Staycation.

"We're both highly overdressed and I need to pack. Though I won't be packing much. I can't ignore my duties for long."

Highly overdressed? The Zabrak pondered the words as he followed [member="Lady Kay"] to her transport. What kind of vacation did she have in mind anyway? He was incredibly curious, but didn't want to say much of it. Though, it would be nice to get out of the suit he was in. Not exactly the most comfortable. Constricting around the torso and legs, cutting off his movement.

Still, it was nice to look fancy for once in his long life. Even though he still had his hands behind his head like a little punk. Ah well.

"So, where are we goin?"

Kay got into the transport with [member="Krest"] following in behind her. She sat down and noticed his calm posture. "To the Palace of course. As I said, I needed to pack. But....I didn't notice you carrying any luggage. Were you planning on shopping? Or?"

What she was planning was nothing fancy. Her idea of a vacation was more cozy than anything else. And more than likely boring. But he said that he wanted boring. She hoped that he wasn't disappointed with that choice. But it was his choice.

"Luggage?" The Zabrak blinked, and then turned to look back at the ship taking off. Oh, right. That's where his stuff was. "Oh, crap." He sat down with a sigh, a frown on his face. Yeah, he forgot his stuff. Well, at least he could shop for some somewhere he on Commenor. Heh, dressing in Commenor fashion. "I suppose I'm gonna have to go shopping now. At least nothing too important was on that ship." Just a couple changes of clothes, that's all.

"So yeah. I'll go shopping I guess. Take it day by day."

Kay smirked and then chuckled a little. Silly [member="Krest"] . Forgetting his luggage. Normally it's rumoured that the travel companies lose luggage. But oh well. At least they weren't on a planet that lacked clothing stores.

"I'm sure that you can have your luggage delivered somewhere after the cruise is over."

It wasn't long after that they had arrived at the Palace. "I'll be right back." There was no real point in him following her inside, only to turn around and hop back into the transport.

Kay got out and sure enough, about fifteen minutes later she returned with a small luggage and dressed more casually in slacks, shirt and jacket. She climbed back into the transport and instructed the driver to go to the shopping district. She then sat back down and settled herself. "Just casual, comfy clothes will be good enough. I don't plan on going anywhere fancy. I'm just going to be...a normal person again for a couple of days."

Krest, by the time [member="Lady Kay"] had gotten back, had removed his jacket and set it over the seat beside him. His blue eyes stared out the window as he watched the townsfolk go about their business. They seemed happy, so content with their lives and freedom. It was a welcome change compared to how the citizens of the One Sith walked, terrified of the Sith enemies and the Sith themselves.

The click of the car door signaled the Zabrak to the Queen's entering. Shopping now? Usually he wore clothing only for the occasion, never just because he felt like it. "Lead on then. I've never gone shopping."

Kay placed her luggage between her feet, raising a brow at what [member="Krest"] had revealed. "You've never gone shopping before? So....what do you do for clothing then? Get others to buy it for you? Or steal it? Make it yourself?" Any one if those was a possibility.

"Buy, steal, or make normally. But the clothing I get are situational, like the suit I'm wearing. I don't go shopping. Haven't had a reason." He could only shrug to [member="Lady Kay"] before turning his attention back out to the people wandering the city. "You've done a good job so far as Queen you know. The people seem happy."

"Well now you have a reason."

She looked out of the window. Her view wasn't the same as his, but she looked with different eyes.

"It's not what it was. There are pleople that don't like the changes since the Elders died and I was made Queen. But there were people that didn't approve of me being President either."

[member="Krest"]

"Whether you're Jedi or Sith, from Coruscant or a planet in the unknowns such as Crystalsong, there will always be someone who doesn't approve of at least one of your choices in life. Queen or not. The most you can do is keep your head high, and press on despite the disapproval you may receive. The people here are happy with life, you can see it. Those that aren't, made it so for themselves." Krest shrugged again, letting his eyes drift back to [member="Lady Kay"] . The weight of a crown was always heavy. "Though, I suppose I do need some new clothes. What store are we going to?"

Kay nodded. [member="Krest"] was right of course. Although her Master probably meant for her to rule with an iron fist, she chose a slightly less aggressive approach. Even that was enough to draw questions from many outsiders.

Then he changed the topic back to the task at hand. "Oh nowhere too fancy, I can assure you." Their transport stopped in front of a large store. Live models of both sexes were displayed in the windows, showing off the latest styles in short commercials. "We're here. Did you need me to go in with you? Or just wait here? Remember, you only need clothing that would keep you warm and comfortable." The weather on Commenor at this time of year was nothing like Iridonia.

"I should be fine. Won't take long, I'll just buy the first outfit I see." He chuckled, then opened the door to step out. "Don't be drivin off without me now, aye?" Not that he thought [member="Lady Kay"] would. Well, he hoped. He smiled one last time before heading into the building. It would be around ten minutes before the Zabrak would step back out dressed in a jean jacket, white shirt, and some slacks. It was a sharp contrast to his red skin.

As he got into the car however he simply pointed to one of the fashion adds.

"Looked good enough, so I used it."

Kay smirked as he figured she'd just leave him and run. She rolled her eyes and waved him off.

Well [member="Krest"] certainly did just as he said. He picked out the first thing that he saw. "That'll do, I suppose. Better than a suit anyways." She instructed the driver to head out of the city now and head towards the forest at the base of the Elderich mountains.

Kay spent the drive looking out at the view, fidgeting with her fingernails. "I did warn you that this would be boring. So...remember that." Was there going to be enough food? More than likely.

"And as I said, boring will be a vacation." Would he go stir crazy? Perhaps. But he still wasn't sure what [member="Lady Kay"] had in store. He let his gaze travel out to the forest the pair was traveling through, smiling at the scenery. This land untouched by war, on a planet that doesn't scar it with heat or cold, it was beautiful. Not his usual venue, and usually seen only in passing as he traveled through the Galaxy to kill his marks.

"You gonna tell me what we're gonna be doing up there?"

Kay look over to him. She was certain that [member="Krest"] wasn't going to last long there. That is if everything was as normal. "A whole lotta nothing."

Her attention was drawn back to window again. "I have a little cabin out here. It's my little retreat. I usually go there to read mystery holo-novels and just forget about my duties for a day or two. I can't risk anything greater than that." Anything could happen when she was away.

"Holo-novels eh?" He chuckled, shaking his head. A reading hut, as it were. His body already tensed at the idea of sitting and doing nothing, but his mind welcomed it. It was almost like a challenge now. How long could he sit and do nothing? Would reading help him sit longer? Questions that he was curious to see the answer to. "What sort of books do you own?" He honestly wasn't sure what kind of reader he would peg Kay for. Romance, mystery, action?

[member="Lady Kay"]

Kay smirked. She told [member="Krest"] that it would be boring, yet he didn't believe her. One would almost think that she was going to bore him on purpose. In a way it was a defensive tactic, a way to keep people at arm's length.

A shrug of her shoulders came along with her answer. "Mysteries mostly, and some psycholigical thrillers. All of that kind of stuff that I can relate to. It shows me different ways to handle those types of situations." Plus they were fun to read too.

Krest burst out into laughter at the mention of mystery books and using them to prepare for those sort of situations. It wasn't so much the Zabrak was laughing at [member="Lady Kay"] for it, but given their history, he the Assassin often leaving dead or wounded bodies behind, and her the politician often the one finding such bodies, it was more than ironic. "Did they help when you and I first met all those years ago?"

[member="Krest"] laughed at her. What, like it was so hard to believe? Did he expect her to fill her time with stupid romance novels? She had no time for such useless things. It wasn't as though she needed it in her life. There was too much going on as is.

She smirked as he asked about their first encounters. Oh yes, he had lots of fun tormenting her in his own little ways. But, she still came out on top, or at the very least, on equal footing. "In some ways, yes. And you still owe me a droid for destroying Mrs. Nesbitt." She hadn't forgotten that little piece of their history.

His laughter instantly stopped at the mention of Mrs. Nesbitt. Right, the droid he destroyed. If it weren't for his red skin, he might have blushed from embarrassment. Instead, he turned his gaze to the outside world again. "Right, I'll get you another droid. Or, if you still have her memory core, remake her." Or something. Honestly, Krest had done much to wrong [member="Lady Kay"] . He had not forgotten any of it. But he was old now, getting older. He could only hope she wouldn't hold his past actions against him, but if she chose to the Zabrak was ready to pay what ever price.

Kay shook her head, although [member="Krest"] couldn't see it as he was now looking out the window. "I don't have her memory core, no. But don't worry. It taught me a valuable lesson. I can't have anything too personal to me that could be used against me like that. I was only teasing you about a replacement."

She didn't hold anything against him, however. People change, herself included. Right now she was doing her best to keep herself under control and she was doing so with help. If she didn't have that help, then she'd go insane.

It didn't take much longer before they had arrived at their destination. Kay picked up her bag and stepped out of the transport, stretching herself out before she approached the cabin and unlocked the door. She opened it slowly, almost in anticipation of something to happen. But nothing did, so she walked in. The cabin was cozy, consisting of the living space, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. It was large enough for one or two people, but not much more than that. It wasn't as though Kay ever thought of bringing anyone there. "Well, here we are. Sorry to disappoint if you figured that I was lying about all of this."
