Special Features: Ergonomic form makes the weapons easy to use, ghost ring sights allow for rapid target acquisition, select fire switch allows pistols to be used in either semiautomatic or full auto fire modes, microprocessor monitors weapon's performance and allows the user to tweak everything from trigger pull to rate of fire on auto.

Strengths:
  • Lightweight, easy to use design allows the customer to maximize effectiveness.
  • Since stun bolts use less power than full strength blaster bolts, the integrated power cell/gas canisters in the magazines are able to get off 70 shots before a reload is required.
  • Use of magazines instead of standard separate power cells and gas canisters makes reloading a breeze.
  • The integrated laser dazzler uses a strobing green laser to blind and disorient targets without causing permanent vision damage.
Weaknesses:
  • Stun bolts are dramatically less effective on armored targets and beings with stronger constitutions.
  • Length of the pistols makes concealment more difficult than a subcompact design.
Description: Though RCFC doesn't typically deal with nonlethal weapons, we do take custom orders for stun blasters.

This set of matched pistols is designed to be as user friendly as possible, since a customer intent on using nonlethal weapons in a warzone will need every advantage they can get. The pistol features ergonomic grips that make the weapons feel like an extension of the user's arm and easy to use ghost ring sights that allow for rapid and accurate target acquisition. The built in microprocessor records performance data, and allows the customer to tweak just about every aspect of the weapon, from trigger pull to rate of fire on full auto.

For situations where the stun bolts might not be ideal, the pistols are also fitted with laser dazzlers. The dazzlers use a strobing green laser to blind and disorient targets without proper eye protection. And while certain types of eye protection might dim the beam enough to prevent the blinding effect, in some beings, the strobing can still cause nausea and disorientation. Also, even against targets with no eye protection whatsoever, the green laser doesn't cause permanent vision loss.

The use of RCFC's proprietary blaster magazine system makes reloading simple. Instead of having to keep track of both remaining charge in the power cells and the blaster gas canister, the magazines incorporate both in a single unit. The power cells are designed to be recharged rapidly, and the gas canister can easily be swapped out for a new one, meaning that the magazines are reusable. However, doing so under fire is not advisable. The customer is better off carrying enough spare mags for the situation at hand, and waiting until after the fight to reload them.

Despite all the neat features built into these pistols, they're still stun weapons. Stun weapons are almost always going to be less effective than lethal weapons. Larger species, such as wookiees, might take multiple bolts to put down, and an enraged wookiee can cover a lot of ground before it's dropped. Furthermore, there's no such thing as a truly nonlethal weapon. Though stun bolts are relatively harmless, multiple hits on smaller beings might cause permanent nerve damage or even death, and beings with cardiovascular disorders that require pacemakers might also find the bolts lethal.

That said, for a customer determined to do no (lasting) harm, these pistols represent their best chance to live up to their ideals while still keeping themselves safe in a violent galaxy.
