One thing that all of these responsibilities and missions require, however, is discretion. Namely, the discretion that keeps one quiet and stealthy while being prepared for nearly every eventuality. The Oriolanis Defense Systems SPS-25 sidearm takes that discretion and wraps it in a small but elegant package.
Providing an integrally suppressed sidearm to the SIA, this weapon fires subsonic bullets, making up for the loss of velocity by using superdense neuranium cores, capable of holding a large amount of energy and packing a punch more than capable of dispatching most enemies an agent might find themselves up against. Featuring a classy and elegant durasteel frame, this sidearm is prepared to take on the galaxy, not by storm, but with a Whisper.

While this doesn't make the pistol completely silent, this makes the slugthrowing sidearm incredibly quiet compared to other slugthrowers and blasters, the sound being close to an hard-to-recognize thud or bump than the telltale crack of a supersonic slug or the loud blast of a blaster.
- Husband your Rounds: The Whisper's magazine is only built to carry 10 rounds. This is mean to be used as a weapon of last resort by infiltrators and saboteurs, not as the standard sidearm of infantrymen or marines
- Expensive Ammunition: Though the slugs themselves only use a small bit within the core, Neuranium is rather expensive, and the slugs end up being about a credit for every round fired. This not only gives the carrier another reason to husband their rounds, but also makes the logistics of these pistols totally unsuitable for being produced at scale, for example for military formations.
