Sun Crystals and Slugs

Finally Nemene moved again. The Slug was moving past her, that much she would have been able to tell even without the Force. Being weary of the Sun Crystals she now knew were here The Sith Lady reached up with her free hand. Tiny almost unnoticeable sparks of lightning jumped from her finger tips, and instead of sending large spikes of energy flowing from her finger tips, she simply reached out and touched the slug.

It roared in pain and anguish, squirming around and striking Nemene with its tail.

She flew backwards several feet, crashing into @[member="Evelynn"] and hitting the girl with a solid thud. Her blade went flying, stabbing into a wall somewhere twenty feet away from her. The Massive cave slug however kept thrashing about, angrier and angrier.

The man inside would not receive a pleasant ride at all.

Once inside, It was immensely warm. I had the shield still active so if there were any stomach acids it wouldn't eat me or digest me. in its esophagus it tried to compact me and push me down into the stomach. During that small portion, it moved alot. jerking around for some reason being from the outside. I wasn't jostled too badly, but just enough to know that something was happening on the outside.

And even as it was still shaking I fell, well to be correct I slid into the stomach where a green liquid had remnants of the last meal it ate.

I about puked.

I was suddenly jerked around once more even more forcefully, and as I smacked into the edge, I felt my hairs on end as though electricity was being used. Probably from the woman that yelled at me to shut off my fires. my sword would be of no help here. I would likely stab myself. Reaching into my boot, I pulled out a Derriphans Eye. The rather large and ornate dagger was then plunged into the hide of the beast's stomach. THe stomach acid warped around my hand as I cut at the bottom, attempting to let the acid leak out and eat at the insides of the beast. It would not harm the skin on the outside as it was very tough and thick. and there was plenty of enough to go around.

It roared and lashed out swinging in every which direction trying to fight, when the only thing it did was cause the tear in it's stomach to open more and more.

He edged closer towards the source of amplified light. He crawled along the floor, slowly and quietly in the darkness to avoid detection and to avoid alerting the others to his whereabouts. Each of the three were more powerful in the Force than he, he knew that, and all were more capable with combat than he. Get what you came for, stay out of the way, and go. He thought. It was good advice, considering the circumstances. And now he had a good reason to; they were busy fighting the slug in the cavern (he hadn't seen @[member="Morna Imura"] jump down the throat of the beast and assumed he was trying to pry scales from it).

He could see a cluster of three large crystals and a number of smaller ones that had formed at the base of the wall, in a nook. If he could get one, or better yet two, they could be sold at high prices. He could use them to blind his foes, or even try to use them in a lightsaber - should he ever get around to constructing one. His heart raced and his mouth dried. He was so close. Then...

The sound of dense, strong metal cutting through stone; a grind with a screech, stung his ears as the sword of @[member="Nemene Talith"] slid into the wall near him. Less than a metre away. Instinctively he turned around, completely, so that his rear had been placed on the floor and his chest lay exposed, despite being armoured. He caught Nemene's glance but refused to hold it. She was pre-occupied anyway. Too close, you're wasting too much time. He knew that there was little time left until she would come to reclaim her weapon, even though the worm writhed and compulsed from a tough of electricity.
He grabbed one of the larger crystals, which grew in the centre of the cluster, and tugged at it. He twisted it and pushed it all way he could thing to try and snap it from its root. But it was strong.

I won't lie, Evelynn was quite disheartened at the complete opposite of progress that was occurring in that moment. Frustration bubbled, and between the unwelcome guest inside of the beast, the woman trying to shock it and the man trying to steal the crystals that it resided over, well, it spilled over into territories of berserk.

Inwardly she cursed, the girl wanted to prove that she wasn't weak. To feel valid, and useful. Of enraging the slug was hardly the best way to go around proving this fact. Make them yours before you make them mad.

To make matters worse any concentration she once had was completely shattered by that rude bloody woman crashing into her. They fell together in a chaotic pile on the floor. A moment without thought caused Evelynn to send a swift backhand to the back of ill-mannered strumpet as the tikulini thrashed and roared.

The beast is in pain.

A musing to herself, followed by another thought: where was that other boy? You never know the intentions of strangers, after all and so far he had been the only one not aiding with the giant slug problem. I'd call that suspicious you know.

Anger flared through her, no, it was rage. She felt the strike on the back of her head and her immediate instinct was to turn to the woman. Her eyes were wide open, in both shock and overwhelming anger. She was about to strike the girl when the roaring slug struck its tail over their head. The Queen of Byss rolled to the side away from a falling stalactite, kicking the woman who had hit her in the side and shoving her away from the falling rock.

The woman would need to be beaten later, and Nemene would not have her die...yet.

As soon as she was clear of the falling rock Nemene jumped to her feet, energy beginning to crackle between her fingertips. She no longer cared about the Sun Crystals, she no longer cared about the slugs flesh or its lightsaber resistance, she no longer cared about anything. Cold rage boiled through her, anger the like of which she had never felt.

She would kill this beast, and then make that wretched little commoner pay for laying hands on her.

With a viper like strike forward movement of her hands Nemene released a powerful Torrent of Sith Lightning. Black and Red sparks of Lightning filled the cavern, they covered everything, the rocks, the walls, but mostly the Tikulini. The slug was resistant to lightsaber strike, but enough Lightning and it too would fry...along with anything inside it.

Over the roaring I tore at the stomach of the beast, now with a hole large enough to get through, I felt my way with my hands as the muscular system was in front of me, and with ease I tore through the 'meat' of the beast, thick and slowing down as its life was going to end soon, I returned my dagger to its sheath, and drew my Sith sword, I knew that it would easily pierce the skin, and not knowing how thick it was at the stomach, I needed all the length I could get when cutting at the beast. as I placed my feet along the flesh I used my left hand to ease my blade to the innermost layer of skin, and as I was about to shove the blade through, I felt my hair go on end, and then my entire body was being shocked.

Even with my sith sword in my hand, it still fething hurt. The blade absorbed all that it could of the lighting. but with my body directly touching the beast, I was still prone to lighting. I could hardly focus and screaming on the top of my lungs, I plunged the blade through all the way down to the crest hilt of the blade. It didn't release the blast strike that would normally come with it, as it was already touching an object, the skin of the worm. Using the pain as a way to power myself, I was not going to die because of a stupid Sith that wanted to play hero on the worm.

I took a second to recall my breath and then yelled once more using the force and the pain to push through the skin and cut a hole out of the side of the beast.

By the sun and the moon!

This bloody woman couldn't leave well enough alone, could she? I mean, she was about to blatantly ignore the raging slug to focus her frustrations upon Evelynn! What an utter twonk. Although the silent girl stared back with a touch of fire and brimstone in her own eyes. Wait. I'm forgetting something. Oh, yes. Right. Slug.

Crud.

Thankfully the rudest lady this side of Coruscant delivered a harsh kick, saving Evelynn from a spot of cranial bother but at the same time sent her flying. This just so happened to send her crashing into suspicious the crime dog, also known as @[member="Voroll Dey Astaar"].

The girl opened her mouth to launch a tirade of abuse.

Nothing came out. Naturally.

Then came the hottest light show in the galaxy. This time there was no chance to shield her eyes, the cavern flashed white, sensory overload. Oh gosh! No! No! She would not be a blind mute. No. She scrabbled around, slightly manic, hoping that her eyesight would be very swiftly returning. Like now. Right this moment.

Internally, she screamed.

(I got permission from @[member="Evelynn"] to GM her a bit)
The slug as it were slowly began to fizzle and die. As though Nemene's Force Lightning had been nothing but salt the Tikulini began to wither and slowly face away. Its skin began to tighten, its eyes began to bulge, and its teeth seemed to fall out of their sockets. It was a disturbing sight really, not aided by the man slitting his way out of the side of the beast.

Nemene kept up the lightning for only as long as she needed to, the bright black and red sparks fading into the creatures skin and crackling for a few seconds even after she ceased her incessant attack. The Sun Crystal in the room seemed to shrink and die as well, the light fading from it as Nemene's attack slowly came to a halt. Slowly darkness returned to the cave, the only noise that could be heard was the Sith Ladies heavy labored breathing, and the guttural noises of the dying Tikulini.

Slowly, as if it were a laborious thing Nemene opened her eyes. The orange orbs seemed to be alight within the darkness, and ever so softly they shifted towards the girl laying on the ground.

The filthy commoner that had dared touch her, even strike her.

Nemene's face twisted into something sour, anger flaring through her eyes and across her face. In almost an instant all of her emotions were forgotten, the tiredness in her bones, the ache of her bruises and wounds, all emotion was gone, all but for one, pure unbridled rage.

In almost an instant she was upon the girl. Like a raging animal Nemene dashed to the woman, fluid and quick as a rushing stream. She grabbed the girl from the ground by the scruff of her neck, throwing her with unexpected strength against a nearby wall, She flew at Evelynn, pressing her against the wall with a hard elbow to the throat. She planted one soft kiss on her cheek, whispering soft almost incomprehensible words to her as she withdrew. "No one touches a Queen."

Then with one quick hard strike Nemene backhanded the woman across the face, her hand hitting the womans cheek making a loud crack within the blackness of the cavern.

Then it happened again, and again.

Nemene struck the woman time and time again until her knuckles bled and the back of her hand was stinging with pain.

She stood over the woman, breathless and filled with rage.

Her foot shot forward and crashed into the girls knee, a loud crack resounding in the dark hall as bone crunched into pieces. The silent woman fell to the floor, and her face was immediately met with a hard knee cap.

Only then did Nemene stop, only then when the girl lay on the ground did the Sith stop her assault, a scowl on her face. If she had been less of a Queen, she would have spat on the peasant.

It happened so fast. He continued to pull at the crystal, which he swore he could feel begin to budge from its root in the rock wall, when he fell forward, pushed, even. Under the weight of another being his own body, preoccupied with winning the glowing crystal, collapsed as if his legs were thin twigs supporting a bantha. Luckily they had not been damaged, due to the lack of excessive weight @[member="Evelynn"] possessed.
Then everything went white. Every where he looked, every direction we turned was bright, unabridged, pure white. It was... blinding. Then came the pain. The most innocent and purest of all the colours burnt his eyes, from what seemed like the inside; like someone had thrown acid onto them. He squirmed as he lay on the floor and tore away the goggles from his face, clawing at his skin around his eyes in the process. They had not helped. When the lightning had been cast and leapt forth from @[member="Nemene Talith"]'s hand, the darkened corridor burst into flashes of light - which the goggles had been designed to aid vision in darker spaces, not block out pre-existing light. It felt as if Voroll had stared into a star at close proximity.

He wormed his way across the floor, cursing in a dialect of Esselian, or multiple. His hands covered his eyes as if trying to shield himself from the continued battering from one of the most precious gifts required to sustain most life: light.
It was after this that he knew rage. So much rage. The deepest and most hostile of emotions. But it was not his own. Despite the obvious danger from a person knowing such emotion, and using it, he could not navigate. He continued to writhe amid the torrent of harmonic emotions - only in the sense that one may follow the other - both within his own mind and the minds of those surrounding him.

The lightning lit up all around me, all I wanted to do was to crawl back into the almost dead worm. I pulled back in the flaps of skin and covered my eyes quickly so I wouldn't be blinded. With it's skin so thick, it was dark in here, but I knew that those outside had it worse than I. It was still lit up in here. And once the light hand ended, I let a single flame light my way, and even in here now, it seemed brighter than a flashlight straight in your face.

I crawled out to hear repeated slapps over and over again. and with a solid slam, I had a feeling that the Sith was hading a beating to someone. I shook my head as I walked out and around to see the woman (@Evelynn) on the ground with the sith (@[member="Nemene Talith"]) standing over her with the man writhing in pain from the blast of light. "May as well spit on her too while you are at it. It's not like she has feelings or was maybe trying to help you." I simply shook my head.

"Now if you don't mind, I would like to get some of the skin from this beast, and maybe a Sun crystal."

Naturally being blinded Evelynn missed the vanquishing of the slug, I'm sure it was a brilliant display to behold but well, there were seared retinas standing between the girl and her vision. Silence reigned, only punctuated by the ragged fatigued breathing of those behind her.

A flurry of footsteps approached her, oh gosh, it was that woman, it had to be. Evelynn gasped as she was manhandled and thrown against the wall. She instantly knew it was that woman, had she still possessed her voice the Apprentice would have no doubt begin to spout apologies but no such luck. Through the darkness, as she was kissed on the cheek Evelynn desperately mouthed the words:

Help me! I can't see!

Then violence rained down, her cheekbone was fractured upon the first blow but that didn't stop the assault. Brutality was king here. Given her lack of vocal chords it was a twisted symphony of ragged gasps combined with the harsh echo of slaps. Pain, not the worst she had ever felt but it was pain nonetheless.

No! No! I can't die here!

Then the real debilitating blow came and her knee gave out beneath her. The vicious knee that greeted her face at the very least dazed her enough to take her mind off of her impending doom. With her face bloody and swollen the girl curled up as much as her knee would allow, hoping that this woman's rage would now be pacified as the whiteness still plagued her vision.

Nemene turned about as the man spoke to her, cold rage sat within her and momentarily she halted her assault on the mute woman. A scowl was seen on her face, a true scowl which was rare for the Queen. Slowly the orange orbs that were her eyes shifted to the man in the jacket, then to the other man on the floor, and finally to the girl on the floor.

She could hear wheezing breaths that almost translated into sobs. Her eyes shifted slightly, as if completely assessing the womans state. She could continue, she could beat the woman completely to death and be done with it, or she could truly teach her what the punishment was for her deeds.

“Take it.” Her words were cold, almost uncaring.

She had originally come here for the Tikulini skin, she had wanted to forge something from it, but that no longer mattered to her. The cold rage in the pit of her stomach had settled on her completely, there was no other objective in her mind now. With a quick viper like grasp she reached down and grasped the womans nearly white hair.

The locks became woven between her finger's, nails scratching along the womans head as she tightly took @[member="Evelynn"]'s hair in hand. Then she began to walk.

She wandered through the caves, dragging Evelynn by the hair behind her until they reached the surface of the caves. She cared nothing for the two men she left behind, her mind was completely on the girl within her grasp, she would learn.

The poor girl who Voroll had not even got the name of, nor really even seen her to begin with, had been dragged off out of what once could have been his sight. There was nothing he could do to save her from the explosion of rage that was @[member="Nemene Talith"]. Such anger towards another being had physically shocked the only one of the three who had no intention of slaying the tikulini, so much so that he could hardly wait for her departure, even if it meant the suffering of the mute.

His writhing around on the dirt and clawing his own eyes began to slow and subside, despite no colour returning to his eyes. In the foetal position on the floor – back towards the tunnel @[member="Morna Imura"] stood in near the butchered worm – he lay, convinced that if he made a sound, even a cry for help, the others would see it as more than just weakness, but as an advantageous exploit: another contender for a crystal that could amplify light tenfold and the tremendously-strong hide of a terrible beast, dead. Leaving all the spoils to a single victor.
In the dirt, Voroll hoped that wasn’t the case. But if it was, there would be little to stop it from happening.

I turned around to ignore the woman as she dragged the other off to somewhere else. without her taking the skin or crystals, that meant more for me. With a beast this large, It would take a while to get all of the skin. Even then, I was not a Harsh person. Walking over to @[member="Voroll Dey Astaar"] as he was on the ground covering his eyes. I rested a hand on his shoulder and spoke softly, "Relax, Even though it may hurt, you want to keep your vision, slowly open one eye. Any fast movements and you could damage your eyes. Slowly so you're eyes can adjust."

behind my back was a single flame about the size of that from a lighter. it illuminated the entire cave in a dim light because of the crystals around us. I was kneeling down next to him and well, my kind nature took over my Sith one.

"Can you tell me what your name is, and what you came here for?"

@[member="Voroll Dey Astaar"]

In the dark and with the blinding pain that had now began to feel like it had always been so, other senses were enhanced. Sound was one of them. He heard the approach of the being before feeling his hand rest on Voroll’s shoulder. He stiffened a little, but then relaxed when the perception of the being changed from a slayer to a carer. It was softer than previously thought.
“V-Voroll…” the twenty-year old began, “the crystals.” He thought that it would be obvious what he came for, since four of them had appeared in a cave in the same location at the same time. But maybe there were other reasons to his question that Voroll did not yet know.

Never-the-less, even with his hands covering his eyes, they flickered. Almost insubstantially, but enough to actually know light was being let in. He carried on, waiting between moving them open slightly. Closing them every once in a while to get used to the light instead of letting it flood his eyes. He stopped when it started to hurt again, which was marked by a small noise caught in his throat and a shudder through his body.
