..:: Special Features ::..
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  • Breakdown - Unlike the Tau Rifle Mark I, the Sporting Blaster is capable of being broken down into a handful of parts to be more easily carried in the matching carrying case. When broken down, the Sporting Rifle is split into the following components; Barrel, Primary Central Piece, Stock, Targeting Scope.

  • Ergonomic Grip - The weapon is designed with the needs of many species in mind. The placement of the trigger, and rifle grip are done in such a way that species without the standard five digit hands can still fire the weapon. This means that a Geonosian is just as able to wield the weapon as a Human is (provided they are properly trained in its use).

..:: Strengths ::..
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Breakdown - As mentioned above, the weapon is capable of being broken down in four component parts for easy of transportation. Each weapon comes with a matching carrying case for the weapon to be stored in when it is broken into its four component parts.

  • Stun Setting - Unlike the Tau Rifle Mark I, the Sporting Blaster comes with a built in stun setting.

..:: Weaknesses ::..
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Unwieldy - As the sporting blaster is designed off of the military Tau Rifle, it is still unwieldy, meaning that it is more suited for longer ranges rather than short. However, internal inhibitors mean that it lacks the same firing range as the military version.

..:: Description ::..
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorenn-Syrush Industries took great pride in its Tau Rifle Mark I line, and after contemplation, debate and redesigns, they have released to the open market the Sorenn-Syrush Industries Tau Sporting Blaster for the civilian market. The weapon carries over a great deal of design, size, and handling as its military cousin though with less range and an included stun setting. However as it shares a similar design, the weapon is still just as unwieldy as the military version.

To mitigate its range, the weapon includes a series of internal inhibitors that lower the power of the blaster bolt, and thus limit the range of the weapon. This though has seen some individual find a means to otherwise circumvent these inhibitors, giving it the same firing range of the military rifle. However, this work is often tedious and dangerous, due to the fact that if it is done wrong, the weapon can either backfire, or otherwise explode in the individual's appendage when fired after the modification has been made.

You can remove the Detailed Special Features field. It's been phased out. :)

Do that and you're golden.
