WHILE AIMING TO MAINTAIN FLEXIBILITY ON THE LINE OF BATTLE, IT CANNOT FIND ITS UNIQUE NICHE WITHIN IT AND STRUGGLES TO COMPETE WITH THOSE SPECIALIZED IN THEIR PARTICULAR ROLES.
The Partisan-class Frigate Carrier was initially not created with the purpose of supporting battle lines on equal footed naval engagements. The idea behind the creation of the Partisan was to develop a fast enough ship capable of pursuing pirates and overwhelming them with the number of starfighter squadrons it deployed. It was made to be efficient in the goal of the Sovereignty to consolidate their spread out thin naval forces across its constantly harassed by pirates star systems in Wild Space. The frigate carrier certainly covered the gap due to its multifunctional roles and flexibility but as the naval forces of the Sovereignty slowly began progressing into the next level - that of an organized, modern, doctrine-led Navy - the partisan served an odd purpose as a close support ship in the line of battle.
While the Sovereignty's Navy slowly progressed from the steps of a rag-tag naval force to which the Partisan excelled in, this frigate carrier would find its purpose as a jack of all trades ship in the beginnings of the formation of the Navy. Its future is obviously that of replacement and its refocus once again to its roots - protection of piracy but until then the Partisan-class Frigate Carrier will serve as well as possible the newly born nation in the wild, wild Wild Space.
