CORUSCANT
Shopping with Reina Daival Reina Daival

It'd been a couple of weeks!

Klar loved Coruscant to her core. It was where she'd spent the best years of her childhood, where most of her good memories were. It made sense to her - the dizzying arrays of lifts and stairs, the thousands of layers of the city, the bridges. SO many bridges, across a seemingly infinite amount of skylanes brimming with countless speeders and shuttles. Their passage was the wind, the blood flowing through the heart of the endless city. Klar made her way to Coruscant every chance she got, usually by swapping duties and favors with other Padawans until she could drum up a task to take her there. Once you understood how the system worked, it wasn't too horribly hard to game it.

It'd been a little more tricky this time, if only because she'd needed to find a reason to bring Reina along as well. Thankfully, all they'd had to do was deliver a package to a senator's aide - and Klar suspected that the package had been more of a pretense than anything else for a stuffy bureaucrat to get a photo op shaking hands with a couple of photogenic Padawans. Klar hadn't lingered long, dragging Reina off towards the closest commerce district at high speed.

It was a bight, sunny day on Coruscant. That hadn't stopped it from raining that morning, which had left small puddles here and there and a freshness to the air that was probably entirely imperceptible to anyone who hadn't learned to filter out the constant background done of passing speeders. "Okay! Our objectives for today!" Klar chirped, leading Reina by the hand as she counted off on her fingers.

OBJECTIVE 1: WHEN HEARTS ALIGN [PVP] {DIFFICULTY: MEDIUM}
Have a fun date!

"We have a fun date. More important than anything else." Klar insisted formally, furrowing her brow. "That means no speeders this time." The Codru-Ji promised earnestly, punctuating this with an apologetic smile. "Whatever we're doing, whatever happens, if we're not having fun today? We do something else. Promise?" She requested gently. "I won't try and convince you I'm having more fun than I am, if you promise to let me know when I'm dragging you into something you're not as thrilled about."

Klar paused in her listing to duck around a corner, leading them over a wide bridge. Hundreds of people crossed, all of them navigating hurriedly towards somewhere else. The traffic never stopped, never ceased, and the lights never went out.

OBJECTIVE 2: THE FLASH OF THUNDER [PVE] [DIFFICULTY: HARD}
Visit the Holodive Arcade

"Oh, I'd love to take you by the Holodive arcade if you're interested." Klar added cheerfully, bouncing through a crosswalk. "There's this little plaza right by it, with a cute cafe. I don't know if hologames or sims are really your thing - but I've wasted so much time in 'em." She confessed. "Hologames were one of my favorite ways to get used to having thumbs when I came out of my cocoon!" The blonde explained, her lower arms pantomining working a control stick and buttons at an arcade machine. "There's loads we can do without it getting competitive, too! Dancing games, skeeball - There's some fishing games, too!"

OBJECTIVE 3: TO TURN WITHIN, WITHOUT [PVSelf] {DIFFICULTY: EXTREME}
Come out to Reina

Klar cleared her throat, glancing at the passing cars. "Oh. uh. Remind me to ask you about something on the ride home." Klar added. "I think our shuttle leaves at midnight? So there's about seven hours. We could probably take in a show, if you want..."

"Objectives? You're making this sound like it's some kind of mission. It's not. We're just...handing something over. We're glorified delivery people...I guess I should use to it. Since 'Lexis apparently does it as a job..."

Reina let out a small chuckle at that. Now, Coruscant wasn't exactly her favourite planet, but the fact that it had been raining had caused Reina to have at least somewhat of a pep to her step. A small little smile playing on her face as Klar dragged her through the streets. Reina was far more...smiley than she had been in the past with Klar. To the point that the redhead didn't care about the dozens upon hundreds of people they were all moving past.

"I promise Klar, I'll tell you if I'm not having fun. Don't worry. I'm nearly always having fun with you nowadays. Just...don't expect me to do any speeder stuff, or go and hug some stranger. Don't expect me to enjoy the dryness of Coruscant either. You saw me on a good day when we were out at the river. I'm just...not a fan of solid ground."

As they walked together, Reina squeezed Klar's hand, the redhead's eyes scanning through the streets as they moved. There was a small part of Reina that was still paranoid. That she felt like she had to be on edge. This wasn't the safety of the Temple anymore. Even if Coruscant wasn't exactly the worst planet to be wandering around, there was that irrational fear in the back of her mind. She did her best to keep her hand away from her Lightsaber. It wouldn't make for a good look to the people around themselves if they saw a Jedi reaching for a weapon.

"Klar. You aren't going to catch me dancing. I literally only have one leg. The prosthesis doesn't count. I don't mind trying out the skeeball though. I've always been good at throwing stuff. You shoulda saw me when I used my harpoon. Just chucking it at things and then pulling it back. I miss it sometimes."

It wasn't like Reina couldn't do that anymore. But she was going against threats that required a lot more than just a good throwing armour. Threats that even a Lightsaber couldn't match up to, but Reina was trying not to focus on that. It would ruin their...Date. Because that's what this was. A date. This time she knew it was one. It wasn't like her fishing trip with Klar that ended up becoming a date without him realising. Reina knew it this time.

"I'll...do my best to try and remember. I have a habit of forgetting things when I hang out with you. But yeah. I don't mind seeing a show with you as well. That's...what you do on a date right? Sorry. I'm just...not used to this. I know we aren't like...exclusive or official or any of those fancy terms...but I want to make sure this is fun."

As she spoke, Reina flicked her index finger between the pair as she spoke about exclusivity and officialness. They were just...out here having fun. As a pair of...more than friends? Friends? Reina didn't know.

"I will literally turn this planet upside down to find you something you can huck a harpoon at." Klar promised earnestly, giving the redhead a slightly dour look. Klar wanted to push back on Reina's insistence that she couldn't dance, the same way she wanted to push back on just about everyone's excuse that they couldn't dance, but... she'd pick her battles. Weather the bad moments, and strike when the time was right. Klar was on a one-man mission to build up her friends one brick at a time, especially Reina and Xuko - both who had tragically low opinions of themselves.

Criminally low. Klar would make it illegal if she could.

That said, she had to temper herself. This might not be just a confidence issue, there was a legitimate chance that Reina wasn't used to her prosthetic yet. Between that and her slightly crooked amble that suggested Reina's poor balance wasn't entirely the fault of her leg, there was a good chance that Reina actually wasn't good at dancing. Besides, if she'd really wanted to go dancing? Klar would have come alone. Today was about her and Reina.

"All that matters is that we have a good time." Klar promised. "If that means taking in a play or looking for live music, lovely. If that means getting drunk in a bar and rolling back to Tython absolutely pished? Also fine." The blonde woman promised, grinning ear-to-ear.

She considered for a moment, pulling at her Jedi robes. "Oh. How about some street clothes?" Klar offered warmly. "One outfit, my treat? I'll be doing the same." She snickered. "I usually pack a bag, but I must've left it in my dorm or something." She explained sheepishly. "We'll stick out walking around in Jedi robes."
