Something we need to discuss (Loreena & Caedyn)

"I'm not forcing you to stay here" Veiere replied with a resigned tone, "You're free to come and go from the Judiciary as you please" he elaborated. "This was my last stop before making my way to Roche. The Silver Assembly has me under assignment there, but I wanted to take the chance to see you and your brother first" the details of his assignment weren't something he could discuss with his Daughter, but it had been enough to give him the instinctive need to see his children first and try to prepare them both for what was to come.

Veiere soon moved to push himself to his feet, shifting and soon pushing the chair back in against the table before turning to look upon [member="Loreena Arenais"] once more. "I know this is all a lot to take in, Lori. You're old enough now, you don't need your Mother and I babying you or your brother...-But we both love you two, very dearly" Having this kind of conversation with his Children had been bloody difficult, though he'd done his best to keep himself composed so that they didn't see the emotion that was boiling beneath his skin. The inner conflict that he kept buried within himself, the pain and confusion that accompanied going to war against his own Wife and those she seemed unwilling to let go of.

"No matter what happens, you and your Brother are our greatest triumphs in this Galaxy".

After [member="Veiere Arenais"] got to his feet, Lori walked over to him and wrapped her arms around him tightly. Just as when she was there for his trial after Deneba, she wasn't sure if this was going to be the last time she'd see him or not. It scared her so much during battle iver Commenor and she had seen the Resolute get torn in half.

"I love you too Dad. Both of you." She shut her eyes tight as her emotions threatened to spill over again, her voice becoming just a whisper. "Be safe...May the Force never leave you."

Giving him one more final squeeze, Lori broke the embrace and walked away to exit the meeting room. Unlike her brother, she kept her pace calm and even. That was all due to her efforts of trying to keep it all together.

Arla was waiting in the hanger next to the Jaster's Sparrow as Lori was escorted back. She didn't say anything. The look in her Captain's eyes was enough to get her to refrain from questions. Instead she just walked inside after Lori and up to the cockpit to prepare her for flight.

Hopefully her family wouldn't be broken apart forever.
