SPECIAL FEATURES

Multiple forms - Soren designed his lightsaber with a pair of forms in mind: a lightsaber greatsword, or heavysaber as some might call it, and a lightsaber halberd, based upon the lightsaber pike design. Heavy - Because of the strength required of the materials used to construct the weapon, it is heavy. Even though it theoretically could be wielded like a traditional lightsaber by changing the length of the blade and grip, to do so would be impractical in the best-case scenario for someone of average human strength.

DESCRIPTION

When the time in Soren's training came for him to construct his own lightsaber, he, as is typical for him, made an unconventional choice. Soren constructed a weapon that had two primary modes: a greatsword and a halberd. This is achieved by a telescoping haft for the grip of the weapon and a two-phase blade, allowing the lightsaber portion of the weapon to snap between the two lengths.

Because of the material strength requirements due to the collapsible nature of the haft/hilt, the weapon is fairly heavy, making fighting with the weapon more about leverage and weapon control rather than the speed and agility of traditional lightsaber combat, giving both an advantage and disadvantage by being an unfamiliar weapon to fight against but also not having a well-established school of training to draw experience from.
