TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Two-handed Saber
  • Size: Extremely Large (Active Blade- 1.76m), Large (Inactive Blade- 0.46m Handle)
  • Weight: Heavy (2.26kg/5lbs Handle)
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Any within proximity are capable of noticing the presence of this weapon in some way, even those that are not Force Sensitive. This effect is a result of the Sith Alchemy being used to manufacture it, though with that perception it can bestow an unsettling effect. Whether a non-sensitive feeling a sense of unease, or a lightsider feeling the effects of disquiet or even so far as thought disruption.
  • The handle and stabilizing rings feature Sith Alchemized Vardium Steel, making the handle icy cold to the touch as well as being surprisingly heavy.
  • The original artifact was said to be capable of destroying and corrupting everything near it. This imitation of the original is a pale imitation of similar capabilities. The wielder can be subject to negative emotions such as heightened aggression, anger, and even fear if not attuned to the weapon. These feelings can latch onto an opponent during combat given the aura it projects, and this effect can even go so far as to weaken a beings Force Connection with enough time. The effect however is temporary and can be combated by steeling one's mind through the force. As well, leaving the proximity of the effect will cause it to diminish over time naturally.
  • The final feat in the creation of this replica comes in the form of a rudimentary Battlemind ability while wielding the weapon.
STRENGTHS
  • Sith Alchemy - Vardium Steel and Frasium are not lightsaber resistant materials naturally, but forged with Sith Alchemy, they have become incredibly resistant to them. While not ideal, this does come with the caveat of weight, and heightening the effect of the chilly feeling from the Vardium Steel to a bone chilling cold.
  • Dark-side Aura - The byproduct of Sith Alchemy, the Souls Reflection radiates Dark-side energy near constantly, able to be noticed even by those who are not sensitive to the Force.
  • Force Activated - Citing old techniques used by the Force Hound's of the Infinite Empire using the dark side to activate the blade, the Souls Reflection cannot be used by non-sensitive beings, and those residing in the light suffer the chance for corruption attempting to activate the blade.
  • Battlemind - Even being as rudimentary as is it, the ability it generates allows the wielder to more acutely attune to the battle before them, fighting with more focus for an extended time.
WEAKNESSES
  • Unwieldy - Given the extended blade and the weight of the handle, tight corridors or passageways can create problems for the weapon, making attacks rather predictable.
  • Force Activated - While it does not subside on the Force to operate, ignition of the blade through the Force could prove the wielders downfall in Force Null areas. As well, any darksider who obtains the weapon can activate it readily, relying then on the icy-cold discomfort of the handle to ward off theft.
  • Backlash - While wielding the blade, the user can be subject to heightened emotional states, especially so during combat. Those not already steeped in the dark side could find themselves tumbling headlong down the wrong path with alarming ease.
  • Beyond Your Limits - The Battlemind ability generated through the weapon can easily fool one into their own demise if they do not pay attention. Pushing oneself beyond their limits and well onto death's door during pitched conflicts.
  • Dark Tidings - The weapon produces a dark side energy in a radius around the owner roughly 5-6m in length. With this in mind, the weapon can act as a beacon for locating the wielder, even by accident, potentially ruining any idea for stealth.
DESCRIPTION
At first content with her own run of the mill lightsaber weapon, this contentment was put to rest with the encounter of a Lightside Force User wielding a bow made explicitly of Lightside energy. Launching similar Lightside arrows that put Kurineth on the backfoot in fear of the harm they could cause. With a vested interest in not only her safety, but the possibility of turning the tables on such a strong Lightsider, she began to delve into the writings and knowledge Onrai made available to her to seek a means of doing just that.

A snippet of history catching her attention in the form of a dark side artifact that not only rebuked the Light, but sought to corrupt it.

Feeling that this was her best option, the dark side entity began her search for further knowledge on the item, leading her along dead ends and long cold trails in search of details for the weapon known as the Soulsaber. Eventually finding records of a battle the artifact was attributed to on Pamorjal. Even with a focused search of the Pamorjal Badlands, nothing directly led to further clues. Only after finding the Temples of Vormijj, which housed a partial map to the hiding place of the original artifact. Aside from the seemingly broken map, remnants of literature about the Soulsaber were scattered throughout the temples, giving Kurineth a better idea as to what the artifact was capable of.

A final examination of the Badlands steeled her desire to pursue the artifact. Piecing together the damaged map however proved worthless in the end, finding only an annoying cave with nothing to suggest where the artifact might have been ultimately taken to.

Frustrated by the outcome, Kurineth collected her thoughts before setting about the task of replicating the artifact rather than continue searching for a fruitless prize. She began combing the galaxy for suitable places to aid her efforts. Ultimately settling on the planet of Vjun for her endeavor. Gathering the final pieces of needed for the construction, she brought herself to the planet and began her search for the most potent point of connection the Nexus had, and began the process with little more than sheer will and pure stubbornness filling in for lack of understanding. Bending the Dark Side as needed to fuel her body and bolster her own powers, the processing of the metals and components finished after nearly a full day of effort.

Continuing the process after a day of rest and recuperation, the work continued on. The shell of the hilt was her first step, roughly shaped given the lack of skill behind the endeavor. While not often, there were occasional pauses in the process, to reheat the metal. A recess formed near the emitter during the process after one such pause in which she forgot where she had been focused. Once her work was finished and everything set in place as she wanted, the blade was engaged. Forming a rather elliptical shape while the core of the blade was a similar dark ebony at least part way through.

Her pleased demeanor wore quickly however as the ignited blade brought with it a sinking feeling of worry and irritation.

Her thoughts shifted to focus on how close her hand strayed to the blade as a way to combat the sudden surge of emotion. With so little used during the process, she had plentiful material remaining to work into two sets of Stablizing Rings. Playing with the ideas until she was pleased with the two prongs on either side, given the added help at wielding the weapon.

Content with her first attempt at creation, but disheartened at the depth of skill needed to produce similar effects, Kurineth set aside the replica to begin working on something else with her remaining materials.

Hi, I'll be picking this up as a trainee judge. Apologies if the process takes a bit longer.

First off, I just want to say that this is delving pretty far into crossover territory. While you've done a lot of work to 'star wars-ify' the weapon, this is still very much Magik's sword in many aspects. While I enjoy the concept, I think this needs more work.

Secondly, and this is a big thing, mobile Force Nexii aren't allowed, and in fact aren't even the realm of the Factory. While I understand the intent, this is a hard rule that the factory staff can't allow.

This looks like it's gonna require a decent rewrite unfortunately, and while I'm more than willing to offer advise and suggestions, this looks like it's gonna require a bit of work.

Not attemtping to argue a point but trying to clarify for my own sake.

It was created within a force nexus and was not intended as a mobile force nexus. As I'm undeterstanding it, it should not emit a dark side aura? Do I need to reword or altogether remove aspects of being produced within a force nexus? Thank you ahead of time.

The original image is fine yes, we don't usually police images, it's more the content of the sub itself that's the issue. That said,

An opponent directly facing this imitation can expect to feel the presence of the dark side regardless of their Force Sensitivity. Pouring her own vitriol into the production of the blade atop the Sith Alchemy, it presents an unsettling aura. Whether a non-sensitive feeling a sense of unease, or a lightsider feeling the effect of discomfort or even thought disruption, the imitation generates with whispers of the corrupting energy that creep back to even the wielder.

This wording is much too absolute. Same with,

The original artifact is capable of destroying and corrupting everything near it, while this imitation of the original features a rather feeble display of similar capabilities. The active user and those struck with the blade suffer subjection to negative emotions such as heightened aggression, anger, and even fear. As well, the blade can weaken a beings Force Connection regardless of their affiliation if successfully struck, though the effect is temporary.

This as well.

Remember that all attacks are determined by the opposing party, not you. Regardless of how hard you swing your fancy sword, the opponent is the one who tells you if and how it hits.

I'd personally just make those two abilities a bit more open in language, but other than that, I think you're good. auras strong enough to throw off light side users aren't an entirely new idea, and I think it fits your sub well, you just need to be a bit less absolute in your language.
