Operations and Rationale

Operations:
Stargo Enterprises began as a small transportation company but has since grown into major technologies corporation that dabbles in the illegal trades thanks to it's previous owner's mafia connections.

Primary Products:
  • Warships
  • War Droids
  • War Vehicles
  • Weapons
  • Armor
Secondary Products:
  • Unarmed Transports
  • Civilian Vehicles
  • Civilian Droids
  • Personal Defense Weapons
Illegal Trades:
  • Spice
  • Illegal Weapons Trade
  • Extortion
Rationale:

The company was first founded by the late Zev Stargo who conceived of the company in the late periods of the darkness. When it first began, the company was little more than Stargo and his buddies running repairs on civilian craft for low profit. However, Zev soon found himself entangled in the underworld. This lifestyle led Zev to begin dabbling in Illegal markets and using those funds to increase the reach of his small company.

After the Darkness had passed, Zev Stargo increased the prospects of the company by taking control of the South Systems Syndicate. The Syndicate had strong ties with the Geonosian survivors of the Darkness and this allowed the company, which had already begun making small civilian transports, the ability to make much larger ships. With the help of the illegal markets and large contracts down the line, the company grew exponentially.

Description:

The early history of Stargo Enterprises is one of intense crime and clawing for the top. The real story doesn't begin until after the hostile takeover of the South Systems Syndicate by Zev Stargo. The South Systems Syndicate, now known as the South Systems Bazaar, was a criminal organization with strong ties in the Outer Rim. Zev knew that they had strong ties in the spice, extortion and slave trade businesses and thus quickly moved to takeover the reigns from its Gen'Dai Boss. During a fake sit down meeting with the boss of the Syndicate, Durok, Zev Stargo assassinated the alien along with his underboss and closest associates.

With the void of power left untamed, Zev bribed his way to the top and immediately began to seize what assets he could. This began the South Systems Syndicate era of Stargo Enterprises. Zev's first order of business as the head of the Syndicate was to establish his company in the all-but-forgotten factories under Geonosis's surface. With the help of some of the Sndicate's contacts, Zev slowly repaired Geonosian Industry assets and established them as property of Stargo Enterprises. These new factories allowed the corporation to break into the droid and small ship industries, getting them small independent contracts.

The company would continue in the small-time fields, slowly establishing a name for themselves. Even after the South Systems Syndicate failed and was taken over by Danger, the company continued to prosper. The corporation's first big contract would come in the form of the CSA, a small major faction who was not long for the world. Using their assets, Stargo Enterprises acquired a start-up company by the name of Cerberus Defense Developments and used its new subsidiary to create a Heavy Cruiser and a small series of Droid starfighters. The CSA would fail before major contracts could be signed, but the company had been able to break out into the major leagues for the first time. Cerberus Defense Developments was later completely absorbed into the Stargo Enterprise company, resulting in the company becoming "Stargo Defense Enterprises".

The company's work with the CSA gained it the eye of Genesis Rosu, a man who was leading a small upstart faction known as the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Genesis offered Stargo Enterprises a position in the government, providing valuable military technologies to the faction. While no major contracts were signed, major technologies were put on loan to the faction and significantly propelled its space in the universe. Furthermore, a single contract with the Confederacy saw Stargo Defense Enterprises foot the bill for Druckenwell Shipyards. While a costly investment, it would see that the corporation would have a major hand in the design and construction in all Confederate vessels. With the help of the CIS, Stargo Enterprise established multiple factories and Ship Foundries in the Outer Rim. It wasn't long before the Stargo Enterprise brand was inducted into the Techno Union and allowed the company to build major enforcement assets and break further into the illegal markets.

Unfortunately for the company, its original founder died assisting the CIS in the taking of a planet from violent pirates. This led to the ownership of the company being passed down to Zev's illegitimate son, Xander Corbal. For a relatively brief span of time, Xander ran the corporation with the assistance of a capable Board of Directors. Many advancements and accomplishments were made under his leadership, including the creation of an innovative drive system and the commencement of a relationship with the Ession Reformation. However, one of the investments made by the novice CEO soon came to be his undoing.

Endeavoring to further broaden the horizons of Stargo Defense Enterprises, Xander reached out to a notable Alchemist by the name Isley Verd. He offered him an exorbitant sum of credits to convince him to take up leadership of a small subsidiary, Stargo Forge Works, in the hopes that Alchemy could propel the company to new heights. This investment proved fruitful initially...but then something strange occurred.

As if influenced through the Force, Xander felt the sudden urge to retire young and to live a happy, lust-filled life on Zeltros. He promptly stepped down as CEO of the corporation, leaving the Board of Directors to, as if by "magic", to name Isley as his successor. In a show of benevolence, however, the new CEO vowed that Xander would be more than welcome to return to Stargo Defense Enterprises at any time. To date, the corporation is currently adjusting to this new change in leadership whilst evaluating new prospects for the future.
