Strawberry Panic (Camellia Swift)

Ayumi chewed her lower lip as she stood there for a moment and then smiled looking up. "Well maybe later on we'll have to see about fixing that won't we?" She looked up for her before the ship touched down and was a little disappointed, she could try a mind trick to get her to 'accidentally' push up as her chest would go into her face. No that wasn't the way to handle it but the right way was as she let her arm loosen standing a little taller. "Later, after you get me some dinner maybe we'll dance again but for now lets go and see to a reactor. We'll get that hot and running and then... I'll get you." Ayumi winked and moved towards the ramp making it obvisous as she strutted taking more time but was looking forward at the building.

Ok, perhaps there was a little more than she had first thought. Normally Camellia wouldn't assume someone was hinting at hitting on her. Ayumi's more obvious choice of words now left little doubt at what the other woman was thinking. Rendili Stadrive's CEO actually found herself interested though. It wasn't often she found another girl looking to spend some time together. "That sounds fine with me. Now I have to wonder if that turbulence was setup to lead to some scene out of a holoflick."

Chuckling as the ship touched down and she waited for Ayumi to lead the way to the reactor next, Camellia couldn't help wondering just what exactly was going on with everything. Well, regardless she would have fun with it. "I guess there will be plenty hot and running going on tonight. Still, you'll have to point out a good restaurant for our date. Of course first we'll have to make sure this reactor business works out."

Ayumi gave a nod of her head to that as she walked towards the building stopping to touch the keypad as she looked upon it for a moment. Then typed in the code they had given her as it opened and several of the guards stepped out. They weren't aiming weapons at her as she looked into the factory. They were making the ilerium ejection systems for ships and escape pods while she was moving towards the back where they had crates loaded up. They were doing what they needed as she went to the second lift to go down lower. She looked at Cam and the one man was making a card for her. "You'll need this for the lower levels." She was moving and standing in the lift while she waited and when Cam was there she could head down while using the ID's.

Following after Ayumi, Camellia had thought when the guards came out that a security team was required for access within the factory. Not for her safety of course, but to make sure she stayed within her bounds and didn't go anywhere she wasn't supposed to. Which she understood, Rendili Stardrive had security teams stationed to keep people out of certain areas. Although it seemed these guards were for a load of the factory's exports leaving the building.

The ID she was issued was familiar as well. Granting her whatever access that Ayumi had felt she might need or should have. A part of the Rendili woman wondered if there were any special projects on site she wasn't privy to. "Seems like a standard procedure. Although I feel curious now what all work occurs at this facility. Does it have any other special projects besides the reactor? Or would that be telling?" The last she said with a slightly mischevious grin. There were rules so if Ayumi couldn't say she couldn't, legal bindings were a concern after all. If not though then there was no harm in asking.

Ayumi looked at her. "Well there is the life sized body of a certain Rendili CEO in various species from across the galaxy quarter blood shaviatian and cathar are popular. ears, tails, light fangs and claws but other then that. I don't think so." She gave a wink and while there wasn't a real body pillow but why not have a little fun. This was a reactor using one of the strongest substances in the galaxy and as the lift came to the bottom it opened to show several more of the Antarian rangers who were standing around as she came out looking through the windows while the lights flashed on the other side. "It isn't a very large lab but they are good at what they do."

Camellia couldn't help but laugh, that was incredibly weird, but at the same time it was just so ridiculous that she couldn't stop herself from finding it amusing. If such a product did exist it would need her approval. After all, if she were going to be exploited as a symbol of desire she wanted to make sure the representation passed her evaluation. The elevator ride definitely used the joke to pass the moment, everything seemed stiff inside, though with such a powerful and potentially unstable reactor on their hands the Rendili woman understood. Plus the matter of security against espionage or agents looking to steal the technology was important. "I have no doubt. It makes me wonder how Rendili handled things when they developed the Proton-8 Reactor so long ago."

Ayumi continued as she had a grin on her face and entered another room sliding the ID card. She entered the one room was and the isotope in large canisters. The scientists moving it as they loaded the canisters into the reactor. They had been making it for the reactor since Sai Fel and the mandalorian security team secured the facility and now were getting ready to test this source of power. "This is it, they were building it earlier but didn't have enough isotope to fill it. Hopefully now there is enough to make thi reactor work well."

Following Ayumi into the room,the Rendili woman found herself wondering if she had good timing or bad. It was likely planned for her to arrive when they finally began the final touches on the reactor, but Camellia felt like she would have rathered they left her out of the grand awakening. After all, if the isotopes were unstable then it would be a very brief test. All the same she did understand it was meant to be an extension of good will to let her witness the fruits of their labor. "How much more is there left to do? And how will you know it worked properly if it stays stable?"

Ayumi looked at her as she got a datapad with the reports. "From what is coming and being read out.... The isotope is stable.. More so then we thought it would be. We are making it into rods for the canisters but from the looks of it we are simply hoping this will power the disconnected factory above." Not all of it was disconnected but there was an area taken off the power grid for experiments and what they could do while she started to wipe at the smudges on the datapad. "Based on what information we have been able to get weapon applications could create stronger shields and shots so we have high hopes for this."

[member="Ayumi Pallopides"]

Well that was certainly a little anti-climatic, and rather simple as well. Where was all the techno babble about the ratios and how it stood up to current examples of technology? Well then again earlier such a hypothesis had been explained to a minor degree. Still, Camellia wasn't entirely satisfied. She would withhold all judgments until the isotope powered reactor was equipped onto a warship. There was still the presence of danger in the event that the isotope couldn't handle the pressure of a cruiser class or greater warship. Whether or not it was stable then was what mattered. All the same the progress was impressive. "That seems like a decent assumption. We should see the actual output on a ship later to see what has been accomplished. At the same time we should also work to create a smaller scale project just for fighters since this could benefit them immensely."

Ayumi looked at Cam and gave a nod of her head as she spoke "[technobabble, technobabble.... quantum, technobabble... use the deflector]" SHe might not be the best scientist but she was looking at it all and spoke holding up some cases for armors. "We have small rods for armor to test it out running systems. Using the old model staortrooper design where the knee could contain the power cells for the entire suit. These cases will go at the small of the back." She was moving over now and there were other ones as screen showed the systems working upstairs all at once. There were good results but Cam was correct... a ship would be a test. Working a belt and claw was one thing working a shield that coudl come under sttack or turbolasers... That took work. "Lets use the data for now to determine how big for a fighter then shall we."

[member="Ayumi Pallopides"]

One would think this all rather made no sense, but it did. The rod cells for the armor actually sounded like a great idea. Although it gave the impression they either had to be swapped out at intervals or they would be rather fragile and liable to be damaged. Which was something Camellia intended to ask about clearly. "For the starfighters . . . . I'd assume we could safely power anything under 100 meters without worry. I think constructing a generator the right size for a snubfighter around 10-18 meters shouldn't be a difficult task. I'm only worried about the isotopes for craft cruiser sized if at all. Although for your armor design I feel a tad worried their rod shape and size leaves them open to be damaged. I hope that fits into armor where it won't suffer concussive damage or be able to be hit."

"We were looking at kinetic armor as casing and biogel for cushion. Should be protective enough for concussive damage. We can only guess how long five grams of isotope will power a suit being used but our math has been looking at it. Five million micrograms with one powering a datapad continuously for a century. Our best case scenario... one pack will give what everyone gets a single lifetime for the wearer." She was hoping, in truth still untested but Ayumi went to a locker and pulled out one of the gravity leveler suits showing how they could fit the casing and it didn't stick out that much. It looked like those raised plates on the back of stormtrooper armor.

[member="Ayumi Pallopides"]

That sounded like sufficient protection for the power source, the ability to power the suit for a lifetime though seemed a tad high. A datapad barely used any power. A powered suit? With its own attachments and systems? Maybe even a light shield generator that was either fixed or rechargeable? That would certainly drain something. It would likely be best to have the suit have its systems be rechargeable if it had shields otherwise it would need a new rod every battle, though a soldier's life could likely be guaranteed during that battle perhaps. To create each rod though and armor unit it was likely expensive and difficult though. "That sounds like adequate defenses for the unit. I think a lifetime estimate is a little bold though. . . . but that doesn't concern me much. What's next then that involves Stardrive?"

"I like to aim high." It wasn't such a great thing to say but in truth she was guessing. Who knew what might have come from it all as she looked over it all. "The next part that involves the Stardrives is." Ayumi trailed off while bringing another holodisplay. "We have been working on this ship, for the medical fleet and still have plenty of things to get for it but it is going to need a place to be built. We have friendship with Eshan, you, Corellian Engineering and Baktoid but a major project like this with the Silver jedi requires shipyards that are larger then we have." She looked at her because on top of a fighter to try with these reactors building the ship while giving them a chance to look upon the reactor and run the stress tests they needed to. "We'll be looking it all over now and whatever kind of fighters you want to try it on we can."

[member="Ayumi Pallopides"]

Well they certainly had their bases covered, but then there were a few things that Camellia didn't like about a few of the other companies mentioned. Nothing major, but there certainly were a extenuating situations and incidents one had to recall. "Baktoid has the whole Drunckenwell fiasco on its hands still, I'd steer clear of them especially if you don't want to get any disfavor from the Republic and Protectorate, especially with them becoming more friendly with each other nowadays. I guess because of that its also hard to hazard if Corellia is a good option since I know the Silver Jedi tend to not like the Republic, so if the Protectorate and Republic join together in ideology then working with Corellia might run back to owing the Republic. Eshan drives I know little about, but I believe they've done decent work before. And I can assure you Rendili enjoys its business with the Order."

Ayumi looked at her. "The situation with Baktoid is questionable but considering how quick the galaxy is to forgive and forget some peoples actions when it is in their favor I don't see reason to care. Alli Wren was brought it to save the Republic with the Chancellor and Selena Halcyon returned from the unknown regions to fight the Sith. She saved billions of lives when the Protectorate refused to help fight and the rest of the galaxy didn't want to preferring to let the combination of the Sith Empire, CIS, Fringe forces, Atrisian Empire and BLack Suns gather into the Axis. People choose to forget the good for their own agenda." She wasn't worried about it to much now while looking at the rest. "Now onto the real treat, where do you want to test these?"

[member="Ayumi Pallopides"]

Yes people can always forget the good in the past because of a single mistake, but that was exactly the point. Just because someone acknowledges the good again, doesn't mean everyone will. Then again, Camellia just knew she was more of the cautious type and usually more conscious of what others might think and how it would effect what she would be doing. She wasn't insulting or condemning those other companies as much as she was keeping in mind public opinion and politics. "The reactors? Depending on what we're putting them on, I'd like to test Fighters at Rendili's yards so we can monitor and apply tests to everything. Frigates or larger I'd like to test further out in the system space away from inhabited areas in the case the reactor goes south."

Ayumi gave a nod of agreement to that, she understood the tests and was for them. They could move the reactors to test in the yards on the smaller ships and the larger one for the ship. "That is acceptable, while I doubt it needs to be said confidentiality is key to this so we don't have people rushing to try and invade Shri-Tal or swarming it. We also don't want this getting out to the Republic and give them more reason to try and threaten. THeir senator and the jedi that was sent both were less then hospitable." The small smile though on her face while she started looking at the requisitions. "We can get some tempus to transport the reactors with your ship and get as much isotope as possible. A team of shadows will escort but only to make sure things remain hidden and safe."

[member="Ayumi Pallopides"]

That was understandable, even Camellia was starting to doubt the Republic a little. However, as long as it created a substantial buffer between Rendili and the threats of invasion from worse galactic governments, the young company CEO and Defense Fleet officer had no intention of undermining them either. Which was why she was alright with working with the Silver Jedi, knowing that even despite the differences between them and the Republic's Jedi Order that the Silver Jedi wouldn't cause direct harm to the Republic, not while it still fought against the Sith and others who sought to spread injustice and the dark side.

Still, there were just some things one could be overly paranoid over. "I have to say I have some doubts about the Republic's . . . .abilities nowadays, but still they function at least for now. Everything sounds good though, nothing will be leaked on our end. Though I do feel you may be a tad paranoid, Rendili's Proton-8 Reactor is a well known trade secret at this point and we haven't been invaded for it. All you need is a good business model, and the right defenses and allies to scare off such. . . .unsavory crooks."
