Story Arc brainstorm

So, as discussed on skype I thought it would be a nice change of pace from the invasion to have a story arc.

I've set up a google doc here:

I think it would be a nice idea for people to just brainstorm on a few pages. Write down some ideas, add to other ideas etc.

I've hashed out a few thoughts in literally five minutes

Personally I'd be in favour of something a bit more character driven, with only the occasional hack and slash.

Oh and bring down the console and type "god mode 0"

Yes for Character Driven.
I've got a few ideas running in my head for the future. Most of it is focusing Marek and the Techno Union and the Knights Obsidian. Focusing on the Confederacy from a character perspective would lend a fun twist to writing some more 'spy novel' and 'political thriller' style stories. Or Jedi Shadow-esque scenarios.

So, whats your thoughts on how to make a move through here. Having the doc is good, but also having open discussion on the forum is just as nice. Figuring out where to move the government, how to use the entirety of it, Knights, Viceroy, Techno Union, as to how to take charge, and what direction.

Do we try to save face, or do we let the actions of Druckenwell define our warfare?

I use titanpad not Google docs, as its easier.

The TU is only a company, lets keep it that way. Its up to the faction leader how to reform the government.
But as for the war, we will need new weapons, new ships, new tech, and system that ensure whoever the morons who did what they did on Druckenwell don't do that again. We lost a perfectly good battle to that stupidity.

We lost a battle due to metagaming. Not that it was going to be easy, we may have lost anyways- but, we could have won. Either way, it was not about winning or losing. The metagaming took it well past what we could control. I grow ever tired of the mixing of IC and OOC. Nonetheless, things do need to change and I foresee it getting a lot darker around here.

Hindsight being 20/20, this may just have been what we needed.

It offers to us a different direction based on IC events [and not OOC drama], one where the opportunity for story is much larger.

Folks, WE ARE THE NEW EVIL in the galaxy.

Take a moment to reflect on that.

Yeah well everything thinks we are bat shit crazy and totally nonsense after that stunt in drunkenwell. I don't know who is responsible and why. Make sure it don't happen again.


But Ane, as far as meta, we pretty much handed them that win on a silver platter by collapsing the station onto the planet. Something like that should not happen again. I can see things getting very interesting around here, lets just get are shit together, and get ready for the counter attack.

But yeah, a political official is dead, a important geopolitical area was just bombarded. And war is now officially declared. Its late July. Well folks, this is officially The Guns of August. lets try not to be Kaiser Wilhelm II, shall we?

For now, I hold the same belief of [member="Anesia Jy'Vun"]. For us to win from now on, we need to be ruthless. We held back and thought we were too good to lose in the thread. We need to shape up. So, as for now, We need to be "Evil" We need to be able to get our hands dirty and send back an attack. As I said in the thread. We need to grab Life by the balls and twist them so they work to our favor.

We need to amp up the apprentices to knights, and Knights to Masters, And put masters in places of power so we can get the show running again. We tripped up here. From now on, we need to pick ourselves up and start sprinting. WE ARE THE NEW EVIL. Even if we are not in title we are in mind.

We need to kick our own asses to get on this. Cus if we dont, planets will be taken down one at a time.

Do we need to be ruthless? Absolutely. Did we lose because we held back, respectively, I would say no to that.

This is to no offense to anyone in particular- but, as it stands, everyone still hates us. I'm perfectly okay with that now- why? Because there was an actual reason this time, in character.

As far as handing them Druckenwell on a silver platter, [member="Darth Kentarch"], I must digress, because my beliefs are far from that. And I would rather not start an argument between us because of it.

Also, anyone can call themselves anything. It is through actions that truly define what is and what is not.

Would I have liked the invasion to last... at least until Salem returned? Yes. Of course. There were plenty of things I did not get to do. For instance: I wanted combat with Anesia and Spencer Jacobs. I wanted to add people to my character's story line. I WANTED a lot to happen. Fact is, it didn't. What happened, happened. There is nothing we can do to change it. It needs to be put in the archive, we need to learn what we can from it and move forward. Use this arc in the Confederacy's story to its full potential.

I am not staff, nor a head of this faction in any sense, shape, or form. These are merely my opinions and my observations.

It is of my belief that we back the Techno Union for starters and rebuild a better... empire for our independent systems.

Most of the posts done in the thread, were done by the OP because they skipped over us. I was intedning to Fight Siobhan but she just acted as though I was not even there. And that pisses me off. I went through the thread and counted every post that was made. I decided to lose my count when it was almost 2:1. We slacked. I myself out of 20 pages made only a total of 8 posts. 8 POSTS! You made 5-7 (I forget as of this moment)

No no, I understand Kentarch. We (I) fucked up. I wanted to make a story, though. I wanted to drive the CIS into the state it needed to be in to come out greater.

This is all going according to plan, even if you guys are thinking we all fucked it up bad. This is no more or less than an opportunity, and we should grab it and ride it hard.

...Once Salem returns, anyway.

I know, and I would have thought that as the "great" rpers they are, they would have not done that. Wait a good 24 hours before their next post. They pushed to get this done before the LC could come back. They knew that he was OOC leader and so they wanted to keep him out.

It sickens me that I have to deal with this.

RPJ's don't care. They look for consecutive fights with good writing. They didn't care if people got left behind. It's happened in every invasion to me since I got Morna to Elder.
