Spirit of the Wild

It had only been a few minuets since he had set foot upon the planet, but, already, Kaharak was ready to proclaim that Kashyyyk was the planet that he felt himself resonate the most since his leaving of his homeplanet. Though the trees were taller by a significant magnitude, the plains stretching out as far as the eye could see and the ever present heat were not present, both planets held the same sense within the Force for the Togruta.

Both were planets steeped in nature and had ling since resisted the 'modernisation', that much was obvious to the naked eye, but, what drew Kaharak to the planet and soothed his soul in a way that he had not experienced since leaving his home was how deeply that nature was intertwined with the Force, to the point that the planet itself seemed to live and breathe.

Breaking himself from his stupor, Kaharak shook his head slightly as he continued to pick his way through the undergrowth. When he had reached out towards Jairdain Ismet through the Order, having been told more than a few times that he and her specialisations within the Force were similar, he had asked if she would be interested in meeting with him to discuss her potentially aiding with his growth within the Force, to serve as a mentor in guiding him forwards. Having heard of the grand trees of Kashyyyk and wishing to meet away from the bustle of other people, Kaharak had asked if the Master would be willing to meet within him out among nature after she had instructed him to meet with her on the Silver Jedi's capital world. It was to this meeting that he now approached.

Taking the moment to cast his gaze down to the datapad by his side, the Togruta allowed a smile to stretch across his lips as the map displayed there showed that he was but a few minuets journey away from the coordinates he had been given. Turning off the datapad and stowing it within a pouch on his belt, Kaharak continued to trek forwards, his hands occasionally rising from where they were clasped in front of him to brush along a tree trunk or piece of foliage as he took continuously deep breaths; the freshness of the air a welcome smell.

Finally breaking through the trees to enter a clearing, Kaharak's mismatched gaze settled on the one he had come to meet. Thick black hair contrasted sharply against smooth pale skin, as the woman, looking a few years younger than his own tired 30 years, sat in meditation in the middle of the clearing. Reaching out through the Force, the sense of peace, relaxation and even faint anxiety, all of which was not truly his, washed across the surface of his mind as he gently brushed against the Presence of Jairdain within the Force. In turn, he opened himself up to her, letting her feel his own Presence within the Force clearly as he slowly approached.

Dressed as he was in the outfit he had worn back on his homeplanet among the tribe, Kaharak was clad in a length of material made out of thin, stitched together animal hides that hung from one shoulder and wrapped around him, leaving a good half of his torso open to the cool air. A pair of hide trousers could be seen emerging from where the wrap ended halfway down his legs and a pair of simple sandals adorned his feet. A number of necklaces hung from his neck, laying across the bared, orange and white striped flesh of his chest, many of them decorated with clay beads carefully painted, animal teeth and the feathers of small and large birds alike. At his waist, the wooden hilt of his lightsaber hung from his pouch adorned belt.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Jairdain Ismet." Whether or not Jairdain had opened her eyes upon his approach, Kaharak followed his habits and bowed slightly. "I am Kaharak Hyn. I believe you were expecting me, no?" Smiling gently and wildly while he spoke, Kaharak lowed himself opposite the Jedi Master, kneeling in a meditative pose as he waited for her to address him, lekku settling against his front and back as he did so.

There was a change that was going to happen with Jairdain soon. At a time in her life, she had been informally adopted by somebody. In reality, there was a formal ceremony to go through, in that, she would be changed. Become further in tune with the Force, stronger in some aspects, but even this had its drawbacks. If she were to get emotionally upset, it would alter the weather around her.

So in preparation for this adoption, she was spending more time out in nature. Connecting to everything that was around her, she rested sitting in the middle of a small clearing in the woods of Kashyyyk. Her arms held out slightly at her sides, her palms were upward and open. Welcoming of the life around her.

Being in touch with it all and opening herself more than she could have previously, Jairdain sensed the approach of Kaharak. Even though she was blind, she closed her eyes while meditating. It may not have been something she needed to do, but many others needed that outward sign from her.

Not only did she feel his approach, but his touch on her. He was in a way more peaceful than she was, but in others not so much. There was part of him she felt that was like that of an animal. That part of him was kept under control, but it was present and could be released if the provocation was there.

Before he had reached her, she opened her eyes and appeared to look at him. Her head tilted to the side slightly as his introduction and Jairdain nodded when he finished. He had taken a position in front of her and while formal, she didn't feel the need to be that way all the time.

"I am Jairdain Ismet. Welcome to Kashyyyk. I trust you did not have any issues?"
