  • Tattoos reaching over her eyes, across the bridge of her nose. Scattered tattoos on her body.

INVENTORY

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

  • Chaotic energy personified - if it can be reverse engineered, Wrench has figured out how to make it work
  • Highly energetic - Bits, bolts, and bobs get her more excited than practically anything else
  • Calculating - Fully understands just how dangerous many of her inventions are, so while she may come off as a chaos demon, making sure things are safe and won’t kill everyone around is at the forefront of her mind.
  • Inner circle - keeps her circle tight, coming across as cold to those she perceives to be outside of it, but will be fiercely protective of those worthy of protecting. That protection usually comes in the form of trinkets and gadgets she thinks will better keep them alive.

STRENGTHS

  • Systems thinking: acute ability to not only break down objects within her mind, but put them back together, allowing her a high level of engineering ability
  • Innovative and inventive: Something can always be made better. More modular, better power output, and Wrench is always striving for those .01% increases. It pushes her extremely focused mindset.
  • Tool for the job: A sling back across her front, and a PCW slung over her back, and Wrench seemingly has every tool needed on her person. And if she doesn’t? That’s what glue and multiple tools put together is for.

WEAKNESSES

  • Social skills lacking: Tools and inanimate objects are her friends. Her “cold” nature towards others comes from her complete inability to relate to others socially.
  • Alone on the range: Too often, those she stuck around have only ended up hurt or hurt by her actions. Keeping away from them seems so much more safe for everyone.
  • Wary of enhancements: Sometimes the best enhancements are the ones you already have. While more than happy to upgrade inanimate objects, it would take a lot more convincing to try and upgrade a sentient.

HISTORY

Born in the slums of Etti, Suerse really only knew one thing. It was that for one to survive, you'd have to learn to fend for yourself, and only yourself. Orphaned at a young age during a corporate raid that wiped out her neighborhood, Suerse found herself raised by a makeshift family of street urchins, learning mechanical skills to survive. She became the unofficial leader of the group, directing them from place to place, stealing what they needed to survive and always staying on the move. It wasn't a comfortable life. It wasn't whatsoever, but it was also one of the last times she could clearly say that she had a place in this galaxy, or even a family to call her own.

By the time she was in her late teens, Suerse had moved away from the urchin gang she had called her family for much of her early life. Infighting about settling down, finding ways to be respectable and take care of others outside their group had driven the Etti to leave. The gang was practically bursting at the seems already, and her stance was to take care of those in their group, not bring in even more that they could barely take care of. She was overridden, and in the dark of those barely lit levels, excommunicated from the group. Alone, without any group to call her own, Suerse found herself getting into deeper and deeper trouble.

It started off simple. Retrofitting illegal tech for underground factions resisting corporate control to make a few credits for her next meal. Fixing the nice vender's on the corner droid in exchange for a blanket to keep her warm at night. But the more she did, the more things she fixed or modified, the more her name began to become known in the lower level's circles. It wasn't long until she was approached by the Bacun von'bi, the Demon Dogs. They were a group of Chiss that had taken refuge on Etti, forming their own gang. The Bacun Von'bi had been hitting CSA for as long as they had been on the planet, seeing them as a threat to what little land they had gained.

Short story short, Suerse was brought in to upgrade and throw nitro on a pair of speeders. She wasn't told what the speeders would be used for, or why she was doing what she was doing. Not that she cared to ask, either. The less she knew, the better.

It would've been better to have asked. By the time her head stopped spinning, she was locked in a CSA corpos office, face bloodied and cut from having been slammed against the table time and time again. Blamed for the attack on one of CSA's depots, where the two speeders she had been used as battering rams, the corpos gave her two options. One, to be strung up for being the "mastermind" behind the attack, since they couldn't go after the entirety of Devil Dogs. Or....she could come work for them.

As poor a life as she had lived, Suerse did enjoy living to a small extent. Signing her life away, she became a zero. She was put in charge of a small robotics team, given the task of upgrading the efficiency of all of CSA's security droids. Suerse watched as the modifications she made turned those droids into killing machines, capable of turning even some of the most harded chooms into mince meat. It made her sick. Sick enough to slowly begin subverting her time in the CSA labs. Stealing a piece of tech here, a spanner there, anything that could one day help her escape the hellhole her life had become.

Wrench never had been good at following along in a crowd.
