ABOUT HER:

She has long dark red hair and crystal blue skin that shimmer slightly in a pearlescent manner when the light catches it. She has a toned athletic figure. Her blood is steelblue. She tends to wear outfits on the more revealing side as she likes her skin to breathe and catch the sun.

She is calm, balanced in the force and pragmatic. Everything she sacrificed to get to the force has made her feel she has earned her spot in it so is quite content with her new life.

She finds saber combat very natural and almost a form of meditation. Like all jedi (should) she prefers to avoid unnecessary combat so while subterfuge is a little dishonorable, if she can use guerilla tactics to defeat a foe without bringing them to a full pitched battle, she will.

She is otherwise very kind and compassionate of others, but does not mourn their passing into the force.

STRENGTHS:

Icarii Physiology - Icarii are notoriously difficult to kill, being able to survive and regenerate from dismemberment including full decapitation. Destroying the brain can completely kill them and any regeneration will occur only from the parts of the body attached to the head.
Mandalorian heritage - from ages three to seventeen she was a mandalorian and while not a good mandalorian, she still spent a lot of her life learning their tactics and combat abilities. She is a trained marksman, but doesn't like guns, she is Beskar'gam proficient, but despises wearing her armour and her family specialised in guerilla tactics, she still uses that skill.
Jedi - She is a Jedi, she trained in secret as a teenager and in earnest as an adult, she knows a couple of saber techniques preferring form V as she goes. She is also a capable force user.

WEAKNESSES:

Dar'Manda - She turned her back on her kind and now sees their culture as part of the problem in the galaxy. She still wears her clan name to honor the family that saved her from a slow death in space. If anything, continuing to use her clan name makes true mandalorians like her even less.
Old school jedi - She prefers sword combat as it allows her to feel more connected to the force while in combat and feels more civilised, meaning she might not take more tactically useful combat options. She also tends to try to avoid forming strong connections with people which can make her feel a little antisocial.
Childhood phobia - three year old Solene spent two months in a derelict ship surrounded by the dead, surviving on food stolen from a slaver's kitchen. She prefers not to admit it but she has never managed to close that emotional hole and feels anxious alone in a large space craft or even a ground structure of similar style. She has gotten good at controlling it though, but its still there as a chink in her armour.

BIOGRAPHY:

Solene Beroya knows a lot about her finding as her “parents” reminded her of it over and over again as she began to walk away from the creed. She was found aboard derelict slaver vessel that had been involved in a skirmish with the sith. The entire crew had been killed or captured and most of the slaves rounded up and taken away leaving the bodies of the deceased to drift through space. Solene was among the “deceased” or so the sith had presumed, but due to her unusual physiology she survived the otherwise cagastrophic injuries and awoke to find herself alone. The tiny child less, than four years old drifted like that for two months, setting up camp in the crew galley and surviving off their food. Ironically she put on weight while marooned, picking only the tastiest pirate treats.

Then the clan found her while returning from a mission and without any known identity, a young Beroya couple adopted her as their foundling and their child.

She grew up learning the way of the mandlaorians and it quickly became apparent she was also force sensitive. Unfortunately she wasnt like the other children, she never enjoyed wearing her armour and felt more are peace in nature than at the gun range.

She argued a lot with her father over matters of Mandalorian creed, of the Enclave's nature and what drove them to conquest. There were parts of her that worried that her kind were a destabilising influence in the galaxy. Her parents bluntly told her that the only destabilising influence was her.

This worsened in her teen years as her force connection grew and she began sneaking off to study the force under several sympathetic teachers. Her dislike of her armour grew stronger as she felt that every time she placed her buy'ce on she felt blindfolded to the force. The Mandakarla tried speaking to her to tell her that she could be both, but even their teachings fell on deaf ears.

The final straw came when she was seventeen years old and she finally came to her verd'goten. She told her parents and tutors that she could only do it if they allowed her to do it unarmoured as the Jedi she was becoming. They gave her an ultimatum, do it their way, or not at all. She could become a full mandalorian or she could walk away from their creed as a dishonored.

She made her choice.

Forcing herself into their box would eat away at her and she could only see darkness for her in that future. So she packed a bag and left her home. She was sad that she was now considered an outsider to the parents that had saved her and raised her. She was heartbroken that her mother didnt even hug her or shed a tear as she boarded her small starfighter and left Kestri for the last time.

It would have been very easy for her to cling to that connection so tightly and return home and during the first few years as a jedi nearly did. But the jedi helped her learn to detach the connection, to thank her parents for everything they had done for her, but to free herself from her obligation and just be true to herself and to to the force.
