So We Have the Same Girlfriend...

Nemene sat within small cell in the Jedi Temples lowest reaches on Coruscant. Durasteel and mesh lined the walls, forming a force cage. The Queen of Rattatak sat on a small metal cot within the cage, her clothing nothing but a black gown that normally for her would be considered nothing but rags. Her hair was a disheveled knotted mess and her eyes seemed weary, as if she had not slept in days.

She sat upon the bed with her knee's to her chest, and her chin resting on her legs, giving off the air of an innocent little girl.

The grandest of lies.

She waited patiently for something to happen, she had been waiting for days now. She knew that eventually the Jedi would come for her. They would come to speak, come to interrogate her, or maybe even come to redeem with her. That last thought gave her a chuckle. It resounded slightly within the empty cell. As if such a thing was an option.

Her meager senses in the force were useless within this cage, she could not see out beyond the walls. Yet she could still hear.

Boot steps resounded out in the hallway, loud rhythmic clanging on metal. She smiled, someone was finally coming.

Sopher walked down the hallway preparing his mind the best he could for what he was about to do. He needed to speak to the other one that was with Evelynn at the slave trade, he needed to know who she was and why she was with Evelynn. Was she the source, the real source to Evelynn doing what she had been doing? Even though as a Jedi he needed to mind his emotions he couldn’t help it when it came to Evelynn, he had given her everything he had and without what else was there? Sighing softly, he took the steps down towards the prison and found his resolve once again.

Stopping he stood before the cage that held the Sith woman, narrowed hazel eyes peered through the bars as he examined her. At first glance, she would just be a normal girl and one would assume she was scared to be in a prison belonging to the Republic. The boy knew better though, he had heard the rage and felt the wave in the force that crashed when she finally surrendered to the Jedi. He wanted to rip her apart, end her existence and free Evelynn of whatever their bond was.

But he didn’t, he stood there looking at her trying to figure out what went wrong with her, what drove her to the madness of the Dark Side. Finally speaking, his voice low and harsh. “Stop your charade, you aren’t fooling anyone Sith. Who are you? Why were you with Evelynn?”

Nemene raised an eyebrow as the Jedi stopped before her cage, a smile growing on her face as she recognized his face. Orange eyes shifted over him for a few moments, looking him up and down, assessing his strengths, his weaknesses. She raised her head slightly, hiding her smile behind her legs but revealing more of her face. A small puff of air escaped her lips, blowing ragged hair away from her face and revealing her eyes.

“Charade?” Her voice was soft, though there was no hint of fear or worry in it, in fact she sounded almost...pleased. “I have no idea what you're talking about, Sopher.”

She smiled as she said his name, the word rolling off her tongue with an almost smug ease. Nemene knew so much about him. Evelynn had of course tried to hide it at first, but eventually she had gotten it out of her sister, and she would use it all.

Frowning still, he fought the urge to use the force and throw her off her little cot. Conceal don’t feel, he spoke the mantra in his mind for a moment and then calmed down. Despite the internal battle, Sopher remained standing nothing changing on his face. Doing his best to not let her little remark or the fact that she knew his name get to him.

Relaxing his shoulders, he gave a slight smirk to the woman. “The charade of you’re some innocent little girl who has gotten dealt the short straw. You’re a monster and you’ll be brought to justice soon enough. Though not before you answer my questions. How do you know Evelynn and why was she with you?”

“I've never pretended to be innocent.” Nemene said almost coyly as she dodged his question a second time. There were a river of mirth flowing from her, she had not expected Sopher to come to her, in fact she had never expected to meet him at all. She would have thought that Evelynn would have told him of her at some point, but apparently that was not the case.

Naughty Evelynn.

She smiled again, hiding it behind her legs as knotted locks fell back over her face. Almost absent minded Nemene felt the bond, twanging it with a slight hint of amusement. She would not only play with Sopher, but Evelynn as well. “I am a monster, I know that. My father told me before I was even ten years old.”

She smiled again, the memories of her father always did that to her.

"But even monsters feel fear." The lie slipped off her tongue almost too easily.

“Do you? Do you feel anything? What about when you were killing those people?” Sopher didn’t let up, his eyes remained narrowed at the woman. In his mind she was the reason after Kaine that ruined Evelynn. Both of them were monsters and they destroyed the girl he had fallen in love with. Fingers wrapped around the bars of the cell and his knuckles turned white. Shaking the door slightly he demanded the woman answer him.

“WHO ARE YOU TO EVELYNN!?” He raised his voice, he didn’t understand why he couldn’t keep cool. The woman in front of him was Sith, a monster, and someone that needed to either be saved or condemned. If she was destined for the latter, he hoped he could do the honor of sending her to the Force. He wanted to tear the smirk off her face for what she has done. Part of him wanted to keep the cell door between them, because he knew that he would drive his fist into her face.

The smile dropped from Nemene's face, her expression suddenly becoming very serious.

“I am her slave.” The words slipped from her completely and entirely deadpan, she was serious. “She is My Protector, My Keeper, My Mistress.”

Her eyes were large, speaking of Evelynn almost as if she worshiped the woman. Her smile was completely gone, and her facial expression was one of pure passion. She looked at Sopher with truth in her eyes.

“I am her slave, Sopher.” She pulled up the sleeve of her dress to reveal marred flesh hidden among perfection. There on her forearm was a deep black 'E' seared into place. Flesh was marred and choked out blackness around the mark, it looked like it had been there for years, it was the mark of a Slave, one in servitude to Evelynn.

The Queen of Rattatak looked up at Sopher, her eyes bearing no hint of lies.
