Strengths:
• Well-rounded: It possess the quality of many other Sith Swords.
• Throwable: This blade is designed to be aerodynamic and because of that it can cut through the air and be thrown reasonable distances for a melee attack.
• Small: because of its size as a short sword, this blade comes in handy with close quarters personal fights. It can be moved with ease for precise stabs and slices.
• Portable: The size of this blade makes it ideal for sprinting through the wilderness or traversing through difficult terrain for prolonged periods. It won’t slow Zye down considerably since it is rather small in size compared to the average sword, enabling him to hunt his prey with ease.
• Bleeding: drawing on the dark side of the force, this blade inflicts wounds that are difficult to heal. They bleed more than normal wounds and bleed longer. Because of this many of those wounded by it experience more pain than natural from said wounds. Extra medical care is required to heal those afflicted by it and they often take longer to recover.
Weaknesses:
• Lightside: Bursts of lightside energy can harm or even destroy the sword.
• Heavy: For a sword its size it is heavy.
• Presence: Darkside presence means that unless you somehow hide it, Jedi can detect you.
• Range: as a short sword, this blade must be brought in close. Even for melee weapons it has a limited rage—just larger than a knife but still shorter than your average long sword.
• One Handed: many swords are two handed or “One and a half hands” meaning it can be used with two. The handle of this blade does not permit that; using two hands with this blade is pretty much too awkward to be effective. Since this is one handed, it’s pretty hard to leverage the same amount of force that a two handed blade can. Precision and speed are key for it to be effective.
• Insanity and suffering: the blade itself was crafted in deep agony. Any light sider who carries or touches this blade is instantly beset with this. Their minds are filled with great emotional and physical anguish, often so distracting they cannot use the blade effectively. These effects wear off the instant the blade is dropped.
DESCRIPTION
Every hunter is only as good as the weapons he brings into the fray. For many their choice may be to hunt from a far and slay their quandary with little more than a pull of a trigger. However, for members of House Woden there is little skill in this and therefore no hunting honor.
For ages the members of house Woden have relied on melee weapons to kill their Sithspawn, the murderous monsters they gained their lot destroying. Zye learned early on that he preferred the cunning of the short sword and the whip. At the hand of his close uncle and father, Zye learned to fight, using swift slices and fierce stabs to quickly end his prey. First he learned using the helpless slaves and animals that would become his dinner. Failure to dispatch his foes properly resulted in foodless nights—and worse.
In what most species would consider his adolescence, Zye was prepared to craft his personal blade. A Sithspawn was captured and with its living blood he tempered the blade of his own creation. Into it he poured all his bitterness, malice, and pent up hate. The weapon drew upon his suffering and the agony of the vile creatures who provided the blood to make it the cruel blade it was. When it was done, Zye found himself with a weapon worthy of its purpose.
The blade could inflict its users with increased pain and suffering, and it often made them bleed worse than any normal affliction. With skill and delight, he used his new weapon to cause the same suffering he was trained to on victims darker than he. His malice knew no ends and using its powers of pain to his own purpose, Zye lead his fellow members and slaves to victory for many decades against the horrors unspeakable in the night.
When House Woden was thrown from their estate, Zye took his weapon with him, vowing to return. And when he would, the vampire swore there would be streets full of blood. Not only those of his enemies but those of his favored prey once more.[/SIZE]
