SPECIAL FEATURES
Force Imbued
Bound with Dathomiri Magic

STRENGTHS
  • Imbued with the Force: The Armor is made of alchemized leather however its true power comes from being imbued with the force. The Imbuement makes the armor lighter than normal, more flexible and more durable including granting it a high resistance to lightsaber blows.
  • Aura of Protection: Senar Ahn-Dross has bound a 'Spell of Protection' to the Spellbound Armor granting it the same protections as the spell. Creating an aura around the wearer that mimics the effects of the spell causes energy and physical projectiles to deflect away harmlessly. Regardless of their strength most ranged weapons classified as small arms, etc will be unable to penetrate the aura. At a distance it's impossible to perceive the aura however closer to the wearer the armor seems to shed a faint silhouette of light indicating its true power.

WEAKNESSES
  • Low Tech: The armor is completely low tech, it has no systems integrated into it and hence cannot be relied upon for anything other than its intended purpose.
  • Impossible to Hide: Due to its Imbuement with the Force it is impossible to hide while wearing this armor. Force Users will inherently be able to sense the wearer no matter where they are.
  • Force Nullification/Suppression/Etc: Anything that nullifies or supresses the force takes away the meat of the armor. Without its Force Imbuement or the Dathomiri Spell bound to the armor it is only alchemized leather. Hence most of its high resistances will drop to average at best and its weight will increase, though not substantially.

DESCRIPTION
Spellbound Armor was the brainchild of Rel Ahn-Dross with the assistance of his sister, Senar. As a way to honor their heritage and their Dathomiri blood the siblings created low tech armor that, when bound with Dathomiri Magic made them incredibly resistant to harm. It suited Rel who revels in close quarters combat in comparison to ranged engagements.

Amongst the Mandalorians the siblings also had access to Beskar and the fabled Armor known as Beskar'gam however Spellbound Armor was also less intrusive, harder to identify unless the person looking was Force Sensetive. It was unobtrusive in comparison to heavier, bulkier armors but provided just as much if not outright greater protection.

The Armor is, in a nutshell Alchemized Leather which grants it some durability. The Leather is then imbued with the Force by Rel and finally bound with a Spell of Protection by Senar to complete the process. Once finished the Spellbound Armor appears of high quality and carries the silhouette of a vaguely translucent aura that hovers around the wearer, protecting them from harm.

Without the Force the Armor is merely alchemized leather, special for what it is but not exceptional. With the Force it transforms into a marvel many technological and scientific advances cannot hope to comprehend.

Simple and solid. About the resistances and ratings, your ratings are underpowered (-2). And I cannot accept this, in this form. Based on recent discussions, we no longer accept min-max resistance ratings. So please change them to be more balanced (so not just extreme-none).

I've added Slugthrowers as another slot for resistances to balance the armor. On that note with regards to Min/Maxing I'm not sure any other ratings would be appropriate. A Spell of Protection and/or Force Imbuement wouldn't protect against things like Sonic effects or Radiation. It's also Low Tech armor so it would have no protection against EMP though in the same vein EMP would have no affect against it for obvious reasons.

If you have any suggestions I'm interested to hear them.

The Slugthrowers is simple Kinetic resistance, so this is not good. The problem is that, it is clear to see the, the only reason is why you added the None resistances to the armour, to gain points for the Extreme ratings. And this is why this is obvious min-maxing. For example if you decrase the Extreme ratings into very high, and the none ratings will became only very low, or you delete some, that is good too. Yes, these armour are not against EMP etc., but here the average EMP also meaining that, this not protect you against the EMP, because there is no equipment in the armour, so not even neceesary.
