Stab them with the pointie end

Jonathan walked out of his living area to a cloudy day, "Greaaat." He sighed, just when his day could not get any worse. Today he had to train with his Aunt Matsu and some other dude. He particularly did not enjoy training with her, she always seemed so cold when he was around her. That could be in comparison to his mother who was always so chipper.

As he moved to the place of meeting he felt a drop on his face and looked up as he felt more, "Damn!" Rain began to fall and he knew she would not call things off. He continued his trek through the rain and mud until he came on the place of meeting. He looked around a bit, how was he early?

He began to get a little angry as he wondered if she canceled it on the count of rain and didn't tell him. He ignited his purple blade and waved it around a bit. He waved it over his head wildly. He heard of Jedi who could deflect blasters so maybe he could deflect rain..........nope.

Aris proceeded in a hurry towards the place of meeting designated by Jedi Master Ike. He was seemed to be late for things, which was something he had to work on if he wanted to lead people someday. The Hellyn stopped at one point to feel whether it was really starting to rain or no. As he felt the drop, Aris nodded to himself and hurried towards the rendzeavous point.

On his way, he noticed a lone figure aimlessly waving his purple lightsaber to which Aris raised an eyebrow. Was that some sort of training ?
Looking around, he noticed that everyone else seemed busy with something so possibly this was the other apprentice that was to train under Matsu Ike's tutelage. Aris approached the boy, he was a couple of years younger than Aris and much shorter, and asked him:

"I suppose you're here for Master Ike?"

Matsu looked at the two and her nephew was there as she offered a smile though. Looking and listening to them with the rain while she focused the force energies to redirect the water with minor shaping and a barrier of force energies before she spoke and saw the otther padawan who was joining them. Her look appearing with raised eyebrows before she was standing there. "Nephew you look well. How have your sisters been?" She loved her family and with her five daughters and the three children of her sister... then there was Yaei who ran a school for orphans who liked seein them. Yeah there was a lot of family with plenty more roaming around. "I hope you re both ready to begin."

Jonathan stopped mid swing as another approached and saw him lazily deflecting the rain or trying at least. He lowered his blade and deactivated it, reattaching it to his belt. "Ya, I guess you could say that." He looked around, still waiting on her and then turned towards him, "Names Jonathan Hex, you are?" He said holding out his hand.

As they were talking, his aunt walked up and began speaking to him about his family, "I don't really see Ari and Sia seemed good, but I don't see her ether." He thought for a moment and then started up again, "Come to think of it I don't see anyone most of the time. Guess I am flying solo in life." It was odd to Jonathan that even though he was never taken from his parents as a child and wasn't really a Jedi that he was so free and his parents seemed none interested in him. He wondered what that said about him, but then again he rather not get serious.

He was brought back to the planet by the invitation to begin. He simply nodded and waited for instructions.

"Aris." The Hellyn simply stated his given name, he had learned to refrain from using the usual introduction that was employed by his people. Furthermore, he shook Jonathan's held out hand and nodded.

Not long after, their Master had walked up by them and had utilized the Force against the rain which Aris found quite amusing and possibly implied her high understanding of the Force. The Hellyn was not at all developed in the Force although he was told that his people tend to have high potentials in it and possibly due to that he literally felt the woman's presence as a beacon of light.

She began a conversation with Jonathan and as of what he could understand, they were related. Literally, he was her nephew and Aris could see that they indeed had common features. He observed their little dialogue with a slight smile, it felt soothing a reunion between two family members. Afterwards, after Jonathan responding to her, she asked both of them if they were ready to begin.

Both Jonathan and Aris nodded in response to her question and anticipated her further guidance.

"Well I will make sure next time I see your mother she knows to see you. Don't know where your father is most of the time." She had been surprised at Jericho.. mostly because she had really know idea who he was from way back when. Secrets and some interesting plot twists but seeing them ready to begin. "Alright we shall start with what you both know to begin with. THe force is amny things but starting from the bare essentials is not always something needed."

Jonathan listened to the name given, "Iris?" He thought, it was hard to hear in the rain. He looked around them as the rain was stopped and realized how wet he was. He listened to his Aunt as she spoke about things they already knew. Jonathan knew very little making his style very crude, almost liek a street fighter.

He had been taught only the basics of the Force and melee combat, but his hand to hand combat was pretty good. He wondered what she meant and in turn he had no answer, a rare thing for him.

Aris was glad for sure that the lessons were not to begin from the pure basics and that Master Ike would take them a step further. Despite his calm and composed demanour he couldn't help but feel a little bit excited of the start of his journey as a Silver Jedi.

Nodding to Master Ike's explanation, he prepared himself for what she had decided to start teaching them with in order to advance their knowledge of the Force. Aris took a glimpse at Jonathan who also more or less seemed wondering over something but his body language looked of a boy was prepared for what was to come.

It all starts now.

Matsu watched both of them for a moment and then stepped back as she slid her sabers to the front. The twin blades ready for use as needed but she wanted to see what the two of them could do. "Alright we shall start, quiet your mminds and focus on the force to allow yourself to breathe in the force. Then I want you to project it outward to keep the rain from falling on you like this." The jedi master remained there for a momen as she focused and there was small impacts above that went down the small bubble of air being repulsed.

"Breath in the Force?" He had little understanding of the Force. Sure he could do Force Pushes and move things with his mind, but he didn't really understand how he did it. His training was extremely basic to the point that he really didn't understand much. As a result he just stood there awkwardly and breathing in and out slowly. He looked up seeing the rain being stopped, but didn't understand it all.

When Master Ike gave the first task for both of them, Aris noticed that Jonathan seemed a bit confused yet the Hellyn was not adept enouh to give him advice at all. Thus, he focused on doing what the Master had tasked them following her instructions. Aris assumed that he had to go a sort of meditational trance just like did with Jedi Knight Abaigeal but on a lesser level, where he would be aware of his surroundings and not be as static.

The Hellyn focused and despite his bad concentration skills, he felt more close to the Force and easier to tap it after his lessons by Abaigeal, yet he imagined stopping the rain and did not work. He pressed his mind harder on the task but it did not work then he changed his strategy. Aris imagined the Force as a power, as it really was, that did what he asked for. It was not demanding his mind to imagine the rain being blocked but delving further, using the mind to tap the Force. His success came for a very slight moment where a few rain drops stopped and deflected themselves into an invisible wall. The moment had gone as soon as it came, in the span of a blink of an eye.

Aris still felt a certain degree of excitement due making it work even for a moment. Now he had to try and make this moment longer.

She looked at her nephew and moved quickly, gliding across the ground more then running as she spoke taking a place next to him. "Like this." She movtioned for him to work on it. "Breathe in the air, hlold it in your lungs and allow the force to flow throughout your body. Your mother is very skilled with using the force to manipulate water and ice, your father is surprising. This is in your blood nephew and you'll find once you can feel the force the world is a little brighter." She could see the other padawan was doing it impressively and half of what she had said was there for him. He was feeling the force and being able to useit as she stood there. "There are items we have created for the jedi to help them feel the force stronger, promote calmness."

"No offense, but that doesn't really help, Aunt Matsu. Sure I can make things move, but that started happening before I can remember. Dad or mom were never around really growing up except for schooling and it didn't seem they wanted me to know the Force. I don't realy understand what it is." He was frustrated, the opposite of what he was needing to be. He was young and while he would never admit it, it didn't feel good when your parents showed little time for you.

He tried to do as his Aunt asked. He closed his eyes and slowed his breathing. He held it end and then tried to focus on the Force. The more he tried, the more his thoughts of his family flooded his mind. He felt like the outcast, there were so many of them yet he rarely saw them. In fact, in resent times this was the longest he had spent with a family member. He could not explain why he wanted to see them more, what teenage boy wanted to spend time with his family. Really, he just wanted to know who he was.
