TECHNICAL INFORMATION
>Classification: Serum
>Method of Consumption: Oral or injection
>Average Life: If the user is inside a Force-null field, they will still be able to feel the Force and use Force-senses in a limited way, for up to three hours. Alternately, they can 'burn up’ the dose to take action, which ends all benefit quickly.
>Nutritional Value/Allergies/Side Effects/ Purpose: Drinking or injecting Soulburn Serum causes immediate, brief, and crippling pain, sufficient to prevent the user from engaging in any serious combat for at least ten seconds. A long period of repeated use will eventually cause seizures, debilitating nausea, or extreme physical weakness. This stuff is an emergency measure, not a lifestyle.

SPECIAL FEATURES

>Limited Force-null (ysalamiri, void stone, energy cage, Balanoro Force mite, etc.) resistance

STRENGTHS

>Allows reasonable use of basic Sense/Control techniques (e.g. danger sense, empathy, Tapas, toxin neutralization) inside a Force-null field for up to three hours.

>Alternately, the user can 'burn up’ the entire dose for a short burst of normal Force use (e.g. choking out some putz who thought he was safe in his bubble). They can do this any time within the three-hour window described above.

>Very handy for scaring people in the right situation.

WEAKNESSES

>Has no positive effect outside a Force-null field, but all side effects still apply.

>Force abilities gained by 'burning up’ the dose are generally restricted to personal range as reasonable.

>Causes immediate and debilitating pain, enough to prevent any serious combat for ten seconds. Crawling to cover or firing a wobbly shot would be pretty much it.

>Prolonged use has severe side effects, including seizures, crippling nausea, or extreme physical weakness.

DESCRIPTION
Soulburn Serum is a greenish drink, available in palm-sized leather bottles stamped with the AEI brand. Drinking the entire bottle is recommended. A sip, however, will still grant a few minutes of Force senses. Soulburn can also be injected.

Soulburn Serum, like Water of Life, is one of many derivatives of Nightsister spirit ichor. Spirit ichor is multipotent: a skilled user can make it into a variety of substances and fit any number of purposes. There is no more flexible Force-crafting material than this half-tangible Force manifestation. More importantly, as seen in the transformation and death of Savage Opress, a skilled user can infuse a living body with spirit ichor, granting incredible power and resilience at severe costs. The process binds energy to a body at an intrinsic level. Soulburn Serum relies on these traits.

Ysalamiri 'even out’ the Force in a small area to prevent other beings from sending or affecting it. At the end of the day, this area is only a Force effect like any other. Luke Skywalker, notably, spent years learning how to overcome ysalamiri effects. Nevertheless, for any given, unaided Force-sensitive, ysalamiri fields or 'bubbles’ pose an insurmountable obstacle.

The Mandalorian witches of Clan Rekali often work with void stone and voidsteel, and train under the influence of ysalamiri. Outcasts from the Mandalorian Empire, they are well aware of Mircin prison ships, Bral cloaked vehicles, armored nutrient frames, and other ysalamir deployment methods. For a variety of reasons, then, they turned to the master crafters of Akure Executive Interstellar. Overcoming ysalamiri effects is the holy grail of crafting, and once Clan Rekali folded in its own expertise, AEI delivered.

This is such a wonderful and thoughtful piece of serum with well thought out factors and very cool references to an awesome game series.

However I cannot rightfully accept a device/drug/ability that circumvents Force "killing" (or nullifying) effects. Those items and tactics are already extremely nuanced in their acquisition, can be countered in very specific ways that give them tangible weaknesses, and are there to create very specific types of RP.

However meager temporary Force sensitivity may seem on paper, in general all a FU would need in a duel is a few moments to turn the tables -even seconds would be enough to technically end a person relying on nullification tactics.

I am politely denying this submission and I hope you can understand my stance upon such a thing in terms of tech balance. If you feel differently please feel free to second chance the sub.

Thank you for your time,
--Major
