Rationale: Ilaris’ family; the Illustrious House of Sonn, had for the most part of history ran the company known as Sonn-Blas. As Ilaris was the next in line to the companies chair upon his father’s death he claimed his title and rights to the company, it’s governing rights and the funds that came with it. His ownership cemented his lines claim on the company that had come under scrutiny under his father’s ownership.
Claims were made that Grigor Sonn, Ilaris’ Father had laid claim to the company, which had been quiet for centuries by stating that he was a descendant of the Sonn Household, a construction house that had since the Darkness and Gulag Plague been considered cut.
At first Grigor only had his word to the claims, but began to trade under the Sonn-Blas holdings despite these theories. Although as time went one more evidence began to surface, Grigor’s birth records appeared out of the blue from a small planet on the Outer-Rim, a small detail stating that his records did indeed connect with those of the last known member of the Sonn Household.
Deeds were presented, yet any who attempted to legally witness these claims either never went through with the desire to see them or disappeared shortly after pressing the matters.
The truth died with Grigor however, who passed everything on to his son in every legal way possible assuring that even those who claimed otherwise could never question his sons ownership of the company.

Description: Sonn-Blas, short for Sonn-Blasters is at it’s core a weapon development company, originally funded for the creation of weapons some time after the Battle of Endor. However as with much of the galaxy Sonn-Blas faded into memory and eventually disappeared all together as the 400 year darkness took over the known population.
It was refunded and launched by a late descendant of the Sonn family in the early 800ABYs and with it’s relaunch came a new direction.
While Sonn-Blas would still concentrate on weapon design it would do so for the public market, launching a range of easy to use and cheap to buy personal fire-arms for the every day citizen.
The line succeeded and financially Sonn-Blas came roaring onto the scene with vengeance.
Soon stores began to open in heavy population districts selling Sonn-Blas items which had moved onto Civilian vehicles and starships as well, their lines catered for the everyday person of the galaxy as well as a luxury line for the higher up members of society. It was said that you weren’t anybody if you didn’t own a Sonn-Blas luxury speeder.
The coming of Ileris Sonn saw the company take a stark move to the right. While publicly Sonn-Blas was seen as the company it always was the core of it became attached to military contracts, weapon design for a new era of warfare in which credits ruled and starships were the main currency.
By funding the military elements with the public sector profits Ileris was quick to gain what he needed to secure private military deals, creating simple and cheap armour and weapons that could be mass produced and dispatched in hours rather than days. He expanded the factory floor of Sonn-Blas by sixty percent and soon had even constructed Sonn-Blas Shipping Yards in the orbit of Rothana.
As time goes on Ileris has his plans.
He just needs the contracts to get them and during war…contracts are a plenty.
Subsidiaries: As a Tier 2, Sonn-Blas cannot have subsidiaries.
