Superman? Superhuman, Maybe

Kei strolled over lightly, hands in his pockets. He didn't pretend to know what was going on, he knew he was testing armor and that was about it, how he was testing it was beyond him. He wasn't no super soldier, he doubted he was going to be able to wear the armor anyway. He was weak, he didn't mind admitting it. Heavy things defeated him because he didn't have the strength available to handle heavy things.

"Flight Systems?"

"Yes we have developed repulsors and anti-grav tech for many of the things. it will be able to fly and use the power systems instead of fuel so that the ones inside are able to handle more equipment. Shoulder mounted guns that will allow those who are moving around. The material will be super lightweight and protective compared to many of the things that are around and we have developed a number of weapons or equipment for handling the different situations. We have developed a number of tech also like a multi-spectral shielding unit and enhanced biots that will make the protection far better." Matsu was looking over many of the things they had developed when she touched the armor biomass.

"Technology has moved on. What happened to a simple ship with some thrusters?"

Kei grinned as he spoke, wondering why anyone would ever need to fly in armor. It would of gotten him out of a lot of his past situations, true. Probably would of allowed him to avoid his massive crash on Dromund Kaas. Dromund Kaas had been the sight of a lot of a lot of Kei's adventures to be fair, a lot of people had shot at him on Droumund Kaas, and lightning had also blasted him from the sky. Those were the days.

Eight months ago, everything was so easy. He could crash his ships daily and no-one cared, now he had someone to care about. Noriko, over the few months they'd traveled together he'd been starting to care more and more about her. She was a great pilot and a great friend, she knew how to make him laugh. He sigh lightly, knowing everything he was thinking was just make believe. Noriko was a Jedi, Kei was nothing more than a lowly smuggler.

"So. How'd you want me to test this?"

Matsu looked at him with a nod and a grin. Yes technology was a very important part of it all and they wanted to work on some of the things. Armor that could fly was an important thing to use in the longer run when you were pushing it all forward. Matsu herself wanted to develop some of it when they were going to make and test new things like this. Before she could move over with a few more things though she was giving Kei a small look bringing up the biomass of the armor for him. "Just get in and comfortable, it is designed to become form fitted to you and then it will allow you to work with it while becoming a carpace of armor plating. Lightweight and designed with a miture of organic and technological upgrades to adapt."

He shrugged lightly. It seemed simple enough, and he smiled slowly while his eyes glazed over the armor. He was against stepping into things normally, but he climbed in slowly, nodding. He wasn't sure what he was meant to do, but he was uncomfortable, a few minor things that needed to be worked out. It needed some sort of fur or padding on the inside because it was cold and uncomfortable to be in. It wasn't fun.

"Alright. While you do that, what have I got to do nice?"

Matsu looked at him as the armor was adjusting, the biomass was fleshy on the inside the ideal padding for you and warm since it was a living organism in its own right as the carapace ejected along it making the armor and sealing the armor with a nod of her head. "You are going to move around, it has built in microthruster and servos for running and jumping. THink og it like a mobile powerarmor that is going to let you dodge and weave around a battle field but still have the strength and speed of a being ten times your size." That was the work they had going, the armor was made to be powerful, fast and compact on the body adjusting to be everything.

He smiled lightly under the armor, eyes on Matsu the whole time. Portable power armor sounded amazing, it sounded powerful. He was almost upset he wasn't looking for power armor, or he would pick up a development version of this. He was still debating it, dropping it in the cargo hold of the Hawk until he needed it. He took a slight step forward, almost amazed by how easy it was. He took a slight jump, laughing.

"I can get used to this. Can I keep playing while you work on my stuff?"

That would be fine, the armor was made to be power armor for strength, speed sure but it was also using a super lightweight material that was more protective then most knew. The jedi master remaining where she was and she spoke. "That is fine, I can work on your thing while you test that out and get a better idea of how best to use the armor. it will give me feedback on what is able to be done with it and not using an enhanced being like our simulations have been recommending." Matsu sat back down with a bow of her head before shee started the synthweaving process again to develop for him.

You want to time skip till the next point in armor making?

Kei grinned slowly, laughing. He got to go and abuse some power while Matsu worked. He did feel bad, and if he knew how to help her he would. He just wasn't an armor smith, wasn't something he was good at. He would learn someday, but he had no clue where to even begin. Why do you think he turned to Matsu? A recommendation from Noriko but also because she was known as one of the best. Kei needed the best, the best got results.

"I'm a go play. Have fun"

he time went on and Matsu had spent the time synthweaving for Kei as she finsihed up the first parts of it. The work that was going into this was proving to be a highly effective form of synthweaving. One of the best she had crafted and they would be able to easily present a strong piece for the captain of the ship but there was still more that needed to go into it. "Alright then I shall be working over here." She stuck with it providing some fo the work for the other engineers to work on when she was testing it along with some of the others. Developing the weaves that went into it before stopping to let him play around in and test out the armor that was being displayed for the screens.

Kei was happy to admit he was having fun. He was throwing himself around in power armor and getting to see his own armor develop before his eyes. He was also getting to play around in his own armor, which was really fun, even just the base was fun. The Cortosis gauntlets and the Phrik chestplate would work amazingly. The gauntlets would short out the lightsabers owned by anyone, and the Phrik would keep him alive.

If he ever moved on, if he ever settled down and allowed people to teach him in the way of the Jedi. He needed to settle down for that to happen though, he was a smuggler, he enjoyed working and smuggling. He loved being busy. Someday he would settle down, he would settle down and just move on to be a Jedi, keeping the peace while still probably smuggling for a hobby but.

"Nice, I'm down with what we have so far. What's next?"

Matsu was finishing and setting it up much like she knew with the old imperial knight armor. A design that was tried and tested with the cortosis gauntlets though the more pure cortosis to deactivate lightsabers also made them more brittle compared to some that might use cortosis weave. Less deactivation but longer lasting and the phrik armor itself would allow it to be a decently lightweight where it was needed but you needed to be careful and keep the armor defined. She was basing it more off of the medium variant of the sasori armor which would allow for a fair amount of upgrades to be on it that others usually overlook in terms of defense and utility. "It is looking very nice."

Kei grinned, looking at the armor slowly. He knew that Noriko had suggested one of the best, Matsu's reputation didn't lie. The armor was coming along well, once painted it would look amazing. He was aware it would be a chore, he would need to be careful. The gauntlets were brittle, he'd been informed that they were. However, they would serve as amazing weapons, ways to deactivate a lightsaber to take prisoners.

"Well done there, guess your reputation is valid after all"

"Was there really any doubt in that?" She asked the question with a small look on her face while she was going over some of it. Attention to the smaller details so that they would be able to handle it all. It wasn't going to be as much of a strain on the body as the bioarmor was and she motioned with her hand for it to open up and go into a hibernation state while waiting. "It won't have as many features as the armor you have been testing but there is a lot we can attach to it. The mini micro thrusters for increasing your ability to move around an area for instance is an important thing, the phrik plating and weave designed into the duraplat and hybrid plexisteel plates with cortosis forearm bracers all make it look very impressive."

Kei nodded again, smiling. He wasn't looking for fancy thrusters to get speed or anything, he didn't even really mind the look. He wanted the traditional black Jedi look, but he didn't care after that. If he wanted anything added he'd come back, but as of right now he didn't care. He wasn't looking for special things, he'd agreed that before he started. He smiled, fingers tracing his fingers across the armor lightly.

"Then we're done. I'm not looking for fancy things, not yet"

"Well now fancy would be a point of view in many cases, we have been developing some of the bigger things here for armors such as the modular writ system with very focused and compacted tubes that would allow rapid switching and modularity of weapon. New shoulder cannons and designs that can go into the different things while still being lightweight and able to work with the armor, micro repulsor thrusters for moving around a battle field quickly as opposed to slow movement because you are weighed down by things." she stuck with it and was finishing up the armor with a small look on her face that they had been doing good in these situations now where there was the magno clasps and the pouches for equipment.

Kei was still grinning. She was an amazing sales woman, but he still wasn't interested. He wasn't one for fancy technology, he liked having things simple. Alright, the thrusters did sound good, he couldn't deny. They sounded really good, speed was always a good thing. Speed was always a good thing indeed, and he thought for a few moments before finally deciding what he wanted to do. He hated choices, some were hard.

"Strap some of the micro thrusters on it then. And that's it, then we're done" he laughed.

Matsu was looking at him as she was finishing up here and with the work they had been doing when she was finishing up. Adding the thrusters and the pieces of equipment before they pushed a lot of the things on it. Matsu finished up showing the armor on a display as she was finishing up and gave a nod of her head in approval to what was being done. "THis is all looking very nice, with the phrik and cortosis from you and the armor from myself you will easily be able to moved around the field. Some tings were removed though the built in jet pack as it was heavier and the optical camo coating of the armor since it works better on heavier and slower moving armors."

Description: Designed based off of the medium bodyarmor from Sasori with some small changes. The crystal coating for optical camo, the jet pack and the normal plating have been replaced or upgraded. Using the materials provided by Kei including phrik to weave into the normal plating minus the crystal coating and for the arms imperial knight fashioned cortosis bracers to disable lightsabers that can react to cortosis. The reduced weight of the armor from the phrik and the lack of the jet packs allows for the wearer to move around quickly. The addiition of the micro thrusters to work as a way to move and jump higher or dodge quickly allow Kei to move around and avoid getting struck. Though his armor is designed to take hits and protect him it just is a matter of giving him what he wanted.
