SSB 24HR AUCTION -- Silk Holdings and Sasori Research

Mrrew frowned at [member="Countess Xyhn"]'s bid. He had to have those plushies! Why? He had no fething idea. He'd probalby put them in the same closet as his Ke-Ni snuggle buddies, and his full holodisc set of My Little Ropo. But still.... he had to buy them.... for ridiculous prices, it seemed.

Sasori Plushies set I - 61,000
Sasori Plushies set II - 61,000
Kolcta geltabs - 10,000

*Wishes I was this rich in real life...*

Blueprints and non-exclusive production rights for the Washburn-class Medium Transport - bid 1,560,000

Blueprints and non-exclusive production rights for the Krell-class Cruiser - bid 10,460,000

For the first time in the auction, Mrrew browsed some of the bids on the other products. People were in bidding wars involving millions and millions of credits for production rights... while Mrrew was in a bidding war for plushies. Really put things in perspective.

Sasori Plushies set I - 61,000

It would appear that Mistah Ovmar was keen on getting the schematics her momma asked her to get. A soft smile would linger over her lips.

It was then that the empathic Companion would sense from [member="Jorus Merrill"] a wash of reminiscent emotion. With his bid on the Rebel Alliance ring, it was clear that this held a measure of fondness for the man.

It was for this reason that the Companion redacted her bid for the ring.

None the less, she would continue to train her empathic abilities and place other bids.

This only brought a small chuckle to her lips. Ever so carefully, as nonchalant as one can be, Saffron brought out her deck of Sabbaac cards and began to shuffle them. The Force would bloom upon the young woman of persuasion.

Practice makes perfect.

The Sith Lord looked over to Saffron and that lazy grin appeared on his lips, the same lazy grin that always marked the beginning of a stupid act made by passion.

...and so he whispered Saf's ear.

'Kiss me and I won't bid again.'

[member="Saffron"]

It would be at that instant that the black fishnet veiled blonde woman would inch closer.

"Is that so, Lord Ovmar?" she'd say in a throaty low hush, the Force rushing round her like a delicious waterfall.

It was then when she would hold out her deck of sabbacc cards to him, using them as a metaphorical wall, her eyes dancing with mischief.

"How about if we leave it to Fate, hmm?"

"230,000 credits for the Silkworm package."

She wanted the package for one reason only; to upgrade a ship down the line. She didn't know what ship she'd have, but she wanted to make sure she was prepared. Why? You never knew when you'd need a fast hyperdrive.

Irys was a bothan of practicality. Her lack of tact and politicking had led to serious trouble on her homeworld. She ignored everything else going on and worked through some figures on her datapad.
Irys had a number of freighters being lined up for release by HKD over the coming five year window. If there was one thing HKD – even in its current state – had a reputation for, it was reliable engines. There were several new models scheduled for limited release. Inside track on those and production at cost might be of interest.
  • Blueprints and non-exclusive production rights for the Krell-class Cruiser - 10,650,000 and – should HKD win the next support contract for the ACA Krell class, potentially the largest fleet of Krell class, HKD guarantee to a break-fix contract and purchase of all parts direct from Silk.
Irys knew she had the inside track on being able to get HKD supporting the ACA’s Krell. Support contracts were lucrative stuff, exactly why she had the capital to bid for the contract. However, just the parts carrying on through Silk and not a separate subcontractor would be worth a significant amount, relative to the purchase price. She was fast running out of capital, however.

Ovmar looked at the cards and hummed for a while, before he finally picked a card at random. No Force tricks, no attempts to figure out the card it anyway- simple gamble.

OOC/ d6 roll = 2

[member="Jared Ovmar"]

Saffron would watch with amusement as the Lord would pluck his choice. A lace gloved hand would reach out to take that card Fate had chosen for him.

Mirth would dance in her eyes as she would show him the Six of Sabres.

"The Six of Sabres...implies a journey's end." A small chuckle would bubble forth. "Perhaps... to this auction in itself?" she'd laugh lightly, as her face would near his to press a kiss upon the corner of his mouth.

"One kiss, m'lord. Granted."

...and the Sith Lord, in sync with the beat of the Force, would slightly turn his head just so that their lips would firmly meet. All the while a grin stayed on his face. But perhaps she would duck it instead, such things happened all the time.

[member="Jared Ovmar"]

Oh she'd grant him his kiss, but a noticeable devilry would shine in her eyes. Leaning back into her seat, she'd take the six of sabres back into her deck, only to shuffle them anew.

There were only a few more minutes til the auctions end, but she had a right fun time anyhow.

She wasn't the only one having a lot of fun. 'Least if ya looked at that annoyingly pleased face of Ovmar, once he retreated his face and gave her a wink. Then he pulled out his datapad, not to tweet to all his friends about this recent development, but simply to play a game. The Sith Lord was done bidding for today.

[member="Saffron"]

Thoroughly enjoying the pleased emotions from Lord Ovmar, Saffron would look at the on going bids. Time was ticking fast, she had to consider what she could use to match and go above and beyond the Bothan's bid.

From what she could read from the female, she was quite determined.

"I'll toss up 2,000 credits each for the inquisitor robes and the ESSEX visor Mk II."

Why? Simple. She had a little extra money to spend and you never knew when a piece of tech or a disguise might be warranted. In her profession, both could save your life.

[member="Danger Arceneau"]

With the auction nearing to a close, Saffron finally put in her bid. Who knew if she would win or not, but that will remain to be seen. Either way, the auction certainly was an enjoyable one, and she managed to practice more on her empathy and cartomancy.
