Ostensibly nothing more than another in a long line of Arkanian based tech conglomerates, Strategic Solutions LLC. is in fact a public arm of the Republic Strategic Information Service. While it is common knowledge that the corporation is an avid bidder on New Republic military contracts, the true extent of SIS involvement throughout practically every level of financial operations is known only to a few. Doing brisk enough business off its consumer level products to maintain its cover, Strategic Solutions' true purpose is research and development for Republic operatives as well as reverse engineering and intel acquisition of anything recovered from hostile agencies.
Based out of the heart of Adascopolis on Arkania, everything about the tech giant's base of operations appears entirely mundane on the outside. Most codeword level projects are conducted in remote black sites throughout Republic space and beyond, and all connections tying the resources back to Strategic Solutions are erased, ciphered, or otherwise obfuscated. While publicly its representatives espouse the same meaningless platitudes as their competitors, the true mission statement of the company is to help make impossible missions possible by placing the right tools in the right hands.
RATIONALE
Alvar Hanso is one of Special Agent Darksword's oldest and longest lasting cover identities, and the CEO of Strategic Solutions. By design Hanso is presented as brilliant but mysterious and aloof from the day to day operations of his corporate empire, only making rare public appearances when absolutely necessary. Other times, he is played by a team of agents through remote means where it is possible to falsify his identity, particularly in correspondence with other tech moguls.
Strategic Solutions has been an asset for as far back as when the SIS was still a branch of the Galactic Alliance, and one of the few public fronts to survive the agency's data purges after the destruction on Coruscant. Luckily, Grand Marshal Taeli Raaf was never briefed on its existence or purpose as it was not deemed relevant to her administrative position and to maintain plausible deniability. Quietly relocating from Galactic City to Adascopolis, the original Strategic Solutions HQ represents in a sense the last Alliance posting to fall on Coruscant after the collapse of its government.
