DESCRIPTION
Soul Brothers & Sisters was the name of the old cantina chain that Mariya used to run when she was still an outlaw with an Underworld cartel. On the surface, the cantinas were places were people could gather and drink. However, it was the means for the criminals to gather intelligence, to plot and to scheme their next raids. And hence business flourished, starting from one branch to multiple ones. However one day, the head of the cartel, an infamous pirate queen mysteriously disappeared. No one knew where she went, and that was the beginning of the downhill. Eventually the cartel collapsed, everything in ruins. Except the cantinas.

Mariya had learnt a thing or two from her years of running the business. Sure, her main role was to gather intelligence, but the cantina business also served as a front for the cartel to perform credit laundering and earning profits. The cartel might have collapsed, but the cantina operations was registered under a private limited company called TGU Pte Ltd. TGU, as a legal separate entity with no traceable ties to the cartel, survived even though the cantina branches closed down. The accounts were closed, but the credits remained kept in the banks.

The mercenary hung up her rifle for a while, deciding that she might as well retire. When her credits were running dry, she went to retrieve the credits tied to the private limited company but was rejected. As the legal owner of the company, she could activate the credits but the company had to run as a business again before the credits could be drawn. With her own bank account running low, she decided to spend her time opening up the company again. The credits were no longer required to finance a criminal organisation, so she could channel them into good use. She decided to build the company up using her experience in the food & beverage industry.

The company was officially renamed Soul Brothers & Sisters Ltd, and she got it registered under Kiribi's Business Act. With credits from the collapsed cartel and loans from Kiribi's government, thanks to the Collective's initiative to develop the economy, she listed the company in Kiribi's stock exchange. However, she kept ownership of the company by holding special stock options that only allowed her to vote and make decisions. Normal stock options were traded and sold on the stock exchange, but the special stock options were only held by her, giving her veto rights to all company decisions.

The company's business strategy was to expand beyond opening cantina outlets. Kiribi was a planet that specialised in technology development, so she decided to setup high tech breweries for beer crafting. The breweries would be duplicated in Arkania, an icy cold planet to produce new lines of spirits (hard liquors). Arkanians would sometimes drink such stuff to keep warm in the cold weather. Finally, she knew from her friend, [member="Marina DeVoe"] who came from Alderaan that it was a beautiful planet. It also meant that it was suitable to produce wine. So credits were poured into Alderaan to purchase existing vineyards and set up new ones. Wines would be produced under the original labels, just under new ownership. In the future, the company would develop its own lines.

RATIONALE
Mariya had access to the credits of an Underworld cartel before it collapsed. The credits were sitting there, unable to be used by her directly unless she could prove to the banks that the credits were used as part of the company's business. So she had to start the business running again in order to access the credits for business (and her own use). While she was planning her business strategies, Kiribi's government approached her as they knew her affiliation with the Collective. She was suprised by the Collective's focus on capitalism growth, which would allow her to gain privileged access to loans. Loans that could make her business go big, a business that could rival a Tier III company.

She was sick of having to worry about whether she would be able to find the next contract to feed herself. All the while, a huge collection of credits remained in the banks, sitting pretty but unable to be used. The conclusion was simple.

How could she say no to credits?

Modification Made: Request to add a new location to the existing tier 3 company, which currently only owns 3 locations and operations.

Adding Locations: Adding Coruscant as location (using existing tier 3 company capacity)

Rationale: A Tier 3 company is capable of having 4 locations and 3 operations as per company rules - "A Tier 2 company may begin with a max of three locations and operations" and moving up to tier 3 allows "One new operation OR one new location". The current company is tier 3 and owns only 3 locations and operations. This means its capacity is actually underutilised and I hope to able to retcon it into 4 locations. Coruscant is not far from the company's overall sphere of influence.

Great submission! Haven't seen any breweries in a very long time, the background and ops are colorfully written, and I'm very glad to see an in-character mention of a faction mandate. Happily approved.

Approved. Pending Factory Mentor Review.
