch of Schwartzweld
So, Ryloth. It was an odd place. Really really odd place. So far, Curupira couldn't, for the life of her, find a decent bar. She also didn't see the point of building cities within mountains, even though she'd seen it be done on Dathomir. But she was always more of a Coruscant and Nar Shaddaa gal anyway so it was quite understandable why she didn't like it. However, now that she was a... vicereine? Was that the title? Not that she had any actual power but it was a fun title. And Curupira loved fun titles. Though she hated others labeling her. She was complicated. It was a thing. Most people got used to it eventually.

Of all the places, Curupira Hawk could end up, she somehow ended up on the spaceport. Which, like the rest of the places here even more Twi'leks. She had never been around so many Twi'leks before, in her life. Though, so far, she gathered if she was ever gonna get some sightseeing done in the place, it'll take a while. Which just was not fun in the least bit. Curupira liked discovering things in a city on foot or on her new speeder. At least that way she'd randomly discover new places with cool names. Any other form of transport would just take up way too much of her time and she'd get bored with what she was doing way too quickly.

He slid the identification claiming his name was "Lexian Par'ad" to the customs officer in the middle of the large Immigration and Customs office. It was a routine that Silas was familiar with. In his life, he had used more aliases than he could possible recount. The procedure and normality of it was so routine to him that not even his Hapan paranoia could shake him. After the officer waved him along, Silas moved out to see the planet of Ryloth. To him, it was an amazing sight, but he was learning that to most people, other planets weren't as impressive. He had spent his entire life within the Hapes Cluster, so the new sights he had been seeing the past few weeks were surprising him at every turn. Even if Silas wasn't one for surprises, he had to admit that this one was pleasant.

Travelling down the Coreillian Run, it had taken him very little time to arrive on the planet, despite using public transport. He saw a number of local law enforcement walking the streets, which was something that flare up his Hapan paranoia. It was in Confederacy space and far from the reaches of Hapes, but he hadn't survived doing all the dangerous things he had done by being reckless. Growing up in Hapes, he had become so disgusted by the corruption that had always had deep roots in the Hapes Consortium. When he became an adult, he found a group that would fight against the poor excuse of a government. Freedom fighters, though they were labelled as domestic terrorists. During this time, he found quite a number of skills that he now found quite desired by his fellow members of the CIS.

That is why he found himself on Ryloth. He had been going out of his way to meet people throughout the Confederacy and create valuable contacts. Though, the job had been rather easy once a few members found out what Silas was capable of and started to tell others. There were still members that he had heard mentioned enough that he decided to go find and meet them. However, that would be rather difficult if he was detained by the Ryloth police or at least if they attempted to, which would make Silas have to use those gained skills he had and flee. So, he ducked into a small spaceport that he was passing to keep his head down for a bit. He wasn't sure why, since there was a market next door that he would have been able to blend into, even with his Hapan features, much better. He told himself that it was because he could grab a speeder and move across the city faster, but in truth he felt himself being pulled into the place by an unseen force. Not that he believed in such things.

One of the male Twi'leks approached her then and started talking to her in his own language. Curupira just stood there looking at him for a few moments before she rolled her eyes. "I don't understand a word you just said, go bother someone who else." Yeah. Sure, maybe she could pick it up. She was always a quick study when it came to languages but Ruu didn't see any use of the language. Everyone spoke Basic so he could do.

The alien walked away from her, clearly aggravated by her lack of understanding or from understanding exactly what she had said and didn't appropriate her saying it. Whatever. This planet needed serious re-doing. Language, cities, bars, clubs. Dude, there was so much Ryloth could use. Curupira just couldn't figure out how they hadn't figured that out already. Was the planet created yesterday?

"I miss Coruscant." That was the simple truth.

As Silas walked into the spaceport, he saw a small vendor next to the entrance. It was mostly filled with things to attract tourist, which Silas was but those types of things seemed trivial to him. Plus, he had quickly learned that it seemed like every tourist attraction on every civilized planet sold the exact same things. However, he did need a few things. Since he had been on the ship for some time with little food, he picked up a nutrition bar and slid it into his suit's pocket after paying. He also picked up a pack of Universal Exports tobacco that he put inside his jacket and a drink that he bought. The alien running the kiosk was overpricing him, Silas knew that. He was an obvious Hapan foreigner that was wearing a black suit made of coreillian silk. Silas was not in the mood to haggle with the Zabrak though, so he paid the man and moved on.

He walked up to the main desk of the space port to purchase transportation. He had seen a number of repulsorcrafts of different sizes and models throughout the area. He had past a very old Rian-327 that didn't seem like it would be very reliable if he needed it to be. He saw a LuxurPort Zisparanza luxury craft that outclassed many of the vehicles in the space port, but Silas' thought it would draw too much attention to itself. So, he found a very well kept F-57 Necleon speeder. It was old, but it had been taken care of, looking like many of the original parts had been replaced. Once he paid the Twi'lek behind the counter, he was handed the ignition sequence and papers for it and he began to walk towards it.

When, suddenly, like something like luck had struck Silas. His contact, the fellow member of the CIS, was in the same space port. It was a little too convenient for Silas to believe, but he skirted his disbelief to the back of his mind because there she was standing there just like the image he had seen of her. And in personal, he saw that the image did not do her justice, which was saying quite a bit. Enticed even further than he had already been about the prospect of a new contact, he began to approach her as he saw her talking to some Twi'lek male. As Silas approached behind her, he saw the alien turn to walk away, seeming defeated and frustrated. He suddenly heard her say out loud how she missed the Queen of the Core, Coruscant.

"I am sure she misses you too." He said to her as he walked up behind her. "I know I would."

She missed her too? Curupira blinked and looked behind her, golden eyes noticing the very tall man with lighter hair to her side. She? He knew he would? She blinked again. "I'm pretty sure Coruscant would be a he if it had a gender." Definitely would be a he, not a she. That would just be silly.

The female turned completely to face the man. "Hi. Who are you?" It was weird to see a humanoid here, with all the aliens running about. And speaking their language. So this was good.

Silas took careful note of the woman. The way she held herself, the words she said, the pauses between each word. His past had made sure that he was always focused and in the moment, looking at every single detail. Finally, she spoke, discarding his flirtatious introduction. That made things not as easy for Silas. His Hapan upbringing always gave him an advantage with manipulation. He could craft entire arguements into a single sentence and use it like a dagger against his opponents or use it to disarm them completely.

"Yet, they call it the Queen of the Core." Silas said, still playful in his voice. Maybe he could still use simple means of flirting and wordplay to get this beautiful redhead onto his side.

"Silas Rann." He continued with his introduction more plainly. "I am a new member of the Confederacy, coming here, in fact, to meet you."

Queen of the Core. Curupira chuckled a little. Must have been one of those things she was never told because she wouldn't accept them. And she wasn't going to. "Well, I never listen to them anyway," the redhead said and let her lips form into a half-smirk. She really never did.

His name was Silas Raan and he was part of the Confederacy. And he was here to meet her. Curupira raised her eyebrow. "Wow. Seriously? Me? Why?" It just sounded weird. Yeah, sure, she was in the Confederacy and she was a Templar but people didn't usually seek her out. Then again, she usually didn't let herself stick around anywhere long enough to be found.

She was feisty, that was certain to Silas. Silas had wooed many feisty woman. This one seemed uninterested in the Hapan though. That was not a loss. Though if he could have simply made the connection with her with simple flirting, it would have made things easy. He, however, was coming with honest intentions and looking to grow his own network in the CIS. So, things should be straight forward. He had skills taht he wanted to make sure people in CIS knew, so they would know who to call on.

"Simple. As I said, I am new to the CIS and just wanted to meet some of the more...important people in the organization." He said, smiling at her. "I just want to make sure you all know I am available if you needed me."

He wanted to meet some of the more important people in the organization. Curupira titled her head ever so slightly to the side, listening to the man as he explained it, even adding that he wanted to make sure they all knew he was avaliable if needed.

Well, okay, apperently she was one of the more important person in the organization. The redhead nodded before asking: "Available for what? What can you do?"

Silas looked around, seeing the police he had seen outside of the space port start to enter, so he thought it might be best for him to become scarce. However, his whole reason for coming to the planet was to meet with Curupira. He decided, he should do both.

"Well, what I do isn't anything I should take about out here in the open." He said, looking around at all the people inside of the small space port. "I have rented this F-57 Necleon speeder, so perhaps I can take you for a drink and we can talk?"

She noticed him looking around before he revealed not being able to share the information while here. Curupira looked around herself and the gold gaze almost missed the security officers entering the spaceport as Silas told of the speeder he got. He wanted to take her for a drink where they could talk.

Her head turned back to look at him then. The redhead noted he had said one thing that wasn't right in the least bit. For Ryloth. "You shouldn't have rented a speeder." She first pointed to one corner of the spaceport and then to the other end. "Turbolifts take you to up to the city." Curupira had actually discovered a few things about Kala'uun since she arrived. "One of the upper level's got a nifty bar. Mostly for tourists but not so bad. Or if you're hungry, there's some good restaurants in the lower levels." Holy Force. Did she just sound like a hostess? That was the weirest thing ever. Ket would get a kick out of that one.

"Well, I am sure I can find some use for it." Silas said, keeping his smile at Curupira. He might not have needed the speeder, but he felt alright with the purchase. He might need some quick ground transportation later. Plus, it wasn't like he was actually spending his own credits. He had a rather hefty line of credit from his former comrades in arms, sort of as a consolation for being exiled from his home. However, placing himself into the CIS would help him be able to give aid to those secretly fighting on Hapes.

"Well, I could use a strong drink. So, would you care to join me? We can get to know each other." Silas said, outstretching his hand to let the lady go first.

If you say so, she thought and just shrugged. Curupira didn't see the point in it. She had no use of going to other cities on the planet just yet so she just preferred to park her pretty new ship here, not get her speeder and just stick around. But she wasn't argue personal logic. Her own was too messed up anyway so it wasn't really that much surprise.

He was up for a strong drink. Did she want to join him so they could get to know each other? She was going to answer him right away but then he offered his hand. Curupira looked at it for a long second before she said, still looking at it: "Yeah, sure" and walked ahead on her own, letting him follow her. Silas wouldn't probably understand but Curupira wasn't big on physical contact with people she didn't know. It was a personal space and parental decision from her non-parent but still kinda felt like he was. So yeah, she didn't take the man's hand.

Instead, she led Silas to the nearest hall, reaching the guard post and giving the Twi'lek man a nod. 'Vicereine,' the man spoke Basic though one could easily tell it wasn't his first language from his pronunciation. He opened the doors for her and gave a momentary look over at male in her company before going about his business.

Walking to the bar, there was little talk between them. He made a comment or two about the places they passed, Curupira replying to them rather straight forward and plainly. He had already decided that approaching the task without flirting or excess communication seemed to be his best route with her. This is why he hated going into areas without any information or recon. He had no idea what Curupira was like or really anything about her. He was in new territory in the CIS and he was unfamiliar with all the inner-workings like he knew so well on Hapes. He only hoped he hadn't made a fool of himself or discredited himself to her. He decided he would ask a few questions, but mostly get straight down to business. As they entered the bar, before Silas had even had a chance to look around the location, he asked,

"Excuse my ignorance, but how exactly does one become a Viceroy?" Silas asked, hoping she was not the type of person to take offense to the question. He had no interest in becoming a Viceroy, but since he was going to be working with so many of them, he thought he should learn.

One quick turbolift ride and they were at the right place. The bar wasn't all that much as far as attracting attention but it still had plenty of life in it. Curupira looked through the place, looking for a seat when Silas asked her a question, making her stop what she was doing.

How did one become a Viceroy? She thought about it for a second. She really had no idea how someone become a Viceroy. She didn't actually asked. "Umm... I don't actually know. I don't get how this stuff works actually. I just sort of like hearing Vicereine when I come here."
