The Sularen Corporation better known as SularenCo is an Imperial-aligned corporation founded and owned by the Warlord of the Empire, Marlon Sularen, having been first established in the Late 850s ABY. Specializing largely in the production of military equipment, SularenCo has played a key role in various major galactic conflicts such as the Second Great Hyperspace War where it was one of the main contributors to the Brotherhood of the Maw's war effort and now, the Core Wars in which it has also risen to become a major contributor to the Dark Empire's war effort especially in the wake of the Corporate embargo against it.
Most recently however, SularenCo has begun to expand it's operations beyond the borders of the Empire and the former territories of the Brotherhood of the Maw, aiming to cement itself as a major corporation within the galaxy, with current plans to branch out into other fields in order to further expand it's influence and reach across the galaxy beyond that of a simple defense contractor for the Dark Empire.
RATIONALE
In the Late 850s and Early 860s ABY, Marlon Sularen then an ambitious Bureaucrat from the Core Worlds had found himself being blacklisted by a dozen of large corporations who refused to do any sort of business with him and even went as far as to collaborate with government entities to dismantle his power base and force him out of the Core Worlds. In response, Sularen established SularenCo as a means to reduce his reliance on the large megacorporations of the galaxy, which he now viewed with great distrust and hostility while also enabling him to establish a major presence in the galactic marketplace and directly compete with these corporations who he viewed as undeserving of their status and influence.
Thanks to it's contributions to the Brotherhood of the Maw during the Second Great Hyperspace War and presently, the Dark Empire during the Core Wars, SularenCo has grown into a rising power within the corporate scene poised to finally establish itself as a major corporation and directly compete with the larger megacorporations that have long dominated the galactic economy. Now having entrenched itself within the Dark Empire, SularenCo prepares to begin it's great transformation, ready to emerge as a major economic force within the galaxy and to challenge the hostile megacorporations that have long undermined it for decades.
