Strengths:
- Potent Defenses – Possessing a quadanium-lined, reinforced-durasteel hull overlapped by a star destroyer-level deflector shield, along with many other corresponding defense systems, the Myrmidon-class Star Destroyer possesses an array of considerable defenses, as opposed to a standardized reference of most star destroyers.
Weaknesses:
- Poorer Maneuverability – With the Myrmidon-class Star Destroyer, many of the thruster and ion drive engines and outlets are located at the stern-end of the vessel, giving it some decent speed, but in turn giving it poorer maneuverability, due to the unbalanced locations of the thrusters.
- Large Engine Size – With the engines designed by the native engineers of Eadu, the thruster drives in the stern region of the Myrmidon-class Star Destroyer are, oddly, quite large in appearance with all of the due technical intricacies and potency of a more standard-sized engine, rather than the technicalities being spaced out due to the engine's size. Due to the engine's broad size, this makes the engine-stern region an easier target.
With the exponentially-increasing rates of territorial gains of The Sovereignty, the vanguard of The Sovereignty, The Sovereign Navy, after careful consideration, has opted to commission their first star destroyer-sized vessel: The Myrmidon-class Star Destroyer. For the time-being and the foreseeable future, the Myrmidon-class Star Destroyer is intended to be the ship of the line for the Sovereignty, boasting of an array of potent defenses, such as its quadanium-lined, reinforced-durasteel hull, along so with its electronic warfare capabilities and point-defense systems. Being the first of its kind entails that The Sovereignty will be using less and less of outsourced ships, which means greater security for the union and those that operate on the ships. The ship, however, on the contrary to security, possesses ion drives and thrusters predominantly located in the stern-location of the vessel, rather than making the thruster systems more evened out, giving it poorer maneuverability than speed. Otherwise, the Myrmidon-class Star Destroyer is decorated in a variety of standardized features, such as its hazard and damage control systems, life support systems, navigational systems, sensors and targeting systems, communications systems, environmental control systems to control gravity, tractor beams, escape pods, and a holonet transceiver and encryption/decryption networks that coincide with the vessels electronic warfare capabilities.
