Stolen Goods

The Reaper of Won Shasot
Location: Outer Rim Coalition Space, leaving Aing-Tii system

The Azalea shuddered as it broke through the planet's atmosphere, hot on the tail of another vessel. Smugglers weren't uncommon in the Outer Rim Coalition, hell, Dax wouldn't even be surprised if they made up more then half of the people who called the Rim home. But even then, there were some items that could not, and should not be smuggled, and Aing-Tii weapons and relics were among them.

The Grand Marshall swore loudly as the fleeing vessel slowly grew further away. "Tell the hangar to get the Dawn ready! Azalea's fast, but she can't outrun a smuggler's vessel. C'mon Ciir, we got work to do." The old Alliance captain followed close behind his commander before asking, "What'd that smuggler take, sir? I though we protected smugglers, let alone hunt 'em down."

"Yeah, well that's until they take chit from the Aing-Tii my friend. They may be called monks, but they ain't exactly peaceful. And I don't wanna be the ones to tell them someone took their crap."

Three blue security droids saluted as the the two men walked on board, the blind wolf-like creature that had been napping on the floor of the hangar yawned, stretched and began to pace behind the them as well, nails clacking on the floor.

Within moments of sitting in his chair, the Dax had the Dawn rocketing out of the frigate's bay and chasing his collar.

Cutting through space with great speed was the Corellian YV-664 'Solance'. Likewise, the ship was traveling far slower then its average speed as the large cargo containers in which were attached to its front slowed down the ship. Now, following the ship was a large Frigate, in which made chase for a reason.. In the cargo containers a large supply of stolen Aing-Tii was contained. Moreover, the captain of this ship, Iluna, desperately gunned the engines attempting to evade the evermore approaching ship.

"Come on.. come on.. just.. just go a little faster, Today is not the day I'm gonna die" Iluna yelled into her console as she panicked to figure out a way to make the ship somehow go faster. After a moment of panic, she would finally set the ship on autopilot setting it on a course forward, on route to the hyperlane. With the ship on autopilot, Iluna would flee to the ships secret cargo hold knowing that her ship would be unable to flee from her incoming pursuers.

Once the ship arrived at the location of the hyperlane jump point, it would seem to halt dead, with all life support systems online though it seemed to just begin recharging its engines while remaining dead in space.

The Reverent Dawn sped through space after its prey, the overladen vessel appearing to stall to a hault right in front of him. The Marshall overshot his target, not expecting the smuggler's ship to suddenly stop. Pulling a tight U-turn Dax brought his Corvette next to the Freighter and looked at it quizzically. He couldn't see into its cockpit, but something definitely seemed off. No smuggler would let their vessel be in such poor condition it would fail them. After a moment or two of silence Halzyn finally asked the question that question that had been on both their minds, "So are we gonna board?" The Grand Marshall nodded and engaged the boarding protocols, a distance hiss indicating the hulls of the two vessels had joined and were now one.

The smuggler's ship opened up, and where Dax had his lightsaber out, prepared for a greeting of blaster fire, he was instead greeted by silence. "Halzyn, check the cargo hold. I'll see if our gracious host is in the cockpit." The Captain nodded, shouldering his rifle and carefully moved towards the cargo hold, checking his corners as he went. Dax put his saber back onto his belt opting to instead pull out his slugthrower from its holster before beginning to move towards the cockpit.

As the captors moved into the ship, Iluna had already been hiding in the secret ventilation shafts below the floor of the ship, a place were most smugglers hide extra cargo. Moreover, she had also brought with her some supplies in which she'd use in the case things got hot. Along with that, she had left the ship to looking desolate as if it was a decoy. The cockpit was empty and the autopilot was set for a certain preset course making it seem more like this was the decoy ship.

"System override 1132, Activate smoke and light stun auto-lasers, Protocol 2." Iluna would say this as she whispered into her comm on her wrist.

Within a moment smoke would pop and fill all the ships compartments except for the cockpit which was strangely left untouched. Along with that some weak auto-turrets would open fire on the borders firing stun rounds and ion rounds sending the rest of the ship into a mess.

A pop and hiss could be heard by the two men and smoke quickly began to rise up from the ventilation grates in and near the floors. Dax stopped in his and waited as the hallways filled with the obscuring smoke. He readied himself for whatever was coming, reaching out with the Force to attempt to detect any life that was going to come and try and kill him. He could certainly feel three presences on board the ship. 'Hiding...figures...smoke was a nice touch though'. The Marshall's attempts to detect any life forms though would not extend to detecting the auto turrets that quietly powered up and took aim. Quick reflexes were the only thing that kept Dax from being shocked into unconsciousness, his orange bladed lightsaber pulled into his left left hand by the Force, igniting the grey smoke in a flurry of orange light intercepting the blue lasers that screamed towards the man. Dax ddid his best to direct his screen of defense to deflect the beams back towards whatever was firing at him. Halzyn's voice suddenly came yelling over his communicator "I'm taking fire, sir! Orders?"

Before the man responded he dashed forward, zig zagging to avoid being shot, closing the gap, and when he was close enough to see the turrets, he shot the first with his slug thrower, the loud bang echoing through the confines of the freighter. The second was swiped down by Dax's blade, a molten sparking mess. "They're turrets, dispose of them. But if you see the smuggler I want them alive, copy?"
"Copy, sir."
"I'm almost to the cockpit, I'll attempt to turn the turrets off from there."

Dax proceeded through the hallways, disposing of the turrets blocking his way as quickly as he could, and before long, the doors of the cockpit slid open.

[member="Iluna Devano"]

As the turrets were destroyed one by one it was becoming obvious that was some sort of distraction as the turrets were not very powerful something appeared to be very off. Once [member="Dax Fyre"] entered the cockpit everything officially strange, it was empty, and the auto-pilot system was on. The course of the auto-pilot was directed in a set location with a note for another ship heading in a different location which gave of the impression in which this was a distraction, likewise, there was still the presence of someone's force energy hiding within this ship.

Iluna seeing that someone had entered the cockpit began crawling through the vents heading to another point in the building, she covered her mouth with a mask and began heading to the crew quarters, although this movement gave her position away through light taps which could be heard from below the cockpit's underline ventilation.

"Protocol 131-2, Release the gas" She would whisper that into her comm as she shifted throughout the vents and with that command gas began leaking throughout the ship, not lethal, Although not the healthiest to inhale.

The Reaper of Won Shasot
As soon as Dax had gotten to the cockpit, he sat down and began to try to splice into the systems to turn off the smoke and turrets. Within a minute or two he was done, and the turrets powered down as smoke began to clear. "Thanks boss."

"No problem. What's the status on the crago?"
"There's crates here, but I don't think I'll be able to crack 'em open. Can't really tell you. Sorry sir."
"That's fine, I sensed someone else on board earlier."
"Think it's our smuggler?"

Dax peered at the note detailing different co-ordinates than the auto-pilot and took a few moments to think. Apparently, he took to long though, as Halzyn's voice echoed over the comms again, "Sir?"
"I don't know..."

Suddenly gas began to seep into the cockpit and swearing could be heard from Halzyn. Lucky for him, his helmet could filter out the toxins. Dax on the other hand, was not so lucky. All he could do was take a deep breath.

[member="Iluna Devano"]

Finally as the smoke cleared so did the gas, leaving the cockpit along with the rest of the ship cleared with each turret also being disabled. Along with that, the cargo containers if checked full of a trash and garbage and not the stolen Material. Proving this ship to being the decoy. although, there was still a life-form in this ship, the question was were was this person.

"Prepare the escape pods, once my pods launched launch the two other and dump the crates" She would say into her comm again as she crawled out from the vent.

Though, as she began hiding the shaft she came from by putting a lid on the opening, she dropped the metal cap creating a loud noise which echoed throughout the ship, prompting her to make a run for the escape pods knowing her position was given away. By this time it would've been safe to breathe throughout the ship as all the gas would've been gone.

Dax bent over coughing a moment as the grate crashed open. "Are you alright boss? Boss?!" Halzyn cried into the comms as he sprinted towards the long clanging sound. "Yeah, I'm good." The Marshall coughed as he too began to run towards the life-force. "I think they're heading for the escape pods! I'm gonna try to cut her off!" The affirmative came from Halzyn and the two sprinted as quickly as they could through the cramped metallic halls, their boots echoing loudly. Up ahead, the smuggler could also heard running.

[member="Iluna Devano"]

As Iluna made it to the escape pod she threw her supplies into the pod before jumping in and starting the launching sequence, one by one pods would escape, and the garbage from the ships crates would have been dumped creating to many signatures for the scanners on the boarding ships to detect, although for Iluna her luck had ran out as the pod she was in jammed and would not launch as the door couldn't shut.

"Launch dammit, Launch!" She would say as she bashed her fists into the control panel of the pod, by this time her pursuers would be in the pod bay

Knowing she was in a tight situation Iluna prepared her blaster pistol and aimed it out the door of the pod and tried to try and launch her pod, however, it continued to deny her the ability to launch which only made the situation far worse for the young smuggler.

It seemed the smuggler's luck had run out as all the pods but hers launched. Dax drew his saber, prepared to defend, rather than attack. Halzyn coming from the other side of the door let his rifle drop to his side as he drew his pistol to better round the corner of the pods. Dax would go first however, saber raised to deflect any incoming rounds. Taking a single step inside to keep the doors from suddenly closing, just in case the vessel decided to get its crap together.

[member="Iluna Devano"]

She would back up against the wall of the pod as [member="Dax Fyre"] aproached, scared of the man with a lightsaber approaching. In this very moment she simply just continued to panic looking around at the approaching figures. As Dax entered the pod she would be against the glass holding her pistol towards him as in this very moment thoughts of fear and anger rushed throughout her head

"Stay back dammit!" She would continue to wave her blaster pistol at Dax, overly shaking as goose bumps began going popping up. At the same time she would try and launch the pod one more time, and alas.. had no luck at all

The Reaper of Won Shasot
Dax was surprised to not see a gruff looking ruffian, seasoned by many years of running from Imperials and other authorities, but rather a very pretty looking young woman, no older than himself, with a very scared expression on her face. Despite this, Dax had to admit, she had grit to steal from the Aing-Tii and he wasn't about to let his guard down just because it was a pretty lady he was suddenly hunting. "Lady, just put the gun down, and you won't be hurt. Look..." The orange blade hissed as it returned to its hilt and his slugthrower clicked into its holster. The soldier behind simply lowered his weapon a little, still at the ready, but not aiming to shoot the woman with thousands of volts of electricity. "Just put it down." Even if Dax was tense, his voice came out low and calm, along with a little bit of Force-aided aura of safety, hoping that that would be enough to convince the woman not to try and put a burning hole in his chest. Even still, the man was ready to spring to the side of the pod and then lunge at her if her finger even twitched while on the trigger. He wasn't planning on getting killed today.

[member="Iluna Devano"]

Seeing the weapons drawn on her and knowing she had no chance of making it out of this alive if she resorted to opening fire on [member="Dax Fyre"] Iluna dropped her pistol and simply raised her hands knowing that a fight would mean certain death. Along with that she would deactivate the launch sequence on the escape pod to make sure it didn't decide to work during the time leaving the pod. Moreover, Iluna would begin surveying her 'captors' for any obvious weaknesses. She would also take into note how Dax was surprised on her being a woman, As that factor might play into affect in her escape.

"I surrender, just please don't hurt me" she would purposely make her voice sound more frail to give of the impression that deep down she was simply a weak woman not ready for the burdens of smuggling, as she knew playing this 'captive' game took some acting to perfect.

The Reaper of Won Shasot
Dax pulled the woman's blaster into his hand and tucked into in the back of his pants, removing cuffs from his belt as well. "Turn around, interlace your fingers ontop of oyur head, cross you feet." The Grand Marshall may be young, especially for his rank, but he was still Grand Marshall. He wrote the handbook, and he'd probably seen more chit than some of the older veterans he knew. He was no fool, he knew exactly how easily a pretty face could get a man killed. Captain Ciir behind him, raised his blaster once more, ensuring that even if the woman did try something, she'd receive a swift stunbolt to the chest. If it hadn't been clear to the smuggler before, these weren't just some bounty hunters in dusty coats and dinged up armor. They were professionals.

[member="Iluna Devano"]

Iluna not wanting any trouble, would do so turning around, interlacing her fingers on-top of her head, and crossing her feat. She would though in a quick moment hide a tracker in her pants while turning around. "I will not be harmed.. correct?" She would say again with a frail tone. Along with that she would move to present her self in a 'seductive' stance to entrance or distract [member="Dax Fyre"]. Moreover, to play the character of the 'captive' she would go along with whatever her 'captors' had to say, although, she did realize that these people are not the typical run of the mill bounty hunters in which she had learned how to easily outsmart in the past. These people from their ship to their equipment came of as something far more worse, which did frighten Iluna in this situation. Professionals, her worst nightmare, people who have dealt with her type of people in the past, in someway this will be a testament to her skills in which she has acquired from the past, Her first real challenge.

The Reaper of Won Shasot
"As long as you don't try anything stupid you won't be." said the Marshall as he, began to pat the woman down, searching for any extra weapons or contraband that may or may not be on her person. The way the woman held herself, trying to both entice him and appear to be vulnerable at the same time, it had every indicator that the smuggler was not just a rookie, but someone who had been smuggling for a time, by the very least, and had a tendency to get herself in and out of tough situations. If she hadn't been his quarry, and just any other smuggler living in Coalition space, he might've offered to buy her a drink. But today, she was the only person who could tell him where the Aing-Tii artifacts were and how to get them. It was all business now.

When the Marshall was done tossing aside whatever he found, he roughly pulled down one of the woman's arms securing her wrist into the cuffs, and then doing the on the other. "Alright, get your ass up." he said pulling on her collar.

[member="Iluna Devano"]

Within the search, the Marshal would find a blaster pistol, a shield projector and a weak cloaking device on her, which gives the question on why she never used it in the situation she was in."Hey, hands off!" Iluna would yell out as the Marshal grabbed onto her collar trying to kick around. Although, over time she would stop, knowing if she would continue to struggle, it was only time before her resistance would be met with force. Instead, Iluna would simply just calm down and let the Marshal hold her by her collar and follow behind, though she would use this moment of transition to continue observing her captors for any noticeable weak points. Moreover, she would simply go with the flow, continually presenting herself of as more and more feminine and trying to create a seductive stance to hopefully cause some sort of distraction within the group.

"Where do you plan on taking me.." She would say with that same old frail tone again, to continuously keep up the rouse of being fearful.

The Reaper of Won Shasot
Halzyn led the woman from the front, while Dax had a hand on her shoulder, guiding her, his other hand on his saber, just in case. The two led the smuggler to her own cargo hold, which didn't seem to make much sense. "We're already here." Halzyn hit the button to open the cargo holds door and instead of the empty void of space, the three would see the brightly lit interior of the Marshall's frigate. The fighter hangar they were in had long ago been emptied of its vehicles, instead making room for a large cloaking devices, and Dax's smaller corvette. The ships tractor beam had brought her in without her even noticing. Even if she had gotten away from Dax and Halzyn, she would've just launched herself right into a load of people eager to capture her.

"C'mon." The two men guided the smaller woman to the brig of the ship. With only three cells, it was small and cramped, each cell having its own bunk, sink and toilet, but no privacy of any sorts. Dax pushed the woman into the first cell and forced her to sit on the bunk. "Alright, where'd you put the Aing-Tii artifacts."

[member="Iluna Devano"]

Upon entering the ship, Iluna tried her best to keep memory of the halls in which shes in, knowing once her time came to escape, she would need to know where to run and hide. Although as she was tossed in the brig by [member="Dax Fyre"] she would sit down on the bunk hesitantly. Dropping the hole 'good girl' act once the interrogation session began she would look Dax straight in the eyes to show confidence, as confidence was a very powerful key to have in these interrogation sessions, the fact also dawned on Iluna that she was getting herself stuck in these situations way to much. Moreover, Iluna would sit up and finally speak.

"Why should I tell you.. The Aing-Tii artifacts are long gone, even if I was to tell you where they were, there would be no point. They are with the seller." She would say with a smug look on her face, though it was obvious this hole 'mean girl' act was just to act tough. Deep down she did not mean any harm, and hated acting like this in social situations. This prompted her to looking down as what she had recently said somewhat disgusted her of herself. Nevertheless though she continued to keep her confidence up by raising her head back at Dax and looking him square in eyes, and observing the brig around her for any ways to exit, and observing what the cell doors were.
