SPECIAL FEATURES
When the Galaxy fell to chaos following the Gulag-Plague, many arms manufacturers sprung up while the corporations that forged the galaxy during the previous age fell out of prominence. The former big three, now also including Sonn-Blas, decided to reinvigorate their products with the Blaster Wars, with each competing to see which could produce the best and most powerful stock blaster pistol. Owing to SoroSuub’s desire for practicality in a weapon as they always have, the SSK-5 isn’t just an overcharged abomination of firepower, but is a practical, versatile side arm. It features a Microdart Launcher with needles filled with paralytic agents under the barrel, a stun function common in blaster weaponry, an electroscope for accuracy, stabilizer to reduce recoil, and a liquid cable dispenser.
SoroSuub built the SSK-5 pulling from their own old catalog of famous weapons such as the S-5, SSK-7, and Renegade Blaster pistols, and simply designed the best weapon for any situation, which its team felt would place them apart from the competition who would focus on firepower too heavily. The weapon is ergonomically designed to fit in either hand comfortably, the electroscope and stabilizer can be moved to either side based on the user’s dominant hand or mounted directly on top. The stabilizer helps steady the weapon in order to allow the user to fire it accurately at the longer ranges the Icon is capable of by altering where weight of the weapon is held so that it is more easily balanced.
In addition to the main weapon, SoroSuub built the Icon to come standard with a simplistic microdart launcher, using a safe to administer paralytic agent in the hopes of reducing allergic reactions found in some species or individuals. The paralytic causes muscles to lock up, leaving the target rigid, but lacks any kind of armor penetration. Some claims that even tough clothing is enough to keep it from piercing the skin. The liquid cable dispenser can be used to scale walls or in a similar manner as a whip-cord to restrain individuals, and the anchor can be fired into a wall after the cord is wrapped around a target.

- Admirable Fire Power: The SSK-5 Icon is the weakest firepower of the weapons built as entries into the Blaster Wars, however it maintains admirable strength, more than enough to kill stormtroopers and beasts encountered on the Outer Rim. Its comparable to some carbines, and is sometimes utilized as such by those operating the weapon.
