OVERVIEW
Fathers can be the worst.
Especially when your dad is a deranged Sith Lord who cloned you as a science experiment. Once you make peace with that, everything is easier, right?
Despite the target on his back, Subject-FC03 is doing his very best to be the man he can be in a galaxy full of murderers, sorcerers, and everything in between. While he can't pick up a lightsaber to duel a Sith Lord, he can certainly fight his own war as a scientist and healer, even if it's just to spite the Sith Lord that would love nothing more than to destroy him like any other failed experiment.
Easy enough.

HISTORY
Babies aren't born on Anoat.
Thousands of slaves toil and die for the sake of a mad Sith Lord who wants nothing more than to see the galaxy suffer the same way he did. Be it the monsters that stalk the darkest corridors, the droids that drag men and women to their doom in Darth Nefaron's laboratory, or the near-poisonous air in the mines, no loving couple would ever choose to willingly have a child.
But the Corpse Lord had no love.
What he did have was a vast laboratory, one in which every sort of horrid experiment you could imagine took place day after day after day, all for his own sick curiosity and his desire to make ever more terrible weapons of war. Subject-FC03 was but the third attempt at one of these experiments, an attempt to master the creation of force-sensitive beings for whatever Nefaron dreamed up in that moment. 03 didn't get to know the precious two versions of himself, only what the Dark Lord told him.
"They were failures."
Not exactly what you want to hear from the man who was essentially your father, but then again, Nefaron never claimed to be anything of the sort. 03 and his "siblings" were clones of the Corpse Lord himself, he managed to find viable tissue for such a thing is beyond the understanding of science but he managed, and boy did he know how to make a kids life horrible. From the incessant need to test every week for a connection to the force to a crash course in nearly every method of torture you can think of, Nefaron proved to be a passionate instructor. Of course his patience did wear thin and on the day of his 15th birthday, the Corpse Lord decided he would test one final time for force sensitivity.
03 thought he was going to die. He knew he would just be recycled into genetic material for yet another experiment.
But lucky for him, Nefaron did in fact have his own bosses to answer to back then, specifically these folks on the Dark Council who didn't much appreciate Nefaron violating the Sith Empire's anti-slavery laws. As part of some deal Nefaron struck to keep his precious little wasteland from being inspected, he was forced to give up his current slave population. While 03 wasn't force sensitive, he was smart enough to slip out of his cell to join the vast precession of people who were leaving the blasted hellscape for parts unknown.
Of course, 03 didn't stick around to enjoy the new Sith's hospitality, he managed to stay tucked away aboard a cargo vessel slipping out of Sith space and into the wider galaxy. For a while he simply wandered, taking fake names and stealing when he needed to eat or some credits for a place to sleep. Say what you will about Darth Nefaron, but he did make sure his clone son was intelligent, even if he really just wanted a monstrous killer who just so happened to be smart.
03 grew up. Built a life. He was a teacher for awhile, until one of Nefaron's henchmen arrived with a band of killers to hunt for the missing clone. To be blunt, 03 ran like a coward while other people died for him, and that's stuck with him for the past 5 years as he moved from planet to planet, ship to ship, nightmare to nightmare. While he can't exactly bring himself to teach ever again, he refuses to let his talents go to waste. Droid need repairs? 03's got it. Not sure how to test a wound? 03's got it. Need help manually plotting a complex string of jump points without a navicomputer?
Okay that one takes a minute, but 03's got it.
He wants to help. He wants to be brave.
He's working on it.
