HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Aramis was born in the Hapes Cluster to Nadia Librenti and Ambrosia Fal'shivvy, two noblewomen from considerable lineages. The couple produced seven children together through medically-assisted means, tailoring their DNA and planning out their futures well in advance. While his siblings were destined to be warriors and leaders, Aramis was conceived for the sole purpose of marrying the future Ducha of Arabanth. Their union would fuse the formidable bloodlines of his parents with that of House Vaelor, in hopes of producing a scion with all the best traits of both families.
The boy was raised in a mix of his parents' cultures, taught the martial ways of the Echani and the courtly intrigue of the Hapans. Though he was found to be Force Sensitive, the decision was made not to train him to use his power, presumably because it might give him more agency than was desirable. He was a defiant child, which earned him no favor in the eyes of his mothers; they expected obedience from their sons. His sister Olanna was his closest friend, but she was sent away to train under the Sibsi when Aramis was ten years old. From there he became quieter and kept to himself. Nadia and Ambrosia, mistaking his social withdrawal for conformity, were pleased with the change in him.
As soon as Aramis came of age, he was wedded to Entora Vaelor. Though they had been betrothed since birth, they did not meet until their wedding day. Entora proved cold and distant; after the birth of their child, a daughter named Lalu, Aramis was set aside while she pursued other lovers. The arrangement suited them both for a time, until Entora sought to have more children. For the first time since he was a boy, Aramis refused to cater to the whims of a woman. He was punished severely for his disobedience, but it set him on the path of rebellion.
Though he never officially joined the Crimson Veil, Aramis was drawn in by the ideals of freedom and equality they espoused. He attended clandestine meetings and befriended members of shadowy political groups. The more his political views developed under their influence, the more he became convinced that the Hapan monarchy needed to be overthrown. Ultimately, it was his perceived allegiance to the terrorists which assassinated Prince Astor Daaray and Lady Shaya Khal which caused him to be condemned by the Consortium.
Facing execution during the purge, Aramis sought the help of his political associates, hoping to flee the Cluster with Lalu. But he encountered an unexpected problem. Because she was the heir of a Ducha, his little daughter was considered the enemy by the anti-monarchy, anti-nobility Crimsons. With nowhere else to turn, he donned the disguise of an ordinary refugee and boarded a transport bound for Dxun, where the Mandalorians had promised them shelter and safety.
Upon their arrival on the jungle moon, however, father and daughter were separated. While Lalu was taken to Camp Resh, where refugees deemed innocent of any involvement with the terrorists were sent, Aramis was shipped to Camp Thesh, where anyone suspected of involvement with the Crimson Veil was condemned. Conditions at the camp were horrific. Dwindling supplies and lack of medical care led to widespread starvation and disease. Deprived of all contact with the outside world, the very existence of the camp was denied by Commander Rita Wren, who was a Consortium sympathizer. While she paraded through the pristine walkways Camp Resh, handing out ice cream to Hapan "orphans", her soldiers were under orders to shoot anyone who tried to escape Camp Thesh.
The horrors of the death camp brought out the best in Aramis, who became a leader to the community. But it wasn't until the arrival of a mysterious stranger that hope was rekindled. Jaina Grayson, an HRD working under the banner of the Foundation, successfully tracked down Camp Thesh. After learning the truth about the camp from Aramis, she agreed to help. In a matter of hours, the incredibly dangerous biotic droid had taken down the Commander and was waging an all-out war against her forces. They succeeded in driving the Mandos off and the Foundation evacuated the camp. Aramis and Lalu were reunited. An unexpected romance blossomed between Jaina and Aramis, culminating when she brought him and Lalu to her home on Necropolis. Faced with feelings he had never had before, Aramis revealed his past to Jaina and confessed his fears that Entora would try to get Lalu back.
