Somewhere he did not belong

It was the last place Sargon really wanted to go but if he wanted to know how to combat against force user he'd need to learn against a force user. So it was that Sargon found himself wandering about the area of the Pit. It was to his understanding at least where the force users came to train themselves in their combat arts. He felt uncomfortable with the entire idea of coming here, but without doing this he didn't feel he was effective enough on the battlefield. In all truth it wasn't possible for him to stick out more.

He wore full Legionnaire battle armor helmet included with the emblem of the 121st Legion. Strapped to his back was a heavy phrick shield it's face a dull black with the emblem of the 121st towards the bottom and in the right top corner a small picture of Iridonia. On his right hip was his well used blaster rifle and strapped to his left a new vibrosword still unmarred from the factory. He was very close to the text book definition for a beacon of trouble.

He was in an area he didn't belong as a legionnaire, and he just hoped he'd find someone who wouldn't think him a fool. The truth was simple there were just too many force users out there, and too many lightsaber swinging nut jobs to ignore the fact he needed some combat training against such opponents and this was the place to find them. He was not looking forward to walking up with bruises, but he'd learn to live with that long ago. His father had trained him in the Iridonian martial arts every day until he died, and Sargon continued to practice them every day. So at the very least his body was in excellent shape and he knew he could learn a new fighting style.

Tarika had woke early this morning to get some routines done with her schedule of gymnastics, sprinting and other work outs...as she walked into the pit she wore a tight fitting outfit suitable for an iridonian zabrak athlete and wore her usual sbaerstaff on her hip, as she walked into the training arena she took off her jacket and placed it on a nearby bench and revealed her form fitting armorweave turtle neck tank top, as she walked to the center of the ring she noticed the other zabrak in the room and smirked at him.

I see you're here to work out as well, or have you come for other reasons? it was sort of a test to see how he would react to it, not necessarily a test but a test nonetheless, as she seated herself she started with meditation and relaxed her mind, body, and soul.

Sargon was pleasantly surprised to see another Zabak be the one to speak to him. Judging from her facial tattoos she was most likely from Iridonia or at least her family had been. If she was Iridonian he couldn't really have asked for much better luck. “I'm here to train. I've found on the field the number of force users are increasingly prevalent. As such I'm here to grow stronger and learn how they fight so I may counter it.”

He paused for a moment as he weighed the situation out. He'd tire vastly more quickly then she would, but his entire body was covered in armor and always would be during battle. Uniforms deviations were not allowed within the legion, and so he was stuck with the heavy armor and the additional weight of his shield for now. “I am Optio Sargon Vynea of Iridonia. If you have the ability or time I could use some sparring time. If not I'd appreciate if you could show me where I couldn't find someone.”

She smirked at him and finished with her meditation while he ended his speech and then rose, she was up fr sparring and since it would be a good time for such an event she needed the work out.

As she rose she used a more kindly manner of speech Well you're in luck since sparring would be best for you to learn to combat a force user she said and then walked over to the sparring ring and waited for him come now, I won't bite she joked and waited for him to join her.

Sargon surveyed her slowly his face hidden beneath his helmet, just one among many. It gave him strength, for he who fought alone died alone. Reaching back he took the phrick shield off his back and strapped it to his arm. It was a good size shield and while held in front of him covered his entire torso area. With his right he unsheathed his vibrosword and approached the Zabrak.

It was easy to see just from looking at his he wasn't quite sure how to approach combat against a force user but his body did go into a good ready stance. He'd trained most of his life with his father in the martial arts, and that included weapons training but this was his first time using a shield.

Tarika used ranged combat methods and strategy so for him to combat her he would need to get in close since her skills in close quarters were very bad, and so she started it off with a lesson speech First off, I know you're used to combating NFU soldiers... but for an FU you really need to allow yourself to grow beyond your limitations and allow your mind to stay focused on the target she said and used force speed to get past her opponent and stood behind him Secondly expect the unexpected and third we're just as fragile as you are, we are not gods and we can be taken down by the "mere mortals" of everyday society

she then entered her ready stance and gave him a wry grin and then let out a spark of electricity that soared right at his leg, he gave her an opening to take out his leg one he would be wise to cover up next time with some type of armor, better armor.

He dropped his shield low to try to cover his leg but wasn't used to the movements yet and couldn't reach in time. The legionnaire battle armor did manager to take most of the energy up in the armorweave. He moved his stance to drop his sword slightly to the right and relaxed his muscle keeping himself balanced on the balls of his feet. There was a slight pain in his leg but he could ignore it. There wasn't time for such things in battle.

His mind remained calm letting go of the jitters he had at this new type of combat. His mind was clear of all thought relying on instinct as much as strategy. Bringing himself in closer he feigned with his sword before moving his shield arm to bash the heavy phrick metal into his enemy's face.

Tarika knew what he intended most likely before he even knew it himself, the force spoke to her in ways unimaginable by an NFU so when he came in close she backed away a tad and then snapped her fingers to make a flame over her hand, it was such a dangerous thing and then she smirked at him Ignore pain, it is merely weakness leaving the body...transcend above the physical and mental limitations and grasp the never ending flow of pain resistance she spoke trying to help him learn how to deal with a force user since a lot of them, including jedi, would inflict pain on their enemies as a rouse to win a war or battle.

Sargon was surprised at the flame around the woman's hand. It didn't surprise him what a force user may be capable of. He wasn't sure if that flame hurt her, but even if it did he doubted it would mutilate her hand. He listened to her words, but even as he did he examined her stance for any sign of weakness or lack of attention.

Noting that surprise hadn't worked he switched to a different tactic and decided he'd try a quick constant series of attacks. Bringing his sword up he moved his shield up in front of him and turned his side to his enemy to give them a limited target. He decided he would start circling to her left and then just as suddenly came in swinging from the right towards her torso. He knew she would find a way to evade the point was now to study it. To find a way to understand how she would evade and which direction.

When he circled her she stayed put and watched him with her eyes and then when he came into strike she shot fire at him trying to force him backwards and then turned toward him and kept the fire raging around her own hand, she kneeded to find a way to teach him how to duel against a force user and win but this wouldn't work too well so she jumped toward him and came at him with a spinning roundhouse and closed the distance quickly.

Sargon raised his shield up before him to take the heat of the fire. Keeping his eye on her he smiled in his helm as he saw her foot moving towards his head. Lifting his shield up to cover his head he dropped to a knee and swung straight out with his sword towards her stomach. She was in motion now and he would use that momentum against her.

soon as she was in motion she flipped and landed in back of him and tore her saberstaff off her belt and snapped her fingers sending fire up her arms and over her chest... the flames covered those parts of her body like armor and she activated her lightsaber with a silent snap-hiss and then smirked at him and twirled the weapon in her arms while activating the second blade, she was not one to take too kindly to cheap shots and now she would teach him a lesson in survival.

Sargon spun around using his opposite leg to push him around as he moved his sword to follow her movements. Watching her ignite in flames he said nothing and stood taking a step forward in ready stance still he watched her. He watched her eyes to find where she would strike, looked for hints of motions in her arms, shoulders and hips. He watched the two ends of the ignited saber and kept his phrick shield at the ready. He would let her come to him, and conserve his energies.

She continued to twirl her saberstaff and then spun on her heel and brought her saber around for a hellish swing and swung it into the shield testing the materials of the device, it was sturdy and lightsaber resistant good to know she thought to herself and then twirled her saberstaff again as she got into her own stance and then swiped upward forcing the shield to spark from the blunt attack of her weapon, she then stepped back and brought her saber against the shield stabbing into it trying to force them shield to break down and force him to react to her attacks.

He remained relaxed while he she attacked his shield. Once he decided she was dedicated to the jab attack he twisted his shield pushing both the shield and arms to the far left. Taking he open opportunity he stabbed at the Zabrak's flame covered chest. He wasn't sure if that flame would actually serve as any type of armor but it was time to find out.

The flames were not armor but what was underneath it was, all of her outfits and clothes were made out of either shimmersilke, nylon, mesh, or leather and all of them had armorweave in them...every single last bit of the fabric was designed with armorweave so his blade wouldn't do much.

As he stabbed her chest she smirked at him and leapt away and then came back down sending a force push into the ground and sent a wave toward the male zabrak, she was already liking the duel.

He felt his blade make contact as she slipped away. It might only be a scratch but it was something, and he'd take it. As she landed he felt the pulse of energy he sent out. The push was enough to send him back off his feet. Keeping the backwards momentum he rolled over his back onto his feet and sprung up facing his enemy. He had some distance now so he reset himself back into a ready position and watched his opponent.

He thought about pulling out his blaster to send a few aims shot at he but he'd need to drop his shield to do that and so far it simply been to useful to drop. Either way he made a not to possibly take some time to study a throwing weapon.

Tarika had sent a wave at him that barely did anything but he did just as she had expected him to and then soon as he was in his ready position she smirked again and twirled her blade while walking toward him, she wasn't expecting armorweave to be so flimsy against blades and so she needed to readjust... her chest was cut and she had blood trickling down it, as she came toward him she twirled on her heel and sent a spark at him again soon as she came around just to see what he'd do.

Sargon simple let his shield take the energy in of the shock. A full stream of lightning would have been too much for the shield block out but the single shock it took with ease. He simply watched his enemy and waited, the calmness of his face hidden behind his armor. He paid little head to the small wound on her chest he doubted it was would slow her in anyway. He needed to think of some new methods at a distance he was unable to attack without giving up his weapon, or shield.

He decided he might take a lesson from some exotic armor types. Maybe a wrist blaster would be possible with this armor or he'd simply take up something as simple as knife throwing.

(LOL!)

Tarika then cast him a glare and decided on a new approach, something she had never done before but heard it had what she needed to get him combat ready, it was an older sith technique known as Dun Moch.
Why have you come to the fringe...? is it because you are too weak to fit in elsewhere, too inferior that you think you could fit in here? she was trying to get him to show anger, which is a tool.
