  • | Unexploited Resources |

GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION
  • | Gravity | Twice Standard Gravity
  • | Climate | Arid, few places on Ballus Prime are temperate or humid.
  • | Primary Terrain |
    • A majority of Ballus Prime is of vast, sandy deserts, punctuated by minor oceans and small grasslands. Its northern axis is a hellscape of magma pits while its southern axis is capped with thick, unmelting ice.
  • | Atmosphere |
    • | Type II | Not particularly friendly to those who enjoy Type I atmospheres, the gases that form Ballus Prime's atmosphere have been noted to cause irritation and discomfort to those not native to the planet.

LOCATION INFORMATION
  • | Capital Cities |
    • | Atami |
      • While not a city in the sense that most might expect, Atami is the name for the largest moving settlement that the Eidolkyn tribes have established, open to natives and offworlders. Named after one of the Temporus Dragons of the First Brood, Atami is a city of wealth and commerce, with strict laws regarding violence taking place within its borders. Atami has been established as the capital city for foreigners and offworlders to tour and experience and offers a bazaar-like atmosphere with the promise of wealth and prosperity to all who enter its borders.
    • | Bathaum |
      • Bathaum, unlike Atami, is a massive cityscape that was established by the early Drakyn tribes, and named after the other legendary Temporus Dragon. Bathaum is a city that welcomes only those of Barythian blood into its borders, and is highly prejudiced against off-worlders. Bathaum is regarded as the 'official' capital city of Ballus Prime.
  • | Planetary Features |
    • Massive, desolated ruins can be found jutting from the sands of Ballus Prime's deserts, indicators of an age where Barythians were not nomadic tribes. Giant chasms also decorate the planet's surface, milelong scars that stretch far and wide, the depths of which span even deeper beneath the planetary crust.
  • | Major Locations |
    • | Tarsus Shipyard | A massive drydock/shipyard that builds, refuels and provides repairs for the Barythian Coalition Fleet. It also has a number of neighboring starports to receive foreign ships for trade and commerce. The Tarsus Shipyards are one of the most heavily defended areas on the surface of Ballus Prime, with smaller detachments of the Coalition Fleet in orbit above it at all times.
    • | Barythian Fighting Pits | Scattered across the surface of Ballus Prime are a number of fighting pits that Barythians visit for sport. Here Barythians test their strength and skills against one another, or in more illicit pits, place saves and other exotic imports against each other in fights to the death.

POPULATION
  • | Native Species | Barythian
  • | Immigrated Species | N/A
  • | Population | Moderate
  • | Demographics |
    • | Barythian | Compose about 85% of the overall population that exists within the Ballus System.
    • | Immigrant Species | Compose roughly 15% of the overall population from varying races that immigrated to the Ballus System.
  • | Primary Languages |
    • Barythian Common Tongue
    • Galactic Basic
  • | Culture |
    • Depending on which Barythian tribe you visit, the culture and customs may differ significantly from the last. Drakyn tribes are heavily emphasized around strength, and often show their respect to those they consider worthy of earning it through trials of combat, though this respect is rarely given to non-Barythians. Eidolkyn are much more welcoming and hospitable compared to their Darkyn counterparts, and offer respect and civility to those who are equally capable of showing it in kind.

GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY
  • | Government |
    • Ballus Prime's government consists of numerous tribal elders that form some semblance of a democratic governing body, where universal laws and such can be agreed and voted on by the tribal leaders. This assembly meets every decade or so to discuss new policies and laws that govern all Barythians across the Ballus System. How each tribe governs and operates their individual settlements however is left to each tribal head/elders.
  • | Affiliation | N/A
  • | Wealth |
    • | High | Much of Ballus Prime's wealth comes from the vast stores of untapped wealth hidden beneath its surface, from fuel to precious minerals and metals, even the shed scales of Barythians are worth an exceptional amount. Barythian artisans are well known for their outstanding craftsmanship with jewelry and traditional weapons, making their products highly coveted by collectors and enthusiasts for more exotic wares. It's position along the Mara Corridor brings frequent traders and visitors to its surface, for those bold enough to deal with the Barythians.
  • | Stability |
    • | Low | Due to the nature of warring tribal factions, there is little stability when it comes to the politics of Ballus Prime. Outside of the universally agreed upon laws that were established by their elders, most if not all Barythian tribes have some form of issue with one another, and it is uncommon for those of Drakyn or Eidolkyn backgrounds to get along. Drakyn tribes especially are rather xenophobic and territorial, typically leading to conflicts with offworlders and non-Drakyn Barythians, whereas Eidolkyn tribes are more likely to be more accommodating and hospitable.
  • | Freedom & Oppression |
    • While most tribes are relatively free to operate and do as they please under the leadership of their tribal leaders, one Drakyn tribe led by an individual named Maugus, after the Warrior, has seen to unify the Barythians under an ironclad rule, waging war against smaller tribes and assimilating their numbers. Several coalitions of Barythian tribes have banded to prevent such a future from being realized, but their efforts are fast becoming ineffective in the face of a growing dynasty.

MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY
  • | Military |
    • Regardless of whether a Barythian is born as a Drakyn or Eidolkyn, all Barythians are trained from a young age to fight so that they may be called upon to defend their tribe and home should the need ever arise. Thus every Barythian is a capable warrior, though some may choose to opt for a more peaceful profession than others.
The Ballus System hosts a large and powerful coalition fleet that patrols its borders as well as planetary defense forces that maintain the peace and defend the plants within the Ballus system. The coalition fleet as well as the planetary defense forces operate outside the jurisdiction of any single tribal head, and instead operates under the authority of the democratic body with the sole intent of keeping the Ballus system and all Barythians safe from foreign threats. Much of the wealth that Barythians gain through trade and commerce are directed towards this military body, providing more advanced weaponry and technology for the coalition and defense forces to use. In contrast to the warring tribal factions, the established planetary defense forces and coalition fleet operate with the sole intent of peacekeeping and defense from external threats, and will not interfere in conflicts involving tribes.
  • | Technology |
    • | Galactic Standard | While their own technology may seem more archaic in design than most, consisting of blades, shields, bows, etc. their technology level is on par with that of Galactic Standard and still just as lethal. Barythians are also well capable of space travel as indicated by their coalition fleet and populating of the eight planets within the system.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Ballus Prime dates back to well before the era of the Old Republic, though it was far less civilized in its more primal days. Not much of Ballus Prime's early history has been recorded or survived through the years, though many legends and stories have been passed down through the generations that came well before the start of the Old Republic. The Ballus System was said to have been the home to massive, legendary creatures that once roamed its space freely, each taking a planet to slumber upon while Bathaum and Atami went into hibernation amongst the twin suns. Legend has it that a few drops of the First Brood gave birth to the Barythians who are descended from these legendary dragons, now the ones who live and roam the surface of Ballus Prime. Ballus Prime as myths would say is where the Temporus Dragon Dazaja, The Matron chose to slumber.
The earliest records of Ballus Prime indicate a grand civilization, rich and prosperous, upon a surface lush with vegetation and covered in ocean, suggesting that the Barythians were once an oceanic species, though there are no surviving records or accounts of this 'Golden Era' of prosperity. Much of Ballus Prime's history and records are based upon accounts during and following the 'Great Schism' that sundered the planet and made it the arid desert scape that it is now, scattering a once unified civilization into hundreds of smaller nomadic tribes fighting for territory and resources.
Ballus Prime since then has remained a rather barren planet, its surface plagued by constant conflict between tribes and dynasties all trying in various ways to unite the Barythians as a whole, though none have ever succeeded. Being rich in natural resources hidden deep beneath its dunes and buried in its abyssal chasms has made it quite the popular stop for traders and those seeking riches and over the years has opened itself (Or at least attempted) to foreign trade and travel, though few species rarely find themselves staying for long.

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • | Name | Temporus Dragons
  • | Designation | Sentient
  • | Origins | Unknown
  • | Average Lifespan | Unknown, speculated to be well over a few thousand years.
  • | Estimated Population |
    • | Semi-Unique | There are only eight Temporus Dragons known to exist in the Galaxy; Bathaum and Atami, and their children - Maugus, Vrael, Krotasa, Dazaja, Trava, and Ghodin, all of whom have been last heard to reside in the Ballus System.
  • | Description |
    • The Temporus Dragons are generally speaking rather unique from one another in how they are colored, though they do share similar physiology in some regards. They all possess four horns on their heads while the males possess more leathery wings and jagged protrusions while the females possess wings that look feathered in nature with a less aggressive appearance.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • | Breathes | Type I-IV
  • | Average Height of Bathaum and Atami | Twenty Thousand Meters
    • | Average Height of Children | Ten Thousand Meters
  • | Average Length of Bathaum and Atami | Twenty Thousand Meters
    • | Average Length of Children | Ten Thousand Meters
  • | Skin Color | N/A
  • | Hair Color | N/A
  • | Distinctions |
    • Each Temporus Dragon is colored
  • | Races | N/A
  • | Force Sensitivity |
    • | All | All eight Temporus Dragons have a strong connection with the Force, though it has never been documented or discovered by any other species.
Strengths
  • | Ancient Ones | The Temporus Dragons are an ancient and wise species, dating their origins to the beginning of all things within the Galaxy, having traveled through space before finally settling on the planet of Ballus System. They sustain themselves off the essence of life, and seem to grow.
  • | Living Legends | Temporus Dragons are impervious to any and all external forms of damage known to the Galaxy, from blunt force to advanced weaponry. Even their scales are capable of deflecting Class-D disruptor weaponry. Vibroblades, lightsabers, blasters, turbo lasers, and such are ineffective and will not harm them.
Weaknesses
  • | Temporus Claws | The only thing that is able to pierce the armored body of a Temporus Dragon is the claws of another Temporus Dragon.
CULTURE
  • | Diet | Omnivorous
  • | Communication |
    • Temporus Dragons are said to telepathically speak in an ancient dialect that is understood by their descendants and those with Barythian blood as early records have stated several Chosen throughout history were spoken to by them. Though they speak vocally, their words can be understood by foreign species through telepathy. However, the chances of a Temporus Dragon communicating with anything or anyone is slim to none as they tend to behave like a semi-sentient species.
  • | Technology Level | N/A
  • | Religion/Beliefs | N/A
  • | General Behavior |
    • Temporus Dragons having witnessed the rise and fall of numerous species and civilizations have grown callous to the affairs of those outside their own brood. They refuse to involve themselves with matters outside their own more intent on the observation and recording of history as time passes.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
[ Include a description of the species history here. If your species is genetically engineered or Sithspawn please describe the process through which they were created, by who, and why. Explain the various challenges encountered during their creation. Most galactic species will be quite old - include major events relevant to the species in how they evolved and developed into what they are today where appropriate. Including Chaos canon events, where they impacted the history of this species, is a plus. ]
AUTHOR'S NOTES
These are at no point to ever be used by anyone outside of being referenced to or used for any sort of story-driven purposes outside myself or without my express consent. It is strictly just for further fleshing out the Playable Species as added flavor.

"Giving a future to those who want to see it."

PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Commune with Previous Wearers
  • The Old Wall
STRENGTHS
  • | I Am With You Always | The __ was designed to allow the wearer access to the knowledge and abilities of its previous wearers as their essence and spirit is etched into the crystal of the ring upon attunement. The wearer is able to commune with the spirits of the previous wearers, invoking their knowledge and wisdom. Should one of the previous bearers be alive, the wearer is also able to telepathically link to them wherever they may be. Wearing the __ also allows the wearer to use abilities imparted on the ring by its previous bearers. The ring itself is indestructible, and protected from corrupting forces.
  • | The Old Wall | The abilities left by the previous bearers that can be accessed by the wearer. They are the signature skill of each wearer, and can be used without training or practice, at a cost. The Old Wall bears the burden of the powers being used, so that the wearer is not strained when using the __ .
    • Solidor Slane Solidor Slane - Lightshield
      • An application of the Force similar to that of Darkshear, though it manifests itself into a physical barrier using the Light. This ability can be used to create protective fields around the wearer or a designated target that is near indestructable and can be used to cut off access to areas.
WEAKNESSES
  • | Scorn the Unworthy | The __ is a powerful artifact of the Force, and as such measures have been put in place to prevent its power from being abused or falling into the wrong hands. Upon judgement, if the wearer is deemed unworthy of its power by the spirits that reside within the ring, the spirits within the ring inflict pain without equal on the wearer until it is removed. The powers within the __ are blocked to those deemed unworthy, though wearing and attuning to it can be attempted again if the bearer believes they can pass the judgement of the spirits within.
  • | Price Paid | The __ exacts a price upon its wearer; life in exchange for its boons a solemn warning to not abuse its power unless absolutely necessary. When the wearer uses powers of the Old Wall and not their own, they actively lessen their connection to the Force and pay years of their life are taken in exchange in the long term. The more frequent its usage, the heavier the toll. While the wearer may not suffer the exhaustion of using its abilities in rapid succession, they shorten their lifespan proportionate in the process. Excessive use of the powers of the Old Wall can cause the wearer to disintegrate into nothing.
  • | For a Brighter Future | The wearer upon accepting ownership of the ring must pay an extensive price to attune with the ring and be able to wield its power as well as impart their own spirit and strength within it for the next bearer to access. A decade that is proportionate to their lifespan is given as an investment to the future.
DESCRIPTION
The __ was made by Solidor Slane Solidor Slane as a way of passing down knowledge to help preserve the ways of the Force and to better enhance the abilities of the younger generations
Its powers are only usable once the wearer has successfully attuned themselves to the ring.
When placing the ring upon one's finger in an attempt to attune to it, time ceases to advance as the wearer is judged by the spirits that reside within the __. If the bearer is found lacking, they are inflicted with excruciating and unbearable pain for as long as they have the ring on.
=============================================================

OOC Note:// The __ as an heirloom artifact is meant to be passed down and added to as time passes by. As such the intent is for the next bearer of the artifact to take this submission in its exact entirety and add to it. In order to modify the submission for the future, the new submitter must provide proof of permission from the previous bearer of the submission and permission from the original creator Soundwave Soundwave / Solidor Slane Solidor Slane . The Affiliation going forward is to be made to the next character that is officially able to use the ring as intended.
A single power that would be defined as the wearer's signature ability is to be added to the Special Features section as well as | The Old Wall | using the same format. The same is expected to add a small addition to the Description section denoting how the current wearer came into possession of the ring and who it is intended to be passed down to.
( Soundwave Soundwave ), as the original submitter, also reserves the right to decide where the ring is found and by whom, should any of its future owners go poof from Chaos and/or become MIA. ( Soundwave Soundwave ), also reserves the right to have ownership of the ring be revoked if it is being abused or used incorrectly. Acceptance of this ring is to acknowledge in its entirety the costs as an addition to one's roleplay and not to ignore the downsides of it as trivial and expected to be used knowing full well the consequences of its extended use.
