Stopping the Spice (Alice Shaw)

Solan had heard about a local an who distributed a large amount of spice in the area which brought him to the dark lounge where [member="Alice Shaw"] sang tonight, though he truly didnt even knew who she was other than she was some singer. No his eyes were on the man that was carrying the drug that injured those who were addicted and took the substance, damaging their bodies in the process. He waited, listening to Shaw as the dealer sat and watched to, disappearing from the scene through a side door into the back of the lounge.

Solan followed him slowly and silently, feet gliding over the surface of the room and watching as Shaw left the stage upon finishing her number before he himself went through the side door the dealer had and mirror him through the halls to the back of the lounge into an alleyway no one would see or hear. There he watched and waited to see who it was that would buy the spice from him. [member="Alice Shaw"]

Alice had had more than a tough day. Things just weren't going her way. Regardless, she stumbled through her next show with impressive and very ballsy speed. Her usual grace and elegance were not disturbed and the lyrics poured from her mouth just as they always did. But she was craving a different kind of satisfaction today. She made her way off stage and into her dressing room, taking the spare minutes to change into a robe. It wasn't nearly as thick as she would have liked but right now, that was the least on her mind. The side door swung out, opening up to the ally.

The darkness from outside poured in, battling against the yellow glow of her rooms. Alice lent against the door, folding her arms over her chest to protect herself from the harsh breeze. The tall buildings seemed to create a make-shift wind tunnel that did nothing to help her growing chill. A fair amount of credits were closed in her pale palm and Alice addressed the shadow gradually getting closer and closer. "You took your time."

Solan watched further down the alley as the dealer raised a brow to her and smiled. "Would you rather i left and you be lost in this alley, begging for this?" He reaced in and took out a bit of spice kept in vial. "Now, you have the credits i assume?" Solan edged silently and in the shadows, his hood and robes black as the shadows as he stood no more then fifteen feet from them, though it is likely neither could see him, waiting for her to pay for it. Alice shot him a weary smile back, though she had no quarrel with her usual man, he was sarcastic and she wasn't in the mood. She pulled the fist away from her chest and allowed her fingers to uncurl. The credits shifted in her palm as she offered them out to him, moving her other hand to take the spice. This was the part of the deal that Alice always assumed to be the easiest. He gives her the spice, she gives him the money, simple as. But she had learnt never to trust a dealer, especially not this one. Though his spice was assumed to be the best. The credits slipped from her hand over to his, and following that, the spice exchanged hands.

And as the spice was handed over, or tried to, it started to float well out of arms reach above them as Solan walked out of the shadows. "You know, this stuff taste rather bad..." Solan had no idea how spice worked, but curled his fingers and crushed the vial before dropping its contents into a gutter. "Now, i think its time you start running before my blade gets a bit too... blood thirsty." In a moment the man ran, not even noticing as Solan also grabbed the credits through the force and brought them to his hand as he counted it before turning his head to [member="Alice Shaw"]. "What are you doing..."

Alice tilted her head, looking rather confused as the spice vile literally floated away from her grasp. A voice soon followed, though it shocked Alice a little her contact was more than a little jumpy. Alice let out a heavy exhale of hair as the dealer bolted straight for the nearest escape route. Typical. The sound of a crushing vial wasn't that devastating to Alice, there were plenty of people she could call as soon as the invader left. Alice raised a brow, realising that the new comer was speaking to her. "Making my own life choices. Now that you've crushed my purchase, you can give me my money back." She took a few steps forward, holding her hand out for the credits. She wasn't afraid of this man, help was only a scream away.

"You do realize that stuff is illegal, and i dont think you want to be demanding things, im not stupid enough not to also have personal video of the entire exchange for the authorities. Now perhaps you can tell me why you turned to spice in the first place, otherwise you wont be seeing it for a long while. I mean, your voice is pretty and so was your performance, but do you really want to ruin that and your own beauty with this stuff?" His voice suggested absolutely no hint of lying, his eyes pale blue as he sat down and waited for her to speak to him. [member="Alice Shaw"]

Alice raised her brow slightly. He was certainly a ballsy character. "Thanks, but I don't think flattery or an attempt to change my life will help anything. Why I started is my own personal business. You should keep your nose out of it." He seemed to be rather naive in respect to the spice itself, but then again most people were. The day just seemed to be getting better and better for Alice. Now she had to deal with someone trying to ruin her only solace. It was fair to say she wasn't a happy bunny.

"Then how about you explain why you need this spice, what benefit does it give you other than relax you when there are many legal things that could be done in substitution for Spice, unless you like to destroy your body." He didnt move or care if she it was her personal business. "Also, theres a difference between flattery and truth, you are beautiful and your singing is pretty, which is why im curious why you would destroy your body." [member="Alice Shaw"]

"Because I have the option and I decided I like the way it relaxed me better than other legal methods. Are you done involving yourself in something that doesn't concern you?" Alice's eyes remained on him with a cold hard stare, though she wasn't quite finished talking yet. "Are all Jedi this nosey and disruptive? I might as well add thief to that list too." Of course, Alice was only assuming he was a Jedi. His force use and strange desire to do right was some small give away. He was only angering her further. Though there wasn't much she could do about it of course.

"Tell you what, i show you a few things that can take the place of those, and then you can have your credits back, the video erased, and you will never see me again unless you so desire... its better than just standing here talking about a sore subject such as this." He smiled lightly before speaking once more before waiting for her answer. "By the way, whats your name exactly?" He laughed softly at the fact that he didnt even know the woman he was trying to help. [member="Alice Shaw"]

Alice exhaled heavily into the air, letting her head fall back to hit the door behind her. The soft thud echoed for a moment in the still silence as Alice thought up a suitable response. "This better be damn good, though it'll be a waste of time." She grumbled heavily into the air as she turned to walk back into her dressing room, motioning for the young man to follow. "Alice." The back end of her robe disappeared inside the door, her face twisted into a less then pleased expression.

Solan waited silently out the door, watching people pass by one by one and occasionally glancing at the door every so often. He waited for a few minutes while she did whatever it was inside there. He started whistling softly as he took out a pair of glasses and his datapad which he began to navigate, his pale blue eyes scanning over the surface of the pad while he did so. [member="Alice Shaw"]

She emerged a few seconds later wearing suitable clothing for the nights weather. The wind seemed less violent now that she had more covering her up, regardless, it still sent a chill down her spine. She closed the door to her dressing room behind her as she stepped out into the alley way. "Will this take long?" Alice had no desire to waste time. She was more than eager to get this all over and done with so she could call a new contact. She was starting to feel the familiar desperation rising up in her stomach.

[member="Solan Charr"]

Solan smiled and shrugged as they went out into the alley again, walking slowly in no hurry. "That depends on if i can get to you or not doesnt it?" He smiled, kindly and softly while he walked his hands crossed behind him and his eyes looking at her, pale blue and bright in the night. He hadn't even removed the glasses as he walked, the almost primitive technology was an oddity but it was all he knew on Dantooine so he decided to keep them instead of fixing his vision. "Anything you do as a hobby or fun, we can start with that... and drugs dont count as i would rather not be harmed during the night." [member="Alice Shaw"]

Alice walked beside him, silently cursing the slow pace he chose to walk at. "This wasn't about getting to me. It was about showing me. You can show me. That doesn't mean I'll take to it. Or that it would necessarily "get to me"." Her frown remained on her face, deep set lines expressing her distaste for the entire outcome of the night. "I sing, I socialise, I take drugs, I drink. There's nothing more to it." Alice folded her arms against her chest once again, in an almost protective stance. The harsh wind was a cold reminder that actually, this man was a stranger. She wasn't about to be raped or murdered in an alley way on Coruscant. "What's your name?"

[member="Solan Charr"]

"Perhaps thats your problem then, you need an outlet of relaxation and down time, and the fast acting drugs and drinks give you that. What i want to show you are the alternatives that are much more beautiful and fun than damaging your body. My name is Solan Caelus Charr, your friend for the night." He smiled at her, not an ounce of deceit in his expression as it was just a soft, calm, kindness that was meant to relax her. His being aJedi had nothing to do with him trying to help her, nor was her fame the reason as he didnt care. It was simply he didnt want to see someone with so much promise for their future to be destroyed by addiction. [member="Alice Shaw"]

"It's not a problem. It's a choice. It's what I enjoy doing." She was slightly more annoyed now that her solace was being penalized. She'd remember the name Solan Charr at the very least. Perhaps if she ever met someone of worth in the Jedi order she'd have a word. She exhaled a little, the chill breeze wrapping around her skin as they continued to walk. "I would assume have assumed you knew that taking spice and singing are my hobbies. Why would I have any need to find more."

[member="Solan Charr"]

"To be honest, i knew nothing about you when i choose to even do this, and it has nothing to do with any obligations. No my obligations would have you thrown in a jail for the night but that would be useless and really doesnt show you there are better things than spice that can do the same thing." He kept walking, showing no hint to turning and heading in a different direction past walking down the night time street with [member="Alice Shaw"] beside him. "Was there anything you liked to do before you started singing heavily or taking spice?"

Alice huffed, heavily. She was getting tired of his preaching. "I've known nothing but singing, long nights, spice and alcohol. Sue me for keeping a constant schedule." Alice turned as he did. The streets were quickly getting dark and she wasn't exactly sure of the abilities the man beside her possessed. Alice was starting to debate the whole idea in the first place. It wasn't too far to walk back to the back door...
